Great! Except that one part...

Overall a well done movie, clean, nothing overly spectacular. Decent graphics and good effects. Lots of shirtless guys with great abs, for ANY excuse.
There were only a few seconds in the whole movie that were fail... they made everyone in the theater groan. That whole scene was okay, if only they'd cut off the first few seconds of the most idiotic slow motion running through the forest in romantic bliss.
Good audience participation if you can ignore the idiot teenage girls complaining about who did which actors make-up and proclaiming their love for whatever hot guy was shirtless at the time.
Worthwhile to see with friends in a theater, but also worthwhile to just wait for it to come out on DVD.

Great movie. WHole different cinemotography angle than Twilight, but it really works. I loved it and reccomend it to anyone who just wants a fun movie to wacth. Don't go into it expect an academy award worthy movie.

I kept my expectations low considering the first dissapointment and I would have to say my expectations were met. I was hoping for a better movie but now realize that couldnt happen with the same cast. I will wait for the DVD on the next two and read the books again if I truly wants the Twilight experience!

Exceeding expectations

Simply put, New Moon is the movie adaption everyone was hoping Twilight would be. I never found myself lamenting over parts of the book that were missing from or added to the movie. Chris Weitz did an impeccable job of beautifully bringing the story to life. I was surprised with the quality of acting this time around, especially Kristen Stewart. She portrayed the emotion perfectly and without irritating lip biting. Too bad the critics won’t take the Twilight Saga seriously because it seems like attention should be paid to her performance in this one. All in all, I'm very much looking forward to viewing New Moon again so I can appreciate other things I missed.

It was very accurate to the book, but some parts were left out. None too important though. The new director Chris Weitz was amazing with the graphics and just the direction of the actors period! Way better than the first one. I would have watched it over and over again if I could. I'd definitely recommend you to go see it.

How Can You Not Tell the Cullens Are Different?

Not sure why the new director decided to have every vampire in over the top colored contacts. The vampires (Cullens) are supposed to blend in to society and yet they all have these *new* fake golden eyes. They didn't look the same. Edward is so pale, he has lost most of his appeal.

The movie was good, and covered the book; however, I think the scene when Edward leaves Bella was totally weak (if you didn't read the book, you won't understand her pain) and when Bella gets the paper cut - wasn't as exciting as when you read the "New Moon" 1st chapter at the end of the Twilight book - most of us ran out and bought the second book for that reason.

Overall, it was a good movie.

I am obsessed with theTwilight Saga! However, I had major disappointments with the first movie. It was so hard to remain objective towards New Moon. I didn't feel any awkward acting moments like I did in the first movie. Did it leave out parts of the book? Sure. But in my opinion, it left out the more boring parts of the book. I was also aware of the necessary changes in plot timeline. Again, understandable for the plot. I am definitely happier with the production of New Moon over Twilight!

This book was my least favorite and I always skipped parts that included Jacob Black. Taylor Lautner made you fall in love with Jacob and possibly see a relationship there with Bella. You wanted them to be together at one point...but of course when you see Edward you're like "NO WAY!" haha The movie stayed true to the book and the depression was DEFINITELY there. The actors skills have gotten better! Although I did hate how the actors look and the bad make-up...I still loved it.

Much better than twilight. The story stuck closer to the book and the effects were pretty cool. Taylor Lautner is smoking hot and that right there is worth it. The only thing I didn't enjoy about the movie was the Kristen Stewarts performance. She is almost painful to watch in her awkwardness that's way too over sold.

I began my New Moon journey wirh sheer excitement. I have read the book, a couple of times, and the movie did an excellent job in representing the spirit of the novel. I loved how all the charactors matured and how the actors perfected them since the Twilight movie. I thought the new cast was great, but I would llike to see some of the wolves buff up more in Eclipse. Rob Pattinson is a cutie hands down, but he needs to beef himself up a little. You could tell his abs were touched up with paint. Enough nit picking. The movie was beautiful. You could feel every emotion every charactor felt. I hated the ending, only that I wanted more, but I am patient , and I know what lies ahead. I will be wating for Eclpse in btaed breath.

New Moon was waaay better than Twilight. They stuck to the book better and I was happy with it, but I felt like a lot of important parts were rushed through, and I was really disappointed in the way the voltouri was explained to Bella in the movie, and that they didn't take more time in the Cullens house with Edward explaining Carlisle's experience with Bella. but all in all, the movie was great, and I was definitely happy that they didnt have the stoner looking guys playing the wolves in this movie, because yes, I sooo noticed that the guy playing Sam in New Moon was not the one who was Sam in Twilight, and Sam and Paul are HOTT!! MmmmMmmmMmmm!!!

Loved the first movie, it was a good set up and done well for the budget and small focus it was given. But this movie dove straight into the deep drama that makes me love this story. It had a lot of expectations and it by far exceeded them all. Went to the midnight show and will be going again tonight, and then again and again, and again!! LOVED IT ALL!!!

I am a HUGE fan of Stephanie Meyer. The books are phenomenal. Twilight was HORRIBLE! I could barely stand to see how badly her work was ruined and changed in the first one. So I expected similar results in this movie. I was AMAZED how close they came to the book. Of course things were left out. Time limits kind of make that happen. Unlike Twilight the plot flow was almost perfect. No awkward moments. It was JUST RIGHT! I cant wait to go see it again and again! I LOVE IT! Cant wait til June for Eclipse!

The New Moon movie was awesome!
The werewolf technology was outstanding!
The lighting and vocals were top notch, and better than any other movie I have seen in years! I could actually hear the actors and see what the dirrector and actors had wanted to show. New Moon is a superior motion movie!

I think they did a great job. Of course, there is always room for improvement, but I think the special effects were infinitely better than the last movie. Actors actually acted, well. The look of the movie was better, it was less blue. Kristen Stewart didn't stutter or blink as much and think there was some pretty good character development. The book is still better, but that is the way it will always be. I think there were some areas that should have been played up a little more, like the breakup scene. The music was pretty good, it added a lot to the movie. And there was not a lot that was noticeably inaccurate or different from the book.

I didn’t like the kissing between Bella and Edward; they both looked pained to being touching each other. The first kiss at school was perfect, the second at her truck I actually was pained just watching it, the moan that Edward lets out, it’s like it really hurt him to kiss Bella. The love they are supposed to have just doesn’t seem to be there like it is in the books. Are they playing up the budding romance between Jake and Bella, and Edwards struggle to leave Bella and how much that pains him. That could explain why it seem so awkward when they kiss. Even the ending disappointed. I hope it gets heated in Eclipse or the love we come to expect will be slided by the vampire- hunting -human saga that seems to be taking over.

New Moon stepped it up 10 notches over Twilight. Thank you Summit for actually giving this movie the money it deserved to be made. Thank you Chris, Melissa, and Cast for keeping true to the book and the characters. I will be going to see New Moon as much as possible before it leaves theaters. I cannot wait for Eclipse I really hope David gets it like Chris did.

I felt the movie was good but did not like the fact that they talked about suicide and that they dwelt so much on Bella's depression. The Italian scene it was way to dark. I did like the special effects but the were not fantastic. I am sure that teen and young adults will enjoy the movie but as for the 30+ it would or could be a disappointment.

for those looking for new moon to follow the book more than twilight it does in some ways. it follows the basic story line but a lot of stuff is noticable that they changed.

basically what im saying is when you go to watch the movie dont expect any more than its new moon the MOVIE and your not gonna see all the things you thought you would from the book.

all in all i really enjoyed the effects and i think they did do a better job than twilight. any of the missed stuff didnt bother me too much after the action really started kicking in.

As a huge fan of the books, I went in with high expectations for the film. I was not disappointed. I totally loved this movie and I think Chris Weitz did a fantastic job directing the movie and all the actors were terrific.

I am a Team Edward person, and I thought Robert Pattinson did an exceptional job again as Edward. He seemed so much more comfortable in Edward's skin...he was in a word - Edward.

Don't listen to the critics. This is a great movie full of adventure, intrigue, mystery, romance, and all the great ingredients that make this love story unique and unforgettable.

I plan to see it several more times this weekend!
