Faithful but disappointing

I'm certain if I was a 12 year old girl I'd be all aglow about this movie. But as a grown man I'm not. Personally I found it slow and boring and enjoyed Twilight much more which at least had some action. I was honestly dozing off in the first part prior to Edward's departure. Yes, the movie sticks faithfully to the book. If you are the type who will swoon at the sight of Jacob's beefy body and abs or potential kisses or can't wait to cheer for Edward as he appears on screen, then this is for you. Simply put, this is light teen drama. Fact. But regardless, I am somehow oddly curious to see how the next installment would play out on the screen. If you really want your money's worth, go see 2012 instead and wait for New Moon DVD.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
