I am a huge Twilight fan. The first movie was good but it didn't follow the book very well. New Moon stayed true to the book a lot better and the make-up and acting was much better in New Moon compared to Twilight. I have seen New Moon twice already in theaters and plan to go back a few more times. I can't wait for the DVD to come out and for Eclipse to be in theaters!

New Moon is definitely a great movie for those die hard twilight fans. Perhaps for those who do not know the books will think it a bit long-winded. Honestly, out of all the books, New Moon was my least favorite. However, the movie did a good job of following the book and it was fun.

I though New Moon was fantastic! I went to the midnight showing with a friend and again the next day! As much as I liked Twilight, New Moon was much better.
They stayed true to the book, for the most part, and didn't leave anything too significantly important out of the script. I don't think "book Bella" would have ever b**** slapped a were wolf and wish I could have heard Edward/Rob recite my favorite quote, the whole "my life was like a moonless night" thing, but aside from that I was 100% satisfied.
Jacob/Taylor's new look alone was worth seeing the movie multiple times!
The new element of action was great too.
So Twilight fan or not, I highly recommend this movie!

After waiting for this movie for what seems like forever, it definitely lived up to my expectations! Beautifully done! The one criticism that I have is that I wish the Bella Jacob relationship would have been developed better. I think the new director is far superior to the last. I Can't wait for Eclipse!

This movie was far better than the first, which seemed really low budget to me. There were of course things left out that were in the book, but that is to be expected. I
I really enjoyed the movie and didn't even mind the line I waited in to get into the theater. Can't wait til June for Eclipse.

I saw the movie twice in 2 days. Loved it both times. In fact, will probably see it again this week!
The movie was similiar to the book; kept the "key" points necessary.
Some parts were a bit slow, some parts a bit too fast and others just right. I laughed, jumped, smiled and got teary eyed.
Lautner & Pattinson were excellent. Stewart not as facially emotional as I would have liked to see but overall, she is very talented.
Other actors did an awesome job and the wolf pack delivered.
Would be surprised if NM did not get at least an Oscar nomination for special effects.
Only complaint was the ending. It left you hanging but not in a good way like Twilight did.

Bella needs a personality but the movie was what I expected. I laughed when the audience all sighed when Jacob took off his shirt. Now I am 40'ish and not blind but the reaction was funny. The movie was better than the first since there was action in it. I will see Eclipse in June and see if the three are worth the purchase.

It made Twilight look like it was awful. New Moon is a good family movie and it also gives the Twilight fans what they where after; similarity to the book. C. Weitz did a great job. He was able to create a film that is impossible to please for Fans that enjoy the Books. He captured the essence that New Moon brings to Readers and interpreted into a Fantastic Film that carry's you in similar ways as the book did. As for how long it was I felt like It was 3 min rather than the 2 hrs. I think that its because Im a Book fan, and I just kept expecting more scenes, and they where, so I felt that many things where covered that made the story what it is.

i think my review title pretty much says what i thought of this movie. it was much closer to the book than twilight was and it had more humor in it. there was enough action and suspense for me. and the ending was excellent.

I am a huge fan of the Twilight books, and was a little disappointed in Twilight, however New Moon was way beyond my expectations! My 13 year old son went with me and he's not even a fan and he totally loved the movie. This one is much better done, it's not so dark as Twilight and has alot of cute humor. Will definitely see it again and buy it the minute it comes out on DVD. MUST SEE

I thought the first movie twilight was definitely better! Sure this movie seemed more big budget coz of the new upgraded look and outfits of it's actors and special effect, however twilight movie flowed more naturally and never had a dull moment. For some reason, I felt that the movie scenes didnt flow well and the sequence of the scenes was kinda weird, it was a lil broken and didn't keep me engrossed all the time. I was disappointed with Edward and how he dumped Bella (even though it was to protect her, I thought it was very mean) and also fell in love with the vulnerable Jacob by the end of it! I would watch this movie out of sheer anticipation again however I really hope Eclipse is better.....

Such a disappointment! Events in this book went by so fast and so inaccurately that it would be impossible for someone who had not read the books to keep up or understand. The acting was weak and cheesy. Bella was portrayed as a weak user of Jacob and everyone else around her, Edward seemed like he had the flu and Jacob was the only interesting c haracter except that he had to do most of the movie half-naked. His character was not fully developed.;Even the Volturi were not scary, just boring. Such a waste.

Good movie (my husband even said it) but cheesy in some spots too. Nice abs throughout, always a good thing! They need a new makeup artist for Edward, last few scenes he looked like a teenager with Goth make-up very distracting. The ending? Ha, see you at the 3rd installment for sure!

I understand that the movie couldn't include every piece from the book, but the relationship between Bella and Jacob was just superficial in the movie, as well as her interactions with the wolves; that needed to be a stronger piece of the movie because that will prove to be critical in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. They wasted too much time showing the seasons of her wasting and wanting Edward. The tension between Jacob, Bella, and Edward feels real and clear--just as it should be. As my daughter said the end sucked, but then New Moon was my least favorite of all the books in the saga.

The best yet. GREAT direction. I chose not to read the books but will watch the films. I loved it. Go team Edward...although Jacob and his pack looked mighty fine. everyone looked beautiful. the story was great, intense, suspenseful, endearing. i was captivated by this film. fans....go be captivated!!!

I wanted to take my 12 yr. old daughter out to a movie she would enjoy. I'm not into vampires and not a fan of horror movies. This movie was not at all what I thought it would be. A fantastic love story, full of adventure and a bit a humor along the way. I highly recommend this film.

For a person who has a deep appreciation for vampires, I wanted to retch. Seriously, what's up with the glittery sun exposure nonsense? NO! When vampires come in contact with the sun, they begin to burn up and turn to dust--not glitter like some of my fabulous hometown drag queens. I felt like I was watching a bad teen angst movie; I get it: you've got your emo kid, your jock, your confused depressed girl, etc..., but that's just high school. The only reason I kept my eyes open was because of the special effects (and even those were lacking to a degree).

Wow, I can't believe this movie was WORST than the first Twilight and that one wasn't even very good. There was more suspense/action in the first as well. Even my teen sisters said they weren't into it. The best parts were when Jacob took his shirt off. Reading the books are 100 times better. If you have to see New Moon then just rent it. Seriously.
