You never know what to expect when going to a movie based on a book. There have been many times I was disappointed but this was not one of those times. Of course I am a "Twi-Hard" so I may be a bit biased. The wolves looked great and with the introduction of the Volturi I was not disappointed!! I can't wait for "Eclipse" in 2010.

Moive was much better than Twilight with respect to the script matching the book. Very good. Unless you're a huge Twilight fan and have to see the movie right away, I recommend waiting until the initial excitement is over and the screaming girls are at a minimum. Several were kicked out of the show I attended because they couldn't get it under control. Taylor drew the majority of screams!!

Having read the saga and seen twilight, New moon is Amazing. Chris did a fantastic job with staying close to the book (thank you for that). With twilight there wasn’t much emotion from the viewers BUT with New Moon I was Crying, Gasping and Laughing though most of the movie. It was nice to see the connection between the characters grow and again Chris did an amazing job and thank you Steph.

My 12 year old daughter and I just loved the movie! I thought it was so much better than the first. The acting was better, the action and special effects were awesome, and the storyline was played out so much more according to the book. I've never wanted to see a movie more than once in a theater before, but I would definetly go back to see this one again. It will be hard waiting for it to come out on DVD. Even Kristen Stewart did a better job (I couldn't stand her in Twilight.) Way to go to the producer and actors this time around.

The director of this movie was amazing. It followed the book really well, better then Twilight. Though Edward was not in it much, the movie was riveting. I was so into the movie. I am def going to see it again! The acting was great and there wasnt cheesy parts like there was in Twilight.

I positively love the books, except this one. I appreciate that Chris kept it short and cut out what could have been hours of the wolfpack. However, I think Taylor did a very good job bringing Jacob to life.
Still not conviced Kristen can act, her emotional scenes are wooden. But I'll still see it repeatedly and buy the Blue-ray.

I'm not very good at writing reviews but I loved this movie! It wasn't too different from the book which may make fans of the books happy. The acting has improved (Kristen has matured especially) and I feel the movie has a little bit of something for everyone. It has action, romance, and it was funny too. Overall it was very sad but it was very entertaining! I'm definitely going to see it again! I don't recommend seeing this type of movie on the first day it is released though because there were too many screaming and stampeding girls. :P

I have been looking forward to seeing New Moon for many months. I've had such high hopes I actually started thinking I might be setting myself up for disappointment... Well, the movie went beyond my expectations. I thought it was absolutely wonderful. I've seen no more than 3 movies in the theater over the last 4 years... I tell you this so you know I'm not one to spend $9 on admission to the movie... I always just wait until its released to rent, however I will be going to see this movie again in theaters & I will definitely buy a copy when it comes out on blu-ray!

If you love the books, you will love this movie. New Moon stayed true to the book, unlike the first one. Very minor details were left out. The wolves and the Volturi were all great. I highly recommend seeing this movie, even more than once!

Ok I am going to be one of the first people to tell the truth here, the movie stuck to the book almost to the letter which was wonderful. That alone mad it worth seeing but if you read the books then you already know. This is a movie about feelings there is no action no climax really. (yes i know the volutire scene but we know what happens there are 2 other books duh!!) so they did great sticking with the book and the cheese factor is really high they make vampires look real and much better in other movies they need to knock down the cheese factor and hire the director of like interview with a vamp. or underworld so that these charecters have some kind of realistic feelings and stop looking like they are constapated.

Yes, I did read the books and I was looking forward to this movie. The movie was so rushed and the timing didn't add up for me. Twilight was great and I wanted the same out come for New Moon but it just never reached that standard for me. This movie was a let down.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I loved this movie! It was great pretty much alll the way through! I was disappointed at the end though. I don think the director should have ended it that way . I think Bella should've answered him when he proposed to her.

Took my 10yr old son to this movie. He didn't want to go and cried that he did not want to see it. By the end of the movie, he wanted to see it again and asked for me to buy the books! BTW, he is on Team Jacob now!!

I think it's the first time I have ever said this: I liked the movie more than the book. Mainly because it saved me from dealing with Bella's loooong and drawn out depression. The book was not the best in the series.
And the movie, well, it's not like it's got top-notch actors, except for when it came to the Volturi - really liked when they were on screen. Exceptional acting by Michael Sheen-- and Dakota Fanning delivered her lines with ART! Totally loved the Volturi.
In all fairness to Kristen Stewart, her acting was much better this time around, but her skills are nowhere near Dakota's.

The people who are giving bad reviews, are the people who have not fully experienced the Twilight Saga. I have read every book. I believe that Twilight was a low budget movie to initially introduce the Saga. Fans embraced the movie and allowed more justice to be given to the following films. This movie was wonderful. If you enjoy Stephanie Meyer's work, then you will without a doubt love this film. If you are clueless, then maybe not so much. This is not your typical blood and gore vampire flick. This is a impossible story of love and friendship and the lines that are blurred. Great movie!!!!

The movie followed the book very well, so Twilight saga book readers will enjoy the movie. As a book reader, I enjoyed it...to a point. Most of the acting was better (I only hated on Kristen Stewart once or twice). But I felt like Robert Pattinson was worse in this movie. I walked away feeling like something was missing though. I never really felt the connection between Bella and Jake from Bella's point of view, so maybe that's it? I don't know. Non-book readers won't like the movie...at all. My husband actually wasn't sure whether Twilight or New Moon was better. And since Twilight was probably the worst movie of all time, that tells me that New Moon definitely isn't great.

This follows the plot of the book well enough, but drags out with Bella's moping too long--which is when they should have emphasized her confused feeling for Jacob more. There's just not enough for the actors to do, poor dialogue and script. It's pretty though (scenery, costumes, make-up) and romantic for team Edward. Moms can stomach going with the kids, but dads are advised to stay away!

My daughter and I saw this movie on Friday 11/20. We both loved the movie. As in most cases, the movie will never be as good as the book, becasue movies can't always put in the little things that make the story line, but there is still a lot to enjoy of this movie. I think so many people get caught up trying to compare everything that they just forget to be entertained. I was entertained for 2 hours. I am having so much fun with this. I can't wait for the 3rd installment and sincerly hope that there will be a 4th installment. It just takes the vampire legend and completely re-writes it. I am in my 50's and my daughter is in her 30's. There is something for everyone.

The movie was everything we had waited for and more! Loved the changes in makeup, the new director, the Volturi and all the attention to detail right down to the ratty way Edward looked when he called (Stephenie Meyer wrote an appendage story to explain where he was and he looked just like she wrote him at that time)! It was great, and even though there were little tiny time shifts (things happening either slightly before or after they did in the book), it was so well done that I'm sure noone cared! WELL DONE YA'LL!! We'll be seeing it again for sure!

Although the beginning dragged a bit, once the story got going the movie was fantastic. The story line was very true to the book and the special effects made it magical.
