New Moon was outstanding. The theater was jamb packed and everyone loved it they all clapped at the end. The ones that did not read the books were obvious because they gasped at the end.

If you're not already a Twilight fan, don't believe the hype. While watchable, this movie, like the first in the series, was overwrought and filled to the brim with heavy-handed teen drama. It tries to convey a serious, tense tone, but I couldn't stop rolling my eyes. While the production value was certainly high enough, and there are enough endearing moments for anyone to find *something* to enjoy, I can't honestly recommend this movie. It's a throwaway money maker that will be instantly forgotten once the Twilight craze dies down.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

New Moon stayed very true to the book! It was an emotional roller coaster for me..I felt all the different emotions Bella felt. Taylor was amazing and Rob was perfect, even in the "hallographs". The special effects were amazing too, wolves, fight scenes, etc!
AWESOME movie, hope to see it again!

Followed the book very well. The computer generated special effects with regards to the werewolves was very impressive and made the vampire portion of the movie seem very slow paced.

Chris Weitz did an AWESOME job directing NEW MOON!! The actors/actresses were totally awesome and were true to the Characters created by author Stephanie Meyer!! I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! Way Better Than Twilight!! I wish Mr. Weitz would remake Twilight!! I LOVED how the guys turned into wolves...AMAZING!! Great Special Effects!! NEW MOON is an Excellent, Awesome, Fantastic Movie!! Can't wait for the DVD!!

I was very much suprised by how much this movie was like the book. The first seemed to not be as accurate but this move was dead on and I will go see it a few more times before it leaves the theaters.

This was an amazing movie I will see again while in the theater. I saw it twice in one day, just 2 hours b/w each viewing. We did have to travel to another town since it was soldout at the theater we just saw it at. IT IS THAT GOOD! Chris Weitz and Melissa Rosenberg did a great job staying w/ the book. Rob, Kristen, Taylor...everyone was great. Anna Kendrick (Jessica) really gave some comical moments, along w/ Michael Welch (Mike). This is truly a great movie. The wolf pack was very convincing and all the actors protrayed their character amazingly. VERY CONVINCING. You felt ALL their emotions, you saw it on their faces...VERY GOOD!!!!!!! I wil see again.
ONE flaw...I WISH THE MOVIE COULD BE LONGER. I did not want to leave. =)

I'm hooked on the idea of unconditional love. I've read the books several times and so I loved the movie before I every saw it. It is beautifully photographed and follows the book. If you haven't read the book I hope you like the movie anyway.

Chris Weisz did an amazing job with bringing New Moon to life. The effects were great, the acting was better, the makeup was better and the story stayed very true to the book. I would recommend seeing this for yourself, but get there early to get a good seat as theaters have been selling out quickly.

This movie was wonderful but there are a few things I would change about this film:
1. Edward & Bella are so intense all the time. I wish she would smile more. The little jokes, gestures, the way he adores her – it’s not quite visible enough in the film.
2. Sam and a few of the other werewolves need to be bigger & more intimidating.
3. Some of the acting was sub-par. I’m not speaking of the main characters, as I think Edward, Bella, Jacob & Charlie, are portrayed very, very well. Embrey &- Quil aren’t very good in the 1st scene (in Jacob’s garage) & there are a few other moments that aren’t 100%.
All in all, I enjoyed the film & can’t wait to see it again.

Being a new Twilight fan, I finally understand why some people said that Twilight didn't compare to the book. Some parts were missing or really condensed but the movie does not disappoint. Overall, though, it was entertaining and did leave you wanting more (Eclipse in 06/10 can't wait!). If you are not a fan, you might not like it because it might not live up to the hype. But for those who are, check it out! I did... twice! Enjoy.

I thought they did a great job with this one. More of the book was put into it than the first. Myabe the music selection put in the movie could have had a little more variety, but over all, it was great. Plus, being a young female, how could I not like it? :)

New Moon was well executed. I especially enjoyed the way figments of Edward were incorporated as he continued to watch over Bella. I did however miss the overall monochromatic feel of Twilight...it gave the first movie a more mysterious feel. New Moon was much brighter lighting, clear colors, etc. (that's what a bigger budget allows?) I would have prefered the monochromatic look. It lent itself well to the subject matter, angst of forbidden love, vampires, etc. Overall, Twilight fans will love New Moon, and I'm sure we all will be back in June 2010 when the next film is realeased !

I thought this movie was BORING. I don't think the director captured the emotions of this book. Everything about it was wrong, dull and lifeless. I thought Alice's wardrobe was entirely off. Jasper looked like a possessed freak. Edward, who is supposed to be able to read minds, gets his butt kicked when in fact that shouldn't be a possibility. The music soundtrack was HORRIBLE. Rosalee's and Alice's hair definitely looked like wigs. All the vamps looked pastier instead of paler. They did the "sparkling Edward" a little better than the first movie and the CGI wolves were ok. I don't think the director Chris Weitz was as in love with this book as much as Cathrine Hardwicke was for Twilight.

All I can say is, this director and writers have taken the new moon book and put it word for word on the screen! Its exactly like the book, and they left nothing major out at all!! I'm sooo excited about the movie. It set the story up perfectly and left the audiences hungry to go and read the next installment of the series eclipse. I'd like to say great job to all of the new moon cast. Especially Jacob for his major transformation and the vultori. YES New Moon YES!!!!

New Moon eclipses Twilight, however, it did not meet all the hype. CGI effects were great as well as the photography and the chemsitry between Bella and Jacob.. I am not a Team Jacob fan but he was spot on. However the disappointment was the chemistry between Bella and Edward. I hope they rock it in Eclipse.
Pacing was another problem. I would still recommend it, however, I will wait for the DVD for my next viewing.

I found that this movie does not compare to the book. It was good but I felt that it missed several key points that were explained in the book. Please don't get me wrong the movie was good but the way the media and advertisements hyped it up I expected it to be better than the book itself. I felt like I was let down at the end. THis movie was good but I hope they put more of the book in Eclipse. I can't wait for Eclipse to be released!
