The movie followed the tone of the books, following Bella's depression trough well. But I was disappointed they felt the need to add physical fighting to the scene with the Volturi, and the near fight at the end between Edward and Jacob. Part of the point is these characters are smart enough to resolve conflicts without resorting to fists. Too bad writers and directors aren't.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
