This movie is scary for kids 7 and under. But for me it was fun in Imax. It's a great Christmas movie. With a good message.

I really wanted to see this movie after seeing the previews during another 3D movie event. First thing...Jim Carrey is awesome and will undoubtedly earn awards for this movie. But... I read a lot of the reviews before going to see the movie. Calling the movie "dark" doesn't even begin to convey this movie. Not only is it dark from a humor standpoint, but dark physically as well....the whole movie is in the dark except the end. The flight scenes are very cool as are the snow effects. I don't think it is appropriate for under 13... younger children will like the effects but will not understand the concepts. The movie is rather boring overall; the best part of the movie was shown on the previews. I wouldn't go again.

The detail in this movie was impeccible. But having vertigo I couldn't watch all of the flying scenes. Being a fan of the original 51 version with Alistair Sim and George C Scotts version, I expected Scrooge to be a little less ugly and dirty. Too many liberties taken with original story like the fire eyed horses and the miniature Scrooge. Why can't directors stick to the original story line. Scrooge in outer space....come on!!

My husband and I love the Dickens story. Both of us know the book and several other movie versions very well. And we loved this version. It was true to the spirit of the original story and was intensely entertaining as a visual and dramatic experience. I loved the score and especially have been moved by Andre Boccelli's "God Bless Us Everyone." This version of "Christmas Carol" is not just a kids' movie and Dickens' original didactic intent was kept intact. However, my 9-year-old niece and 7-year-old nephew will love it and I can't wait for them to see it. That being said, I would not recommend it to kids younger than 7 as there are some intense scenes that could scare the young ones. Go see it -- and God bless us everyone!

This was my first experience watching a full feature 3d movie. We took our three children and everyone enjoyed the movie. It was a little scary, a little funny, and while not exactly like the book, the feel of the story was very Dickenesque. Thank you for a wonderful time. All movies should be 3d!

Along with Avatar, this 3D movie sets a very high new standard - few hokey effects here - and the snow falling makes you feel 10 degrees colder! Not an old Christmas Carol rehash, this is one of Jim Carrey's better movies - too bad he's animated! And don't take children to this one - I have to admit the ghost of Christmas future scenes are extremely intense and very dark! The ghost of Christmas present is unapologetically portrayed, though not by name, as Jesus himself.

The Imax 3D experience added to an already great holiday film. Should become one of the annual classics. Jim Carrey, Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, and the rest of the cast were excellent cast choices.
