One of those rarities..movie is much better than the book. While the emphasis on Bella and Jacob's relationship somewhat soured the book, the movie was able to be true to the New Moon plot and yet make the movie still a wonderful viewing experience. The scenes are more majestic, the werewolves special effect was outstanding, the Volturi portrayal was grand, and yet the movie retained the charm and romance that made fans fall in love with Twilight.

The movie was great & I liked how you stayed pretty much to the book. We plan on taking our children to see it too.
The only thing I did not like about the movie was the way you fixed Jasper's hair. It was very unflattering. I think when you make movies like these that you should keep all of the characters looks (including hairdo) to the original look. So, please revert Jasper's (Jackson Rathbone) hairdo back to the Twilight pictures look. I would really appreciate it and so would a lot of other fans.
Other than that small detail the rest of the movie was fantastic!!!

The movie was excellent. Taylor Lautner rocked, he was the best Jacob one could ever be. Robert Pattinson did a good job too, but I thought he was trying to hard in this one, maybe it was just the way he was portrayed so much in the movie. Kristen Stewart did another great job, although she has grown up more and made Bella so much more real this time around. The Volturi and the Wolf pack were awesome. Yes the books are always better, but the director and writers this time followed the book very very well. . Looking forward to Eclipse now! But New Moon is a must see for every Twilighter!

This movie is excellent. Chris Weitz really stuck to the book in directing this movie, which means so much to the fans, and I'm sure Stefanie Meyer. Stewart's performance is 100% better in this film than Twilight. You just fall in love with all the actors all over again. I can't wait to see this film again. And again. Honestly, well done.

I was pleased to see that this director treated the story with more gravity... less filler, more depth and emotion. There were some changes to the story, but they worked well for the on-screen translation. The special effects, makeup and cinematography were all far superior to "Twilight" and the characters felt more real. Taylor Lautner looks to be a great contender in the acting world, very believable. (And ok, so he looked great when the shirt came off!)
All in all, loved it - well worth the 90 minute wait in the theater!

The movie followed the book nicely, although I fear that without reading the book some might miss out a little. I felt that it got the key points across but didn't explain the relationships of the wolf pack and the Voluturri as well as the book did. Overall the movie was better than the first, better effects and acting. However, I wasn't totally sold on the closeness of Jacob and Bella as I was reading the book. My 15 year old daughter who hasn't read the book loved it though, as well as generally the entire crowd while we watched it. Some surprisingly funny moments mixed in with the smoldering hot love tension. Would definitely see it again and cannot wait for the next!

The Twilight saga: New moon was great! It stayed very true to the book and had amazing special effects. They captured new moon perfectly. The acting was fantastic on all parts. Being thoroughly disappointed with the adaptation of Twilight, I was hesitant about how this movie would turn out. New Moon, however, exceeded my expectations by far. I loved almost everything about it. The acting, the adaptation, everything was amazing. It stuck to the book with some changes that did not even bother me because they were so well done. I will definitely be going back to theaters to see it again.

I appreciate the efforts made to keep the movie consistent with the book. As always, there is no way to capture all the details in books and put them into the movie, but "New Moon" portrays the atmosphere and main essence of the books, as did the movie "Twilight". I'm eagerly awaiting "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn". Love the entire cast; however, Taylor Lautner really did a superb job in this movie.

Being a huge fan of the books and having read them multiple times, I was a little disappointed with this movie. Don't get me wrong, I will go watch it again and it was a good movie. I feel like if you didn't read the books that you would have no idea on what was going on. I felt like the movie didn't do a good job in portraying some of the crucial scenes....like Bella being completely heartbroken. New Moon was my least favorite book in this series, but for Twillight fans I would recommend it!! I loved how the wolves!! Again, Go watch it...but read the book first if you haven't already to get the full affect of the movie!!!
