I was delighted that the director stayed true to much of the book, combining parts where he could. The Volturi scene was AMAZING. Now with that being said, I felt that the begining of the movie lacked the intensity I was expecting. It did seem much more of a hollywood movie which is fine but it lost a little of the special intimate feeling Twilight had. Also it cut out some of the bond Jacob and Bella had. Rushing through some scenes didn't do that period of time justice. I still feel that the movie went above and beyond my expectations. I was on an emotional rollercoaster balancing my tears with laughter.

I've enjoyed each Twilight movie for its own uniqueness. It would be impossible to squeeze everything from the book(s) into a little more than 2 hour movie. I felt everyone did an excellent job and the ending was perfect. This isn't simply vampires ... it's romance, family, and so much more. It provides a great escape for those of us who have to live in the real world each and every day.

I couldn't believe I got talked into taking my daughters to the midnite showing of this movie, however I was impressed that it was quite better than Twilight.
It was captivating at times and I could hear my daughter crying during some of the sad parts. The special effects were very nicely done and the setting was awesome and at the same time eerie. However, I was not very impressed by the acting. Bella seemed unemotional, Edward was distant, nevermind handsome and Jacob all buffed up for this part, was not truly believable. I think that the beauty of the actors and the storyline is what will keep people coming back for more.

Saw it at 11:59 opening night. Some things were changed from the book, but it was so minimal that it's almost not worth mentioning. If you haven't read the books in a while you will enjoy it. I was able to quote the lines that would come next.
The direction was much better but he still liked to use spinning shots that started to make me dizzy. Too much with the shirt off it just got annoying because a much of it was just to get the girls screaming.
The acting overall could still improve, but compared to Twilight it is much better.

It was so much better than twilight, and that was made even more obvious by watching Twilight right before. The effects, music, acting, script, everything was stunning and breathtaking and heartbreaking.
Perfect for New Moon.

With respect to the squeals from teenage girls in the audience - there just was not much here! The movie was far too long, dis-jointed, poorly acted, loaded with below par CGI and cheesy special effects. Worst of all were the many interminable angst-ridden scenes of forbidden love. They seemed to be lurking at every corner. Whatever happened to vampires being killed by the sun, shunning garlic, being terrified of water, sleeping in coffins, avoiding stakes through the heart and living in cobwebby castles? I miss the good old days & the bloodsuckers of yesteryear!

The previous movie was certainly one of a kind and it took a unique person to like it, but this movie was a phenomenal improvement. The acting felt genuine and the dialogue wasn't as forced and rigid. This time the movie was much closer to the original book but it explained things well for the people who haven't read the book. There is much more purposeful humor in this movie. Where the first one felt like a slapshot documentary that made you laugh at all the wrong points, New Moon invites you to laugh at the right parts and feels more like a major motion picture. Even the action was cool. Overall I think it’s worth the watch even if you aren't a die hard fan of the series.

Seeing the midnight showing of New Moon was an experience. When I first saw Twilight, I was not a series fan, but after reading the books I enjoyed the story much more. I felt that the acting in New Moon was much better than Twilight, probably due to better directing. I think the chemistry the characters shared in the book was captured on screen as well. The movie was not extremely accurate to the book, but it would not have had the same entertainment value if it had been. I would reccomend seeing this movie even if you didn't enjoy Twilight and I can't wait to see Eclipse.

New Moon was so much better than Twilight. Jacob and Chief Swan were so perfect. The fight scenes and special effects were great and it really did the books more justice. It seemed that they put more effort into following the story line and added a few fun jokes and jabs along the way. They also tried to explain more of their talents and stuff for those that have not read the books. Overall it was a really great movie and so worth standing in line for the midnight showing!!!

I saw Twilight after reading the book (which I was a 'late bloomer" for both the book and movie), and I thought it was AWFUL! It didn't stack up to the book at all. But New Moon was amazing. The graphics were better, the acting was better...everything about it was just much more realistic, and much closer to being on point with the book! I am definitely planning to see it again soon!
I didn't really appreciate the screaming girls during the movie, but it sort of comes with the territory of seeing the first show!

New Moon was great! Everything that was wrong with Twilight was fixed in New Moon. The directing, acting, filming techniques, and musical sound track and score were all greatly improved. This movie had the feel that I was hoping for with Twilight. Also New Moon stayed very true to the book, which was really refreshing. I'm so happy with how New Moon came out. If you are a fan of the books then you will like this movie :)

such a good movie. i was so excited for it and then actually seeing it made me so happy. i think it was alot better than twilight. the lighting and effects were amazing. edward's fight scene with the volturi guard was probs one of the coolest fight scenes i have ever scene. and seeing taylor with his shirt off most of the movie was a huge positive. my friends and i loved that! =D

Unlike the first movie, this film has a not psycho director to guide it to success.
Chris Weitz did an amazing job coordinating everyone and everything.
The movie was SO close to the book, unlike the first one.

New Moon, I must say was much better than Twilight. The actors were on point the whole time, and the first movie skipped a lot but the second was really similar to the book; not everything was in it but if you go with an open mind you will enjoy it. The chemistry between Bella and Jacob was just mouth dropping! After this movie I would not be surprised to see Taylor Lautner as the most successful outside the Saga movies. Overall New Moon is my favorite book, and so far my favorite. I was a bit mad about the ending because now I'm craving for Eclipse (:

This movie was INCREDIBLE! It was 10x better than the first one, and that's saying a lot...because I loved the first one as well! It stuck to the books and kept me entertained the whole time. I loved the books and this movie did an awesome job of sticking to the books and making it even better. I hated Jacob in the books but LOVED him in this movie!

The movie, characters, actors, storyline, and effects were perfect! However I thought the music was like cheesy 80's Lifetime movie special, and I thought the make-up made the vampires look like they were sick instead of slightly pale extremely Hot people! But all in all I love it and plan to see it again soon!!!

I have two words for this movie! 'FREAKIN' 'AWESOME'!
I went to the midnight showing even though I had work at 4 the next morning! I would definitely go see this again! And I'm definitely going to get this movie when it comes out on DVD!
Taylor was gorgeous! And Kristin and Robert did an awesome job! It just keeps getting better and better!

The actors did a great job and seemed more natural and comfortable in the roles. The coloring and special effects were excellent. Kristen Stewart did a wonderful job. Billy Burke is phenomenal as Charlie. Taylor embodies Jacob just as well as Pattinson does Edward. The director was incredible. It also stayed true to the book and added cool stuff. It didn't feel rushed or like it condensed the book too much like the first one did. Since the first one is my favorite I kinda wished they had done it like this one and not have condensed the great Edward and Bella stuff from the first one. Also liked the special effects,fight scenes and how they somewhat fixed the sparkling effect. Much better.
