I was pleasantly surprised by this installment of the Twilight Saga.
I thought this movie was more true to the book than the first. The writers managed to get in the most pertinent details so that even someone who hadn't read the books could follow the movie.
The on-screen chemistry of all the actors remains and adds to the feel of the movie.
I attended with my 2 daughters, 6 of their friends and 3 of my Mom friends and all but one of us loved the movie (the one that didn't like it hadn't read the book so she was disappointed that Bella didn't end up with Jacob).
I did find that there was mixed opinions on loving or hating the ending, though. I loved it--thought it was perfect!

I thought New Moon was excellent in the fact it did not stay far from the storyline of the book, Robert Pattinson is the best Edward. Taylor did a great job as Jake as well. Kristin Stewart showed the pain of Bella to perfection!! I can't wait till Eclispe comes out!!! I bought tickets in advance and the line was worth the wait, the special effects were awesome!!! Loved it!!!

I had been patiently waiting for the movie to release and I am so glad I got to see it. New Moon was great!. The story flowed well , acting was great , hair/makeup was great! Very pleased with the outcome. Can't wait to see the next story in the Saga!!

I thought they stuck to the book pretty well. I felt they rushed the ending just a bit. One minute they were leaving the Volturi and the next they were at Bella's. I wish they would have added a bit more in that scene. But otherwise loved the movie!

New Moon was by far way better then Twilight. It follows the book more closely. The pace was good. The make up and special effects were 100 times better. I definately will see this again and will purchase the movie when it comes out on DVD. Cant wait for Eclipse!

I was really looking forward to this movie release and left the theatre very disappointed. The movie was ok but not great. Jacob and the other warewolves were awesome, no complaints there. But, Edward and Bella were completely lost in this movie. I was hoping for more passion and intensity between the two and it was just not there. There were also some really cheesy and corny lines throughout the movie that really took away from how serious the book was.

I expected nothing more or less than to catch glimpses of some of my favorite scenes from the book interpreted for the big screen. Unlike the first film, there seemed to be at least some effort made to link the scenes together this time. I remain conflicted about the characters... of the main three, only Jacob is particularly likeable -- but that is very much the way they are painted in the book, as well. The Twilight series, it seems, will continue to suffer from the dilemma that the more faithful the translation, the clunkier the dialogue and the shallower the characters. Fans of the book will be happy enough with this effort, but I'm not exactly sure that this offering will make anyone else care.

The explosive sequal to Twilight has blown away all expectations. New Moon delivers fast paced action packed emotions, drama, heartache, and salvation for Bella, Edward, and Jacob. Wow...the theater was packed, the story line was easy to follow and incredible. Not too slow, not too love-storish, not too scary...great entertainment. Perfect movie for anyone. This was one of the most entertaining movies I have seen in a long time. Definitely brought the whole theater experience back to life for me. It was packed...the audience, young and old, male and female alike...all were into this movie.

I absolutely loved new moon, I thought it was so much better then the first one. It was great to see how hollywood depicted some of the things in the book. Like how Bella say Edward in the scary moments. But I loved all the charactors and it makes me want to read the entire series of books again. I really can't wait to see Eclipse. I would definitely have to say I have never been so excited to see a series of movies, as I am with this one. Love it!!!

Definitely liked that this movie had a bigger budget than twilight- the lighting had improved lots, edward was paler than bella, and the action scenes were very cool! Those who aren't a fan of the series might not like it, as there were so many things that had to happen in a short amount of time (wish there was more character development). Jacob was really adorable though, and I was torn between him and Edward! Can't wait for Eclipse.

I was not impressed with the first movie, but thought I'd give it a shot after hearing my girlfriends rave over the books...and we're in our late 30's! This movie made me want to go buy the entire "Twilight" series!
Its a great love story with an adventurous / monsterous twist. You'll find that you, yourself will fall in love with these characters as well! So you can easily see the turmoil poor Bella is in! Great Romantic Drama!

I am one of the "older" women who LOVE these books. Edward was cast perfectly but I still don't like Kristen Stewart as Bella. Call me crazy.
Although the movie was really good, I felt that it dragged on a bit during their conversations. Who speaks that slowly and pauses so much in normal conversation?
Also, I'm saddened that they didn't mention the "imprinting" of Jacob and explain that so when the next movie comes out we'll understand the love triangle a bit more.
Over all...I give the movie a C++.

More action, romance and skin. New Moon seemed to follow the book a little more closely so that made for a better experience than Twilight. In addition, the actors really seem to be growing into the characters Stephanie Meyer created. All in all, this was a great movie even if you aren't a big twilight reader.

I LOVED this movie! Like most everyone has said, it is much better than the first movie. I'm for Edward all the way (OMG!), but Jacob is amazing! I like guys with muscles, and he is so buff! When he and Bella ride the dirt bikes and she hits her head and has blood on her face and Jacob takes off his shirt - OMG!!! I could watch hiim take that shirt off over and over again. Like I said, I'm Team Edward, but seeing Jacob like that made me want to rub my hands all over his chest. and I'm 50 years old!

It was definitely worth the wait and even though I've seen a lot of the clips beforehand, it still was surprising and terrific when Jacob became a wolf in front of Bella to save her from his own wolf pack. Now I'll have to re-read the book because it seemed like they put a little too much new stuff in at the beginning and the end to suit my tastes. I'll definitely be buying it when it's on DVD--can't wait! Now on to Eclipse in June 2010--yeah!

It was just as i expected it to be. Reading the book and seeing it live was like reviewing the pictures I made up in my head as I read. This movie was better than the first one. I hope that Eclipes and Breaking Dawn will be just as awesome. I cant wait for them to come out too. I am hopeing that they also make a movie of Stephanie's other book The Host. It is just as good as Twilight.... Goooo Stephanie!!!!
