For the first hour and a half the story begins to develop quite slowly. I almost fell asleep. The acting was average but the special effects were the best to date. I saw it in IMAX but the screen wasn't full screen as per James Cameron's request - 4:3 why? The sound was good. The 3D was kinda blurry and lacked good contrast that most HD movies are known for. Most of the actors don't really work well together to present a great movie. Sigourney Weaver, for example, is up in age and failed to compliment the other actors. Save your money and watch it in regular 3D. Or better, wait for the DVD.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
