This one was so much better than Twilight. It probably had something to with the fact that it was different directors but I felt this movie could live up to the book.

This movie was awesome. It followed the book on such small and simple details that I feel was not done in Twilight. The visual effects were amazing. It was the best movie yet in the Twilight saga.I would recommend this movie to everyone even if they have not read any of the books.

So there will not be any academy awards given out for New Moon, but what a GREAT story. I read the book 4 or 5 times, and was looking forward to the movie for the last year...I was not disappointed. The movie did a fantastic job of bringing out the best parts of the book & the special effects were very good. Obviously the story in general will not appeal to everybody, and neither will the movie, but if you LOVE the story you will love the movie. Better by far than the first!!! Can't wait for the third.

i love the movies and the books. i cant wait for the next one to come out in theaters. stephanie meyers is an outstanding writer and cant wait to see what else comes in the future. im going to see it again and encourage people who havent read the books or even seen twilight to get started they are far behind.

I read all of the books from this series and LOVED them...I also watched the Twilight movie about 4x...LOVED IT!!
Yesterday I saw "New Moon," VERY disappointed. Anyone who didnt read the book would have no clue about the connection of the wolves and vampire and about the treaties they had. I believe a scene detailing this would have been very helpful.
Only good part for me in this movie was the graphics and the wolf transformations..other than that....very very boring. Oh yeah....the ending WILL have me watch the 3rd movie though... :)

The anticipation of seeing this movie was HUGE! I must say that it didn't disapoint, loved it from begining to end. So far these are the best book to movies I have ever seen. Most of the time you leave a movie very disapointed after reading the book. NOT THIS TIME! NICE!!!

Having read all four books, and being disappointed by books turned into movies, and extremely let down by twilight, new moon blew me away. From start to finish it was amazing and the added humor made the characters seem like teenagers again instead of adults. I will DEFINITELY be going to see it again, and getting it on DVD the day it drops.

Often when a book goes to movie I am really disappointed. This film however was quite a surprise. They did an amazing job with the story!!!! I was NOT disappointed but instead as riveted to the movie as I was to the book series. I could have watched for another 24 hours! I truly felt the way they handled the wolves was QUITE impressive and that means a lot coming from someone who works in the graphics industry. They did a great job. The actors played the parts like they WERE the characters. I am truly thrilled with this movie. BRAVO!

The story line in the film followed the book pretty well. The acting was great - I cried like a baby haha. The special effects were mind blowing - I was afraid that when Jacob turned into a wolf it was going to look stupid - but nope, they did an awesome job! I can't wait to go see it again. The only thing I thought was lacking was the passion when Bella saw Edward in Italy...it was a little dense.

New Moon was wonderful! I loved every second of it. They did a wonderful job from the books. The only thing I could have lived without was the 12 year old girls screaming every time it showed someone shirtless. :) Even though I can understand! Jacob looked HOT!

Non- twlight fans really didn't like this movie. I loved it. It was like reading the book over and over and over again. That's way I liked it. I go to the movies (All Movies) to see a story played out in someone elses vision. It doesn't changed my vision but only enhances it. This movie just enhanced for me. I will rereading New Moon before I see it again. And I saw 3 times on 11.20.09!

I liked Twilight but New Moon was better. Which is funny because with the books I liked Twilight better and I found New Moon pretty annoying at times. The action in this movie helped the speed that Twilight was so slow at. I think introducing new characters helped thicken the plot and the director did a great job at making you follow everything. I enjoyed that most the actors really knew their characters well. I've read all the books so I feel this was very important. I thought it was great and fun movie to see and I'd recommend it to any of my friends who are into sci fi or fantasy type movies. And given my age of course I wasn't gasping when the lead characters removed their shirts--I was laughing with my husband.

Def would see it again and again......It was amazing how you didn't know if you were going to be on Team Jac or Team Edward. I think it was just a great story and to see Bella in her extreme highs and lows made you really feel for her, We have all been there in life at one time or another. The movie was amazing.

the movie was okay. i wasnt completely thrilled and awed like i expected to be. i would consider waiting consider waiting a few days before seeing it so you dont have all the chicks in the theater screaming when edward and jacob first come on screen, but overall it was okay and i will be seeing it again later on when the theater isnt completely packed and immature girls arent screaming in hopes that the characters are going to miraculously pop out of the screen.

I went to see this movie expecting it to be completely different from the book like Twilight (which i was disappointed in) but it wasn't! Yes there are some differences and they change some things around because of time I understand but the book is followed pretty accurately. I still think those who have read the books will like it better than those who haven't since we have all the background knowledge of the characters and understand more why things are happening. I loved the movie and can't wait for Eclipse!!

In my recent midnight viewing of New Moon, the excitement was palpable from all the other female viewers which helped further my own excitement. I thought the movie was well thought out and the effects were a grand improvement over Twilight's vastly cheesy attempt at speed in the character's running. The stunts and characterizations were improved. So much more enjoyable. The one problem I do have is the choice of music in the sound track. What were they thinking? It totally ruined the feel of the movie. In one word it "SUCKED". The movie overall was a wonderful return. I can't wait until the DVD release comes out. Can they change the soundtrack in the interim?

New Moon lacked the soul, character development and romance of the first movie in the Twilight Saga. It was entertaining to a degree, with a few good scenes, but without the depth I know possible having read the books and watched the 1st movie "Twilight" which was first rate.

followed the book quite well. Girls were screaming and drooling over the fighting. Computer Graphics were very clear and well made. Bella is a bit of a tease but what women isn't. its true the main lead edward isn't in it 50% of the time but this movie is centered of bella and the jacob(nowb) so people should understand that.
