I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH NEW MOON. THE NEW DIRECTOR DID SOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE. AND IT ACTUALLY FOLLOWED THE BOOK PRETTY CLOSE. THE ACTING WAS A LOT BETTER. IT WAS AN ALL AROUND GREAT MOVIE. THE CLIFF HANGER AT THE END IS CRAZY...BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVENT READ THE BOOKS. HAHA. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO ANYONE.

Definitely would reccommend to friends. I wish there had been a little more on the relationship between Jacob & Bella, as the film did not elaborate how dependant and close Bella came to Jacob. The wolves were great, with the exception that they were a lot larger (they shoudl have been the size of bears, not sasquatch). And although I am defintely Team Edward, PLEASE FUTURE DIRECTORS, NO MORE SHIRTLESS EDWARDS!!!!!

New
Moon was very well shot. I love the special effects and the action
scenes between the vampires and werewolves were amazing. The acting was
not phenomenal, but overall the performance was believable. The film
stuck to the plot of the book precisely, so I am sure no Twilight fans
will be upset!!! Go watch it!

I thought it was great. I thought they did a much better job sticking to the original story line, compared to the first movie. The actors have really developed a lot and have improved, and matured into the roles. Can't wait for June :)

No doubt, twilight fans will love this movie. But then again, I'm fairly sure they would love ANY movie that had "Twilight Saga" in the title. The film followed the book almost word for word, resulting in basically just a screen version of the novel. The acting was mediocre and the plot was bursting with over-the-top drama and teenage angst. Unless you're a diehard Twilight Fanatic, or ready for some seriously cheesy lines and lots of dramatic close-ups of lovestruck eighteen year olds , save yourself ten dollars and skip this movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The movie was great--way better than Twilight and more inline with the book. I think it was great the way Edward was in the movie more than I thought he would be. I think it could have been longer--and hope the rest of the movies are-to capture more of the things that were left out or rushed. I CAN'T wait for the Eclipse and Breaking Dawn!!!!!! Can never get enough of Edward!!!!

After being quite disappointed with Twilight's inability to preserve the integrity of the storyline; I was very pleased with New Moon. From the opening scene, I was reassured that this screenplay was different.
Readers of New Moon will recognize verbatim dialogue, scene sequences, and scenery. When Bella was running to Edward to prevent the Volturi from killing him, it was exactly as Stephanie described it in the book.
Cinematography and special effects were top notch. The movie score enhanced the scenes and unlike Twilight, none of the scenes seemed to 'drag on;. Excellently done.

Overall, I thought the movie was good. The movie did a great job of following the book as closely as possible. But I felt like I didn't get a chance to feel the many emotions that Bella felt when Edward left, or Edward's feelings, or Jacob's feelings. Those emotions didn't come through the screen. I felt like the movie was a series of events after one another, like there was too many events, to even get a chance to feel what was going on before another scene. It was like bam, bam, bam, and boom!-the end. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. It could have been better. I like the Twilight the best so far and can't wait until the next two.

The movie was great. The first one left a lot out from the book, but this one got in almost every aspect of the book. It was a very close match. Amazing. The action scenes were awesome and the romantic tension between Bella and Jacob was perfect. A MUST see!!!

i saw new moon midnight premiere and i have absolutly nothing bad to say about it . ive read all 4 books, and when i saw twiliqht i was disappointed but i cant say the same for new moon. it had many scenes that were in the book. yeah they changed some things but those changes only made the movie 10x better . once again wayyyy better than twilight . the director did a good job and all the actors/actress big improvment on their acting . cant wait till it comes out on DVD . deffinatly gonna go and buy it !
ps. loved the ending makes you wanna go see eclpise

o.k. so it isnt just like the book, nothing ever is. but new moon delivers more then the first twilight movie. Very exciting and enjoyable. Was great to see Jacob's character evolve in this movie. He did a very believable job and the viewer felt the love he had for Bella. Even though I wanted to see Edward and Bella back together I had to cheer for Jacob as well. He was a very mature friend and protector for Bella and you could feel the love she had for him also.
Christen Stewart did a fantastic job of portraying her feeling for Edward and her devistation when he left her. It was hard not to feel how Bella felt when Edward left her. Her father also did a great job with his role. You have to wonder if Edward never returned would Jacob and Bella's relationship have had a chance?

I thought the movie was pretty good. I thought that the vampires looked funny--almost too much. make-up and too perfect hair. I liked the look of the vampires in the first movie more than the second. But the relationship between Bella and Jacob was portrayed very well. The ending was awesome!
Since New Moon is my least favorite book, I did not go into the movie hoping for something that was not in the book, which is why I was not disappointed.
Can't wait for Eclipse--my favorite book of the series!!

This movie completely sucked. I mean, maybe for 13 year old girls it didn't, but the acting was horrible. "Bella, I don't want to live without you"...blah blah blah...If you want to watch soap operas, stay at home. I honestly think that New Moon was way better then Twilight. The graphics were excellent and I fell in love with it. Personally, I'm in love with Jacob Black. :) Sadly though, they did leave out a lot of details. But otherwise, it was an amazing movie. June 30, 2009. I'm so ready.

It was as good as I expected it to be. The reactions of the audience coincided with my own. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and was so glad that I was able to share it with my daughter. She said that the movie was awesome! We cannot wait until the next one comes out.

One of the best sequels ever! I'm always worried the second won't be as good...well New Moon definitely didn't disappoint. Can't wait for Eclipse!!! Sound track was not near as good though.
