I have not read the Twilight books and I didn't see the first movie until it was available on dvd.
However, having thoroughly enjoyed Twilight, I gladly forked over the $10 to see New Moon on the big screen. I was not disappointed.
The special effects were fantastic and unbelievably realistic. The story line was good, filled with strong emotions, and an excellent job was done conveying those emotions, through this medium, with little dialog.
This movie draws you in and hynotically, captures your thoughts in much the same way "Interview" did over a decade ago.
Suspense, drama, action, humor, and deliciuos eye-candy; New Moon contains something for male and female, old and young. (But not too young.)

I'm not a big fan of the Twilight series or know much about it, but I would recommend this movie to anyone. Love the story line, it had me literally on the edge of my seat.
I would watch it over and over again.
I can't wait till the next movie comes out.

I am a devoted fan of the books and was looking forward to the movie (although New Moon is my least favorite book) While the special effects were good and scenes with Kristen, Rob, the Cullens and Volturi were satisfying, I found it very hard to believe Taylor. There was no chemistry between Bella and Jacob as potential love interests and the scenes with Taylor were like watching paint dry (Sorry but the people I was with all felt the same). Other than Kristen's scenes, the film lacked the emotionality of the book. They didn't capture the emotional satisfaction that you get in the book when Alice shows up and when Bella reaches Edward in time. I would only recommend this movie to people who read the book. Still, I can't wait for Eclipse!

This movie was better than Twilight I think because it brought in more of the goodness of the book. Those of you who are die-hard fans are because most of you fell in love with the books. Twilight in my opinion didn't live up to the book, at all. New Moon was closer to being on target with the story line from the book, it was comical in places but brought out the emotion and heartbreak that was prevelant in the written version. I would definitely recommend this movie to friends and family.

It was a lot better than the first. The actors actually talked to each other, not just inner monaloges. It was good maily the part where the two wolfs get into a fight, it actually looked real.

Slow, needs more action. Can this actress open her mouth to speak - is she high? Less looking at one another and more biting would be my idea of a more exciting "Vampire" movie. I thought it was sappy and corny, but I thought the same about the books.

New Moon has exceded my expectactions. I read all of the books and was alitle dissapointed when Twilight came out because it lack alot of details from the book. Don't get me wrong it was a good movie but I was expecting more out of it.
Now "New Moon" was over the top, I love it. So much more action and special effects but most importantly it follow more the details of the book. I can't wait for "eclipse".
If you are still thinking about wheter or not to go and watch the movie I reccomend that you do, believe me you won't be dissapointed.

This is an excellent movie. Bella and Jacob have wonderful chemistry together. Of course Bella and Edward are always great together. There are some great scenes with Alice, Jasper and the rest of the Cullens. A definite must see! Can't wait until June 30th!

I just love romance and these 2 really show real love for one girl and she equally in returns shows her loyalty and trust and respect. In alot of ways even though they are young the show very mature qualities.

I was very happy with New Moon, the elements missing in Twilight are made up for in New Moon. The characterization and force between Bella and Edward was there this time. They did a much better job explaining the relationship between Bella and Jacob, than they did between her and Edward in Twilight. I can't wait to see the rest of the series.

New Moon was better than Twilight, but I think that was largely due to a better director and Taylor Lautner as Jacob. I am Team Edward, but only because of the book. Based on the movies, I would definitely be Team Jacob. Taylor plays a wiser, more endearing Jacob than the smart-alecky hothead in the book .
RPat is fine as Edward. I can't stand KStew as Bella. I'm sorry people, she is not a good actress and delivers all her lines in the exact same way. The scene with Edward and Bella in the forest in the beginning should have been much more emotional. She ruins these movies for me.
Other than that, it wasn't a bad movie because it stayed pretty true to the book. And Jacob being shirtless for most of his scenes didn't hurt either :-)

Saw this movie with my daughter and we both really enjoyed it. She read the books long before I did and I was glad to see they followed the book more closely. They also had a bigger budget and a better director so over all its a great movie to see for those who enjoyed the books. The first movie to me was a let down given how great the book was.

I would definitely recommend this movie. It stuck to the book pretty much. It just condensed a lot of the book but you got the gist of it. Wish it were longer. I enjoyed it better than Twilight since I am a fan of Team Jacob. It was funny to hear the women in the theater when Jake takes his shirt off to give it to Bella to wipe the blood from her head after the motorcycle accident. I have seen the movie 3 times and will see it again

For my age I have to say this didn't suck as much as I thought it would!
On and all it was a pleasant movie. Very entertaining. A couple of things didn't seem to make sense, but thank goodness my daughter was there to help set me straight .
I also thought the actors did a good job, which is of importance because I don't think we have a particularly strong plot here.

I saw New Moon yesterday and was impressed. This second installment was way better than the first! I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be seeing it again! The special effects were awesome as well as the acting. I luv Dakota Fanning as Jane even tho her part was small. I give this installment 5 stars!

I LOVED IT!!! not cuz it was an OMG AWESOME MOVIE it was a very very good movie. But i loved it because they stayed true to the book.cris did grate in NM.Even thow i new what was coming up i was still held in sospence thinkingabout what was coming.I know edward dosent come out much but hisnot soposto thats how NM is its about Jacob and Bella.Im a team Edward but i couldent help getting drawn in by Jacob.tayler did such an awesome job the cemistry was OMG! lol.All in all GOOD MOVIE if ur a fan of the twilight saga if ur not well u'll think its borring like with ahh Hary Porter idk how to spell his name.I faind the movies borring and the books to cuz im not in to it so same with twilight if ur not in to it u wont get it .

I went to the midnight showing with girlfriends and boyfriend. We all enjoyed it! Some more than others. I read the book and thought that they followed it quite well! I keep hearing people saying how boring it was, or that it has a bad story line, but this movie is obviously based on the book, so they cannot change it to please people. I thought it was definitely better than the first one.

If you like the book you will like the movie because it follows the book almost to a T. it was not disappointing the way most movies are after you have read the book. My boyfriend was a fan of the first movie, but hasn't read the books and said this movie was slower and not as action packed as he wanted it to be, qhich is understandable. Overall, I think it was fun and would recommend others going to see it.
