They took the last movie, and made it so much better. I'm guessing it was the larger buget, but the graphics were much better. Furthermore, it didnt only play on the romance and action, but it was also pretty funny throughout. It was an emotional masterpiece, and i cant wait for the next one.

The movie was engaging, but still doesn't compare to the book. It was full of action and the CG was right on, even non-Twilighters would take pleasure in the movie. Taylor was so delightful to look upon and ofcourse he was skillful in his acting, he is ideal for the character of Jacob. I would advise Edward to keep his shirt on; his skeletal corpse didn't do anything for my viewing pleasure, or the movie. I'm not sure if I am partial to the ending, it was lacking. All that action and in the last ten second, they ruined it.

Thank you, Chris Weitz, for saving the Twilight Saga. I hope they follow your lead with Eclipse. Acting, screenplay, directing, adherence to the book, and especially the special effects, all much more refined than Twilight.

New Moon was awesome, I loved it, this movie was much better than twilight. This move was a close adaptation of the book, which is what made this such a great movie. Really cliffhanger ending.

this movie was good didn't like bellas night mares or the fact that edward always looked in pain, but jacob was played well and they got his character right. it was a little rushed but most people who read the book would say that because its hard to put as much detail in the movie as you do the book. but it was a good movie i would see it again.

I am a huge fan of the books and while I was pleased with the first movie, I knew that some things were lacking. I think the new director has been a great asset to the series, because New Moon seemed truer to the original story. The cast captured their characters well, and Taylor Lautner especially stepped up to make Jacob come alive off the page! I can't wait to see Eclipse as I imagine it can only get better from here!

We all enjoyed (three moms, six 11-year olds, and five-14 year olds)...Sighs, screams - all that good stuff. We all agreed that this film clearly had more money to spend - great effects...These actors were perfect for their parts! Loved that there was a bit more humor and action in this movie...there's only so much teenage angst one can take. We are going again and taking my husband - he is curious about the wolves! I give it 4 stars...my girls insist on 5!!!!

Fantastic Movie for the Twilight fan! If you were slightly disappointed in Twilight because it wasn't quite like the book, you will not be disappointed in New Moon! It captures all main points of the book in proper sequence. Taylor and Rob did a great job. You could feel Jacob's intensity and the friction when Edward shared the scene. Kristen maintains Bella without faltering. The wolves were awesome, and the actors captured their characters perfectly. Overall the acting was far superior to Twilight. You can tell these actors are getting into, and understanding their characters much better. There's no doubt that Eclipse will be phenomenal!

Being over 50 did not stop me from enjoying this movie. It is a wonderful love story where the people involved must overcome incredible odds. Yes the book is always better than the movie but all true readers knew that coming in. The casting I think was 'spot on" although I too pictured Edward being physically bigger. I now think Robert Pattinson is "growing" into this role.
I too look forward to the next two movies but I am hoping I will not have to wait a full year.

I like the movie for it's cleanliness and originality. I took my nine year old daughter to see it after reviewing the first one before letting her view it. I saw less skin or violence in both movies than I do on CSI or daytime talk shows. This is a refreshing change from the normal skin and violence sales. When in fact I think it is the intrigue and hope that sales.

Have to go see it again....the picture was good...just for seeing it the first time ...I couldn't get into it...teen audience were all frazzeled over actors....but it was still good....loved it...and th ending could have been better...they could have gave us a little more of an ending.

Fantastic! I loved it!!!
I saw the Midnight, the 10am and then the 9pm.
I can relax now and wait for Eclipse. It is very exciting and interesting to see the on-film story, it brings the characters closer to us, but the books are still so true and real. Eclipse will be the big challenge, as will Breaking Dawn. New Moon was SPECTACULAR!!!

I went to see this movie with my girlfriend and her sister and they are both big fans of the books, but none of us enjoyed this movie. Stewart's acting was almost embarrassing, and nearly everyone else’s wasn't much better. The only actor who showed emotion vividly and believably was Lautner, but that's not enough to save this movie. I only feel this movie was better than the first one because nearly half of it didn't contain so many of the prolonged and awkward moments of chemistry between Bella and Edward. Unless you are an impossibly die-hard fan who cannot miss seeing this movie, avoid it!

It was so great! I didn't have very big expectations because I thought Twilight was HORRIBLE but this one blew me away. I was really happy that they used most of the script from the book. It was almost exactly how I pictured it when I was reading. And being a photographer/videographer I loved the angles and the way things were set up! THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING!!

I took my daughter to the midnight premiere, not expecting much. I ended up liking the movie. It started slow but picked up and ended well. Definitly left room for part 3.
