After reading and re-reading the books several times, (as well as fanaticlly watching Twilight) I couldn't WAIT to see the movie(Saw the 9:45am viewing on the 20th) Afterwards, I have to say it was amazing! In fact, I was so overwhelmed, I think I need a second viewing...just to let it all sink it! For fitting a 500+ page book into a 2 hour movie....couldn't have asked for more, and additionally they stayed pretty close to the books version as well... GO SEE IT!

So of course the guys were gorgeous, but without reading the books there were a few times I was a litte lost. I would recommend this to all, but take a friend who read the books if you haven't so they can fill you in like I did ;)

After waiting for months, I can say it was worth the wait. And I really liked the new directors' choices. It is very wordy, lots of talking, but the book is like that , so it worked. Loved the Volturi scenes, especially how Edward portrayed pain by only his face. Can't wait for the next movie!

The movie is made so much better than Twilight was! The first film (Twilight) was a "B" quality film. New Moon is a regular Hollywood quality production, which makes it all the more pleasant to watch the book interpreted on the big screen! Overall, the movie was true to the book, which meant it accurately portrayed all of the characters, showing us their intended emotions and relationships between each of the them. I was so pleased with the movie that I'll be giving the producers more of my money; I will definitely go see it again several times while it's in the theaters, including a repeat viewing this weekend with my son (who is also a Twilight/ New Moon fan)! It's truly an awesome film and well worth the ticket price to see it!

This movie was all I had hoped for and then some! I was worried if Jacob's appearance would change enough to fit his new transformation and it did!!! The haircut was all he needed:) Edward's appearance still captivated me. The chemistry between all of these actors is amazing!!! Much better than Twilight(~which I have watched over 20 times.) The movie stayed true to the book and was so good that I fully intend on seeing it again and again! I can't wait until I can buy it!!!!
Eclipse is going to be even more amazing!!!

I really enjoyed this movie. Bella and Alice were excellent, just like sisters. There was some surprise humor here and there too! The movie wasn't as depressing as I thought it might be from reading the book. The special effects with the wolves was cool. I loved the ending. I have a new respect for Jacob and his love for Bella, but I'm still team Edward!

New Moon was a vast improvement over Twilight, and actually a rather enjoyable movie that hit all major plot points without seeming laborious. Weitz got it right, despite what the critics might say (though why anyone cares what a middle-aged man says about this series is beyond me).

I was impressed with the special effects, this movie emphasized some more details than Twilight did. The Elevator Scene, I thought that was a little boring, I would rather have the director cut the scene from the movie since the book part was more interesting.
Overall I Love it, I recommend the movie to everyone. It has action, great special effects, sense of humor, romance and very close to the book. If you've never read the book, this will make you want to read it.

I am overly critical of movies based on books, but I thought New Moon was much better than Twilight and better than I thought it would be: when I left Twilight last year, I was whining for hours about this that and the other; they changed too much from the book. For New Moon, I didn't have too much ammo for that. The wolves were almost exactly how I imagined them: big and bad@ss.
My problem is that Jake (+ all of the cast at some point, really) sounded like he should've been in a bad soap opera, and the plot got boring near the end.
All in all, though - not a terrible movie, by itself. Certainly not a favorite, or the best I've seen, but definitely better than the first. I wouldn’t recommend it because it’s too easy to mock.

When I went to see it I expected what all the critics said about the movie and I was apsolutly stunned to see they where ALL WRONG about this movie. It was even better than the first and packed with more action and suspense about what happens next that I was kept on the edge of my seat the entire time. I recommend this movie to anyone who love a good love story, supernatual stories, or even people who like a little raw action.

I've read all 4 books....and I was feeling a lil iffy on this movie being the greatest due to the fact that the second book wasn't all that entertaining compared to the rest of the books. I watched the midnight showing; waiting in line for 5 hours. I've had the best seats. This movie was the best sequel ever, that i've seen. There was everything action, love, mystery...just everything. I"m going to go watch it over and over...Just like bella, i'm torn between my feelings towards jacob and edward....even though she choses one over the other at times...i know here feeling are still mixed....

New Moon was soo awesome many people didn't enjoy it because it seems like they didn't read the book or understand the storyline so for a ll the old folks who wook their kids and disliked it, it just shows you never understood the phemomenon to begin with. So until you actually read the book refrain from saying anything bad about the movie because you have nothing to compare it to. I must admit the end was a bit disappointing but it left us craving for more!

I thought New Moon was much better than the first movie; it was more detailed and easier to follow. I am 47, have a 13 year old daughter who got me to read the books.
I am a big reader and was completely sucked into the book series. Yes, it's a little sappy, super romantic, I don't know how to explain it, but I loved all the books.
This movie was not the best movie I've ever seen, but I still cannot wait to see the next two. I will go back and read the books again. I think the Cullen family characters are wonderfully played by the chosen actors. I wish they had expanded on the Volturi and the trip to Italy; they definitely could have made the movie longer to capitalize on this. I will see the movie again.

Minus the incessant commentary from a few diehard fans seated directly behind me, I still found it hard to get completely into this movie. At no discredit to the actors--as they are obviously capable and had me completely captivated in the first installment, "Twilight"--I rather feel that this is due to the decided change in directors between the two movies. I just felt like some of the key scenes did not convey the gravity of the situation. As I understand the third movie has already been filmed and thus a moot point, might I make a suggestion for the fourth? RUN back to Cathrine Hardwick!

I enjoyed this movie much more than the origional Twilight.I found it to be very much like the book. Saw it with my daughter on opening night in a theater full of very excited fans who weren't disappointed and neither was I.The only down side was Edward looking so scrawny and hairy while Jacob looked spectacularly buff. I'd pay to go see it again.

I enjoyed the movie. Didn't mind the little tweaks for the movie version, on the whole it followed the book pretty well.
Easy to notice the changes... ie: Edwards car, more noticable contacts, all the wigs (Alice, Bella, Rosalie, Jacobs, thought they could have done a better job on the wigs) Edwards teeth, etc...
Movie made to easier to fall for Jacob, Taylor did an amazing job, I didn't like Jacob in the book, love him now since the movie! Good portrayal!

I'm certain if I was a 12 year old girl I'd be all aglow about this movie. But as a grown man I'm not. Personally I found it slow and boring and enjoyed Twilight much more which at least had some action. I was honestly dozing off in the first part prior to Edward's departure. Yes, the movie sticks faithfully to the book. If you are the type who will swoon at the sight of Jacob's beefy body and abs or potential kisses or can't wait to cheer for Edward as he appears on screen, then this is for you. Simply put, this is light teen drama. Fact. But regardless, I am somehow oddly curious to see how the next installment would play out on the screen. If you really want your money's worth, go see 2012 instead and wait for New Moon DVD.

Saw it on the Ultrascreen & all I can say is WOW!!! Beautiful lighting, great special effects without being too over the top. Excellent cliffhanger at the end too. Chris & cast did a marvelous job. Would highly recommend it to a died in the wool twihard along with a newbie fan or new convert. There is something for everyone. Can't wait to see it again. Only disappointment was no teaser of Eclipse at the end of the credits. There is always a possibility in a later showing.

This movie was very well done. The director did an excellent job of making it dovetail with the first movie (and not making it seem like it was a new director). They fixed some of the issues with the first movie which included the eyes of the Cullens as well as the whiteness of some of the Cullens, particularly Carlisle. I will have to say that I liked the score and soundtrack of the first movie much better. At times it seemed more like a major motion picture score versus the beautiful score in Twilight.
Great ending, great job with Jacob and Co. Well done cannot wait to see the next one.

I didn't have very high expectations for this movie walking into the theatre, but I was VERY impressed and entertained the whole way through the movie. Great portrayal of the book (I thought), and LOVED the fact that all the original characters were used in New Moon. Can't WAIT to see Eclipse in June.
