I refused to go see this movie unless it was in IMAX first. It was amazing. It has alot of everything for everybody. It's funny and action packed,and the effects were unbelievable. Its so fun to watch it didn't even seem like 2.5 hrs had gone by. Will defnitely be owning this when it comes out :)

The plot made only slightly more sense than Push, and some things (such as bandages and clean clothes) popped up out of nowhere like in a cartoon, but if you wanna watch robots beat the living cr*p out of each other and get some nice glimpses of Megan Fox, I highly recommend it.

Who cares what the critics think? This movie is action packed from beginning to end! It definitely had more plot than a lot of movies and the characters are great. The voice actors in the movie coupled with the CG make the Transformers come alive. This was an excellent sequel and watching it on IMAX was a wonderful experience. I can't wait to see it again!

This movie was entertaining from beginning to end. Yes, there wasn't much plot. But it's a movie based on a cartoon based on a line of toys! Perspective!
Action packed, great visuals, some good humorous bits added - even Skids and Mudflap weren't the racial caricatures I've heard they were made out to be, they were just comic relief.
It could have used more Bumblebee.
Oh, and spoiler alert - Constructicons = awesome.

The movie was a great! The action keeps coming, which is what my 10-year old lives for.
There is a lot of focus on gorgeous girls, which is targeted for an older audience. A dorm is custom-selected for "hot chicks." There is quite a bit of language in the case this is a concern for you. As a parent seeing the movie at the theater could be your best bet. Buying this on on DVD may repeat a lot of what you don't want for your younger kids to see and hear.

After the first movie focusing so much on the Autobots, what I wanted to see in this movie was the detailed interaction between the Decepticons. PERFECT! And the subtle plot points that only a true Transformer fan would realize. I am telling everyone that the IMAX experience was so worth it. I could not describe the special effects and sound. The IMAX made the movie even better. When you have so many effects that are clean mixed with real world imagary the experience is heightened beyond expectation. Well, first of all, let me say I love this kind of movie. It's a true summer blockbuster, and it IS great entertainment.
However, I found it wasn't as good as the original. The humor wasn't nearly as funny, and the mood of the movie was much darker. Rough language was prevalent and not really necessary, especially from the Autobots.
The effects are simply awesome, and it is amazing the level of immersion they achieve with this movie. However, there is simply TOO much. After a straight hour of action, you begin to get tired of watching the almost never-ending battle sequences.
At one point I looked at my watch, wondering how much movie was left.
Still it was a fun ride, and I'm sure I'll be renting it when it comes out.

First of all IMAX is the only way to see this. But even if you don't it will be one of the most exciting thrill rides ever. While some may find the language to be a little rough and there is a fair amount of adult oriented inuendo my opinion is this is a fantastic film for anyone high school age or older.

Briefly, I enjoyed this movie. Compared to the first one, it was equal or better. Although somewhat formula, and clearly including characters intentionally meant to appeal to superficial tastes, I would recommend it. I just hope the stereotypes war can come to an end. It's people with income who buy tickets. It's people who like to join the crowd in watching the show who drive sales. Typically, if you earn money and are social, you tend to recognize silly stereotypes. It gets old.
