We saw this movie first in 3D and then in IMAX 3D. Definitely much better visual effects in the IMAX 3D!
The story line felt like Pocahontas meets V, too many comments about killing 'Mother' earth. The slander of our military was over the top and unnecessary. The military personnel in the movie were supposedly mercenaries, but dressed, talked and acted like US military. In this time of war, I did not appreciate how Hollywood keeps tearing down our armed forces.
Al Gore would have been proud of this propaganda. I would have preferred they left the political message behind and let us just appreciate the amazing visual effects.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I appreciated the 3D and the amazing cinematography. The details of each plant, creature were impressive. I did NOT appreciate the political statements. As a mother of a military son, I did not like how our military was portrayed.
Story line was simplistic, predictable and done before. I felt like I watched an amalgam of Pocahontas and V.
I find it inappropriate that they are marketing TOYS for this movie. It is NOT appropriate for children that would be playing with the toys.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Bigger budget pays off for fans.

After being quite disappointed with Twilight's inability to preserve the integrity of the storyline; I was very pleased with New Moon. From the opening scene, I was reassured that this screenplay was different.
Readers of New Moon will recognize verbatim dialogue, scene sequences, and scenery. When Bella was running to Edward to prevent the Volturi from killing him, it was exactly as Stephanie described it in the book.
Cinematography and special effects were top notch. The movie score enhanced the scenes and unlike Twilight, none of the scenes seemed to 'drag on;. Excellently done.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

For the true Twilight fan, this movie will not disappoint. for those that have not read the books, subtle nuances will be lost that really enhance the plot.
Certain scenes were verbatim dialogues, others were 'off'.
The baseball scene was played out to perfection! I also enjoyed Stefenie Meyer's cameo appearance in the cafe.
I found the love scenes to be well done and not 'over done' as many hollywood movies are.
All in all, I was very satisfied and I am excited for the next movie already!
