I thought this movie was good. It was a lot better than the first one, but at times it was still weird and a little off. Occasionally the actors lines weren't what I would imagine they should be, and some of the scenes were either a little exaggerated or not similar enough to the book. All in all, it was a good movie, but I thought they spent too much time promoting the characters and how they come across instead of actually getting into the real character and acting exactly how the characters in the book are.

I loved this movie just as much as i thought i would! the audience screaming throughout the movie wasn't to pleasent but the movie itself was great! Can't wait for the dvd to come out!

The biggest thing for me was that they stayed at least FAIRLY close to the book. My requirement was met. When I read New Moon last summer, I was going through my own "Edward leaving" problem. I connected to this book most of all. I even had a Jacob in the picture. For them to successfully pull this book off meant the world. It was great...now I just have to figure out what to do now that my Edward walked back into the picture...

This movie was phenominal..I can't wait until Eclipse comes out.. I believe it captured the story beautifully and it was more action packed than Twilight..The chemistry on screen between the characters was very well played..

New Moon was much better than Twilight in my opinion. More vampire action. Kristin Stewart acted better in this film. Although the screaming she did in it seemed very very fake like she was giving birth. O.o The wolves were an amazing addition to this action/adventure film. All the actors are perfect for their roles except Kristen Stewart is too spazy to be Bella *if you read the books you would know* and Rosalie because in the book she was described to be the most beautiful woman ever and she doesn't come across as such compared to the other characters. I'm a tough critic, but I will definitely recommend this movie to everyone and I will be watching it again real soon.

Thank you, again, to a wonderful cast and crew for bringing this story to life. I am a Twilight mom, and my 13 year old daughter and I loved this movie. I really enjoyed Twilight, but New Moon is much more sophisticated in terms of film style, editing, story line continuity, and special effects. Well done. The only thing I would have liked to see more emphasized is that Edward did not function any better than Bella when he left her. In other words, they were both completely miserable without each other; it was not just the girl who was depressed. I just hope Bella's reaction to losing Edward does not influence girls who read New Moon and see this film negatively. Girls, NO BOY IS WORTH LOSING YOURSELF. NEVER FORGET THAT!

I thought that New Moon was better than Twilight, book wise, and movie wise. You could really tell that they had a lot more money for this film. And also i like that at some points they were actually making fun of how corny some of the things were. And also the reactions of the crowd are hilarious! AHHHH! OHHH! hahah

Loved the movie! Pretty true to the book, but would have liked to have had more lead in to the Volturi....if you hadn't read the books you would be in the dark a little about them and their powers. But other than that, movie was awesome, can't wait for dvd so I can get my copy!

This is probably the 2nd worst movie I have seen in the past year, 2nd only to the first of the Twilight series. Based on the trailer, I mistakenly thought that there was a chance that there would be enough action to balance all of the lovey dovey garbage, but I was sorely mistaken. My wife and I wish there were some way to get our money back. If you want to watch a real vampire movie, save your money and go rent Underworld or Van Helsing.

Twilight Saga: New Moon - this movie was much better than the first. The special effects and make-up really made the story come to life. Again they did an excellent job of following the book - however, in the story Jacob has a tremendous physical change and it may have worked better to change the actor (he is supposed to be over 6 feet and it even mentions how is face changes). Otherwise, much improvement from the first. I would see this again in theaters.

Twilight was true to the book. Stephanie Meyer takes you into unfamiliar territory with the ultimate forbidden love story. The attraction that the three have is captivating and mesmerizing. The ultimate triangle between a human and two (monsters?) at least that was what they called them in the movie. Of course I would have to disagree or admit that I wish I was in Bella's shoes...team Edward or team Jacob...give me a break hands down...she's the winner!!!!! I am starting to read Eclipse I can't wait to see how all of this ends!!! Enjoy!!!!

Kudos to the writers and to the directors! This movie was great! It surely followed the book more closely than Twilight, and the acting was much better. I loved the ending, can't wait to see what the producers and directors come up with for "Eclipse". I will most certainly buy this movie when it comes out on DVD.

I'm probably one of the few (if not the only) you'll hear say that I liked the movie "Twilight" better in some ways. In particular, the Cullen characters' makeup and wardrobe in "New Moon" were not appropriate for who they are supposed to be: a family that was trying to blend in with mainstream citizens. The makeup not only covered up the actors' natural beauty (when did Jasper decide to get poufed? Blech!!), it also made them look like different actors playing the parts. Way too Hollywood. Less is more, make-up artists! And, hello...Alice is now a school marm? Who decided on those clothes? Now we will have a THIRD director on "Eclipse". I really hope the makeup is toned down and the clothes are hipped-up. Catherine Hardwicke, I miss you.

I was pretty weary at first that it would deviate too far from the book like the first installment of the saga did. However, I am very pleased with how close the movie came. Kristen Stewart definately did an amazing job portraying the hurt and healing that Bella goes through. Robert Pattinson did a wonderful job showing the pain Edward went through leaving Bella. Good ole Taylor Lautner was wonderful as always :) I am totally stoked for Eclipse I just hope they did as good of a job as they did on New Moon!!!!!

I thought that this was much better than the first film, especially when it came to staying truer to the book. I was however disappointed with kristen stewart's acting. she didnt show enough emotion and the emotions she did seem to give seemed very fake and forced. even rob pattinson disappointed me a little with his acting. neither one of them showed an ounce of joy of being reunited. their somberness and scowls didnt help to show their love for each other. taylor lautner however, gave an excellent performance and made jacob such a strong character. hopefully eclipse will be a major improvement when it comes to their acting...and it better be cuz thats my favorite book!

If I could, I would give it no stars. I never read the book, but it is a predictable love story. Compared to the first, it was slow, few action scenes, and the characters all mope around for almost 3 hrs. You can see the same thing by going to the mall--all the teenage angst and drama.

Wow...this was amazing..even better the second time I watched it. I liked the Soundtrack on Twilight better, but this was good too. Great acting, action and then you get Edward and Bella in Italy...amazing. . I recommend everyone see it several times.

the movie was really cool.it had a lot of suspense and I can't wait for eclipse and breaking dawn.
even though the movie was 2 hours and 35 minutes,it felt like 5 hours.
I would REALLY recommend this to a friend.the end was kind of a rip-off because when edward said marry me to bella,the people just do that so they will go to the next movie.

The movie was excellent! In my opinion the movies are much more enjoyable if you've already read the books (which are a very easy, fast read). I can't wait for the next ones! It could've only been better if it was made longer to include more details from the books.

This movie made me laugh, cry, and act like a teenage girl all over again! So much better than Twilight. The men of the wolf pack were amazing! All of the characters (makeup, hair, etc) looked so much more realistic than in Twilight. And oh those golden eyes.....

Most people realize that a movie will never be able to contain the same level of detail that a book does and although this movie was really great, it could have been better had it been 3 hours long instead of 2. Three hours would have allowed more character development of Bella, Edward and Jacob. There are nuances to each of their characters and the relationship between the three which was not brought out in the movie due to lack of time to do so. It will be interesting to see how the movies change with the third movie having been directed by a new director.
