This follows the plot of the book well enough, but drags out with Bella's moping too long--which is when they should have emphasized her confused feeling for Jacob more. There's just not enough for the actors to do, poor dialogue and script. It's pretty though (scenery, costumes, make-up) and romantic for team Edward. Moms can stomach going with the kids, but dads are advised to stay away!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
