My new favorite movie...it was excellent! Stayed closely to the story in the book...and I should know...I've read them 6 times! The action was great and the characters were even better than in the first movie (Twilight). I'm a Twi-Mom who recommends this series of books AND the movies to all my friends. I've seen the movie 3 times now, taking other family members along each time to share the excitement.

I found this movie to be intriging, and captivating. It flowed from the start with the continuence of the story line. Held your interest throughout the entire movie and left you wanting more....BRAVO!

I thought that the movie was packed with acton and suspense...Of course, some parts were a bit overly dramatic, and not at all how the book plays them out.
I was disappointed in the way Bella was played in this movie. The girl who plays Bella was apathetic and didn't seem as strong as the Bella pictured when the books are read.
My husband loves action and fantasy. He couldn't get into Book 2, but he loved this movie.
I suggest this movie to those who haven't gotten onto the Twilight bandwagon, but who love action.
I also advise those who are hardcore Twilight readers that even though the movie is not as good as the book, give it a chance.

I was pleased to see that this movie adaptation of 'New Moon', the book, was even better than the book. I'm not a big Jacob fan so the book was a little tedious and I think the movie did a great job of telling the story and having Edward play a larger part as well.

I am so happy that they got a new director who had a better sense of the story and did a wonderful job translating it to film. I especially loved how they handled the "Oct- Dec" chapters in the book. It is well shot, everyone looks great and the music is perfect. SOOOO MUCH BETTER. I am team edward and just loved it! enjoy!!!

I love the Twilight series, and both movies. I was a little unhappy with the lack of emotions in a couple of scenes in New Moon because I thought a little crying was in order. I am also very unhappy to hear that Victoria is not going to be in the next movie. Movies are never as good when they change actors. But overall still very pleased and can't wait for the next movie to come out.

I was very pleased with how this movie turned out. I really thought from some of the things that I had read while they were still filming the movie, that it wouldn't be nothing at all like the book. Even though a lot of things got cut from the movie that was in the book, It actually was really good. Even standing in line was well worth it. It left you wanting more. So now I am really anxious for Eclipse to come out. The CGI's and everything were really good.

I loved New Moon and waited so long to see it. Taylor did an awesome job. This was his movie indeed! I had a lump in my throat at times, I really felt his emotion. I felt that Bella could have given us some more real tears and that was a disappointment but overall I give it 5 stars. I also saw it twice already and plan to see it once more before it leaves theaters.

One of the best moments of the movie experience was when Jacob first took off his shirt, and I heard a pronounced gasp from the female audience members. I had quite a chuckle. The acting from all the cast appeared much more defined, and made more of an impact on me. The special effects were impressive, and the dream-like sequences were thrilling. I definitely liked New Moon better than Twilight. Looking forward to Eclipse, and wondering if the action and effects will still keep pace with the book.

The movie was good because it moved along at a nice speed and the acting was far better than Twilight! There were great funny moments and the settings were great. But, there were LOTS more kissing, and LOTS more half naked people.I have to say Robert (edward cullen) has a very weird and disturbing body. Jacob's body was nicer. Overall, this movie was good, nothing unexpected and corresponds to the book well.

After watching the first Twilight movie, which I loved, I couldn't wait to see New Moon. However, I was absolutely shocked!
This movie is boring, boring, boring. The actors' expressions never change, everybody is constantly miserable, nothing ever happens and all good features of the first movie are gone. What a huge disappointment!

Better than the first one, but still way too much teen angst for me. Would have preferred more vampire/werewolf plot, and less teen weeping. The werewolfs look a little too computer generated, but the vampire effects were cool.

My son and husband went with me and my daughter to both twilight and this movie, they got Twilight and liked it, but not so much New Moon.
Having read the books and the 2nd being my least favorite I am not surprised. I thought the movie was just okay. I expect Eclipse to totally "eclipse" this movie. This movie was definitely for the die hard book fan.

I loved Twilight but this movie blew it out of the water. The acting, the graphics, everything took 10 major steps up. The ending left me dying to see Eclipse.

The movie New Moon was SO MUCH better than Twilight was! And I love Twilight and still do. I think the movie was done WAY better than Twilight. The actors did a fabulous job.
I was a little disappointed at not getting more out of the Volturi visit, but it was still awesome!
New Moon is definitely a movie I will watch over and over again. I have already seen it twice in theaters and I am planning on going again!

I actually was surprised at how good the sequel was compared to the first movie. Usually the second movie in a series is trying too hard and doesn't live up to the hype of the first. This movie wasn't that bad. I enjoyed it, but I'm not obsessed as some other people are, such as my sister who has already seen in twice in theatres. The effects were great with the werewolves changing form and the flashbacks, it was as if we were feeling what Bella was. The directing was fantastic, by the way, props.

I am a big Twilight fan, I fell in love with the books and went to see Twilight, which I liked, I expected more from New Moon because of the director,Chris Weitz, and the bigger budget they were working off of. Although I know they can't keep to everything in the book or it would be a 6 hour movie, I thought they could've added another 20 mins to the movie and added in some crucial points from the book. For example, the airplane ride home from Italy. That, I thought, was a crucial point in the movie where they both realize how they can't live without each other and makes their bond even stronger. Good movie, loved the CGI, but wished it was longer. I will still buy it on DVD when it comes out. Can't wait for Eclipse!

The entire movie, we have to watch Bella's NON-ACTING, and it's painfully awful. She looks stoned with every scene that she is in! Then when she is LEFT behind by Edward, she doesn't even act upset or shocked, just high & confused!
Then we get to Edward, he has no real fear, and he's immortal, but it takes him about 3-5 seconds to get out EVERY word. He acts like he's about to cry in every scene, & he's suppose to be a romantic hero?
The ONLY life to the movie was Jacob. He was funny, real, and well, life like! Dakota Fanning was in the movie for maybe 10 seconds, which was a SHAME, considering she's the ONLY good actress in the movie.
Unless your a female between the ages of 11-15, save your hard earned money & wait for the DVD.

After reading the books, I found that I picked apart the movie too much. I thought the acting was great & the effects were awesome. It bugs me that some important things were left out or changed. I also thought that the scene transistions were not very smooth. Overall, good movie.
