I saw Twilight and couldn't wait to see New Moon. I was NOT disappointed! New Moon was awesome! The chemistry between the 3 main characters was electrifying, not to mention the great special effects. The ending leaves you begging for more, so I am anxious for Eclipse to come out in June 2010. Can't wait for the next chapter.

I thought the movie went above and beyond its expectations. I think they casted the Vulturi perfectly and couldn't be more delighted with the way they fit the character Edward throughtout the movie since he was not in the second book as much. Cant wait for Eclipse!

Chris Weitz did a wonderful job directing. The movie flowed so well and stayed true to the book. The action scenes were just enough to make us hunger for more in the 3rd movie, Eclipse. Great job to all the actors/actresses -- definite growth from Twilight. I've already seen it 3 times in the theatre, and could be talked into seeing it again I'm sure. ;)

I really enjoyed seeing this movie. I would recommend anyone into love stories to go watch it! I do believe it is much better if you read the book first, its a lot easier to understand. But over all this was a great movie. If you dont like reading , i promise you ten pages into the book and before you know it is two o'clock in the morning but your arent even tired. I hate reading but i love the book, and suddenly i could't wait to see the movie. While i was reading the book, it was like i was watching the book. The Movie was everything i expected and more. Now watch the movie GO read Eclipse and purchase you tickets as soon as they're avalible. YOU WONT REGRET IT! :)

Although there was a marked difference in director translation, the movie was great. I guess in a few words, "Today's Romeo and Juliet".

"New Moon" was a much better movie than "Twilight," which I enjoyed. There was action, drama, longing & angst (even more palpable), and all of the actors looked better and seemed more comfortable. There were a couple of cheesy moments, but that's a part of the book & of the the construct of the characters. If anyone likes the books and liked "Twilight," then they should definitely go see "New Moon." I give this movie 4 stars for what is it, not because I'm comparing it to a great movie like "Shawshank Redemption." I'd give that 4 or 5 stars, but for totally different reasons. I give "New Moon" a 4 for the genre of movie into which it belongs.

I went in with high hopes but it quickly became appartent that this was not going to be as entertaining as the first movie. The acting during some of the more "dramatic" scenes made them laughable, and most of the rest of the film consisted of everyone sulking around.

Totally entertained by the whole thing, but not even close to as good as the book(s). Acting and special effects are not the best. Edward and Jacob are not as "beautiful" as the book describes them to be, at least in my opinion. But had a blast going to the midnight showing with friends.

A little off from the book but what movie isn't? Can't wait for for Eclipse to come out! Could have used a little more action when the wolves killed Laurent but overall, I would definitely buy this movie when it comes to DVD. I can't wait! Jacob looks so beefy and hot! Edward is a little more pale than in Twilight but still looks good!

I'm not going to lie. I didn't get into the whole Twilight thing until this summer. And even then I only watched the movie with a friend because she wanted to make fun of it. I really liked the story line, but wasn't thrilled with the movie. It took me maybe four days to get through all the books, and I was hooked! New Moon was my favorite book, so I had really high expectations for the movie. It definitely lived up to my expectations! I'm seeing it again this weekend!!!

Excellent movie. I will be going to see it again and I will buy the dvd when it comes out. Can't wait to see Eclipse. That, I am sure will be just as awesome. New Moon was more with the book than Twilight which I really liked. Great Job to everyone involved.

Movie was great. The new director kept as true to the novel as possible. Much better than the previous movie. I look forward to seeing the next movie. The CGI AND SPECIAL EFFECTS were better than the last movie, only negative I have and it is not about the movie it is about the soundtrack. Every movie has a song that reminds them of the series, ie JAWS, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. This movie should have keep the original score for the movie and the movies to follow it lets you know that you are seeing the Twilight series. All in all wonderful and you must see if you are a Twilight fan:).

This movie was an awesome sequel to Twilight, this coming from someone who read all the books. Of course, some of the parts were left out, and Kristen Stewart's acting does not do Bella justice. However this movie is thrilling, entertaining and worth seeing. The ending might be a bit of a shock/disappointment. If the ending had been different it would get a 5/5 stars.

I wasn't expecting anything spectacular after the movie Twilight but, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. I thought New Moon stayed right in sync with the book. All I can say is "WOW". Now I am chomping at the bits to see Eclipse in June! So glad Stephanie got a new Producer.

Overall it was an ok movie. It was much, much, muuuuch better than the first one. The acting was better, the effects were well done and the directing in general was much better. I have to say even though this was my least favorite book, it was my favorite movie so far.
If you're a twilight fan, definitely see it. It follows the book pretty well and was pretty entertaining. The wolves were pretty awesome.
If you're not a twilight fan, it isn't a terrible movie, but if gooey teenage romance makes you gag, don't go. For you guys, it might be worth waiting for the dvd.

Seriously, when comparing this movie first to the book, and also to the first movie, New Moon was simply excellent! Where the first movie was filled with awkward silences, New Moon had witty and humorous banter. Where Jacob was kind of a wiener in Twilight, they really buffed him up in New Moon, making him closer to what I imagined when I read the books. The movie theatre scene was hilarious and exactly as I had pictured it to be! And that torn feeling I had in choosing between Edward and Jacob was very present in the film. Overall, this was an excellent adaptation of the book, and I look all the more forward to seeing the next two.

I wasn't looking forward to New Moon as much as some people because I was worried there wouldn't be enough Edward in it. Turns out Taylor Lautner did such a good job (in acting as well as beefing himself up) that it turned out just fine! I thought it was awesome, never a dull moment, I felt a part of all of it until the end, and was sad when it ended! It seemed there was a bit more comic relief in New Moon than Twilight, which made it all the more enjoyable. I don't know that I'm a huge fan of Kristen Stewart's acting, *but* it seems it's exactly what her part calls for, and she does it well! Robert Pattinson could just stand there, of course, and say nothing and his performance would be the best ever, but, ya know . . .

I was a little surprised that some of the best scenes in the book weren't in the movie.
But , overall it was great and my daughter and I really liked it . After waiting for this movie for so long we were not dissapointed. We are even more excited to see Eclipse in June.

The movie followed the tone of the books, following Bella's depression trough well. But I was disappointed they felt the need to add physical fighting to the scene with the Volturi, and the near fight at the end between Edward and Jacob. Part of the point is these characters are smart enough to resolve conflicts without resorting to fists. Too bad writers and directors aren't.
