As for depicting the book, this was a great movie! Rob & Kristen absolutely sizzle as Edward & Bella. Then in comes Taylor and adds that extra zing! There were light moments that made you laugh and several times you wanted to cry. I'm a Twilight Mom and couldn't be happier with the movie New Moon. Anxiously awaiting Eclipse and wishing that Summit would get to work on Breaking Dawn!!

Let me preference this with the fact that I am a Twilight Saga fan. I have read all of the books along with my daughters. I loved the movie New Moon. It was much better than the Twilight movie. New Moon followed the book better. The graphics and special effects really enhanced what I had already imagined when I read the book. It is a must see on the big screen.

New Moon is amazing, you could feel the tension and the love triangle with Jacob,Bella and Edward just sucks you in. Bella is the luckiest girl in the world. The people picked for these movies roles are right on the mark. I am a hugh fan, but each movie is better than the next.

I have now seen this movie twice and plan on seeing it again this weekend! While I am a huge fan of the books, I feel that the bigger budget and new director really allowed this movie to stand on its own two feet. Kristen Stewart did a much better job of acting this time and Taylor Lautner really transformed in this movie! The only downside was the soundtrack. I really enjoyed the soundtrack from Twilight and was looking forward to this one as well, but was a little disappointed. All in all though this was well done and I cannot wait to see the Eclipse and see where they take the CGI!

Must say I was concerned about New Moon not meeting up to the expectations with a new Director. But, they did a brilliant job. Must say, introducing the wolf clan, Jacob with his transformation.. The depressed Bella, Edward Cullen's almost suicide with the Volturi.. Must say I wish we had more scenes with the Volturi but from reading all the books in time we will see them more. Well done with New Moon! Can't wait for Eclipse!!!

The movie was very good but they should have stuck more to the storyline in the book. They left out alot of important scenes and comments from the book and they added things that never even happened. We enjoy the series because of the way Stephanie wrote it - try to stay closer to that. I can't wait to see the remaining two movies, which will hopefully be more like the books!

I didn't expect this to be a good movie, but I wanted to go see it, being a fan of the books and just wanting to have some fun.
It was.. enjoyable.. but it wasn't a good movie. I think the special effects were pretty lame, and the acting mediocre, but can we all agree that Taylor Lautner is hot???
Nothing against all of you who really liked it, just saying, it wasn't for me.

I thought this movie was a lot better than the first one, but the quality was still not great. My husband thought most of the scenes looked very fake. The acting is not superb, although okay for a pre-teen girls movie I suppose. I read the books first and enjoyed them much more than the movies. The books provide a lot more detail - my husband kept asking questions because he couldn't follow everything in the movie; there were some holes in the movie storyline that were filled in from the book. Overall, I thought it was decent, but it didn't live up to my expectation I had from reading the book.

As a more "mature" Twilight fan who read the books and owns the first movie, I was very excited for the release of New Moon. And the New Moon team did not let me down. The characters were developed well, the story line didn't disappoint and the ending left us anxiously waiting for the next sequel. I'll be adding this to my DVD collection when it's available. If you liked Twilight, New Moon is amust see!

I loved this movie from the opening credits to the ending credits. Chris Weitz did an amazing job, I thought this movie was going to be awful like the first one but I am glad that I was wrong. I guess I just don't like Catherine Hardwicke's directing style. Let's just hope Eclipse will be as good as New Moon.

Better special affects than the first and the plot sticks pretty close to the books. Some nice comedic zingers in there, too. There's enough action to balance out the angst making it a good choice for a 'date movie' if you're trying to convince your prince charming to go with you. Avoid the afternoon showings to avoid seeing 'Twilight Moms' swooning over bare chests or go if you like people watching :)

I'm a huge fan of this series and although New Moon was my least favorite of the four, I loved the movie. Kristen's acting (which I often found flat in Twilight) has greatly improved and she looks amazing! Robert Pattinson so embodies Edward...I have no complaints with him whatsoever. Taylor is well cast as Jacob and does a great job given the transformation his character undergoes. Although lacking in the height department (what was Jacob...6'8"?), he definitely has the buff bod that made everyone in the audience sigh in apprecation. The story stays very close to the book, which I appreciated. I'll definitely be seeing it again.

I went with my tween niece to the midnight show last week and loved it! New Moon is so much better than Twilight! We will probably see it again in theaters and can't wait for the dvd!
The director and cast did a great job in keeping to the story and the special effects are fantastic!
Looking forward to Eclipse and Breaking Dawn!

I was very impressed with New Moon. I thought the story line of the movie followed the sequencing of the book close enough where you didn't feel like you were missing out on any huge parts in the book. The special effects were much better than in Twilight and overall was just a much better movie.

Althought I absolutely love the Twilight books, I could hardly stand to watch the first movie. Kristen Stewart's awkward acting and fumbling made it difficult to stand. This seemed to improve a little bit in the second one, and I'm quite pleased.
I'm also very pleased with the way this movie stuck to the story line...I think they improvised on a few things, but for the most part it was the same. There were some poorly written parts, but all in all a great movie that I have already seen again. And I will probably go see it a third time.
