Thought is was okay, the first movie was better than the second. I did not like Bella being a weak female, too much drama for someone so young. Also, did not like how she just left with a stranger on a motorcycle, doesn't show young girls the right thing to do. Overall the characters were very good, but I thought some things were better left out. Hopefully the next book/film will pick up some. The ending was good as far as leaving you wondering.

the special effects are amazing, also, the movie kept to the original story quite well, with only a few strays. However, there were problems with the movie. Several parts of the movie seemed very rushed and others dragged on needlessly. I found some of the dialogue to be sub-par but the overall script was enjoyable and engaging.
I found alot of the costuming to be terrible. I thought that Jasper looked horrible...as does rosalie...I thought they looked better the first go 'round.
The camera work was good, although some scenes were made in such a way that it almost made me sick....literally...one scene showed bella on the ground and the camera rotated around her and it literally made me dizzy...

ok...so if you're going see this film because you think it'll be a good showing? GO! It's definately got something to capture the interest of everybody. But if you're going because you fell in love with the books and want to SEE it? RUN, don't WALK! Hurry and see this. The movie is almost exactly like the book. I swear I thought there was someone whispering in my ear, "page 2....now page 3.....now page 4..."
Either way. See this movie. You'll love it.

For having to squeeze 600 pages into a 2 hour movie, Chris Weitz did a great job doing so. He kept the movie true to the book as he promised. There were some points that I wish were touched upon (the Rabbit, Charlie finding out about the Motorcycle, Volturi waiting room, etc.). But then again, when you only have so much time to work with, you do have to cut some things out. I liked the tweaks he had put in the movie as well. The acting improved a tremendous amount as compared to Twilight. The filming was much smoother. And, of course, the CGI was very impressive.
Overall, from a fans point of view, I was very happy with this movie, as it stayed very true to the book.

I loved Twilight, however, New Moon was just wonderful. I can't wait for the other 2 parts, and hopefully more. The ending was so beautiful and I hope Edward & Bella stay together forever.

I loved it. It left me excited and anxious for Eclipse to come out. This movie was visually beautiful. I think the fact that I've read all 4 books helped me know exactly where things were going. I would have been disappointed in the ending of this movie if I didn't know the ending of the entire saga.

This movie was so intense!!! not much stopping of emotions! i want to go watch it again!!! Great Acting and effects! New moon is amazing. The special effects were awesome and as realistic as possible. The cast was perfect, including the new actors. The Volturi were creepy and evil as necessary. My heart really went out to Jacob, much more than when reading the book. Taylor's baby face and his great acting made it happen. I love Bella's dad. I think Kristen is very talented for her age and will only get better and better.

I loved the movie. My friends and I were happy to see that it followed the book pretty well the acting was way better than last time and i think it was great. Contrary to what some critics are writing saying it sucks and so does the books. Obviously they don't know what they're writing about. This is a fantasy story not meant to be taken seriously geeze live a little. who cares what they think. now i just can't wait for Eclipse!!

Depicted the book very well.......I liked it just as much as the first. I think the characters are cast very well also. Is it an Oscar winner?.....no....but, overall, I have enjoyed seeing the first two movies of the Twilight saga so far very much.

I would agree 100% with Hollywood.com's review of the movie. I never saw the first movie, but with all the hype of this one, I thought I'd give it a try... bad mistake. Was not worth the price of the ticket and I probably wouldn't even suggest to watch it on pay per view.

I was very impressed by New Moon! I thought it would be like twilight and not really have too much of the books details in it but i was WRONG! It captured a lot of the important moments that make the readers hooked! I couldn't ask for a better version of the movie! I was lucky enough to go see it the night it hit theaters and I'm and sooo glad i did! I will go continue to see the movie until it hits dvd stands!!!!!

WOW. Just, wow!
It's almost insulting to this movie to compare it to Twilight, it was THAT much better. The acting, directing, cinematography, script, music, EVERYTHING was better.
It definately wasn't PERFECT, but it really exceeded my expectations. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment in this saga. "Eclipse" was my favorite book in the series, and if "New Moon" is any indication of how great the next film will be, I'll be first in line on June 30th!
Bravo to everyone involved in this movie!

This movie is amazing. I went to go see the midnight premier showing with my friend and it was AWESOME! I am a huge Twilight Saga fan and loved all the books and Twilight the movie. New Moon the movie is way better than the Twilight movie and better than the book. I completely recommend going to this movie!

I just saw the movie and it was pretty bad. I laughed so much because of how stupid it was. The acting was just as terrible as ‘Twilight’ and the ending sucked. Kristen Stewart really needs to learn how to not have the same dull and boring face the entire movie. Jacob looked really good (he was the only good thing about the movie to be honest and even his acting sucked). Edward looked ridiculously old and everyone in the theater laughed when he took his shirt off towards the end. Dude has some weird looking nipples, like one was bigger than the other hahaha. Visually, the movie did improve, but that doesn’t make up for the corny dialogue and Bella just being a plain idiot.

This movie was SOOOO good. As a huge fan of the books, I was a bit disappointed in the first Twilight movie. I didn't have high expectations for this one, as I seldom find movies to be as good as the book. This was a true exception - the special effects were great, the movie kept to the book quite well and all of the actors/actresses did a great job. I think they took some acting lessons or received some advice after the first movie. Chris is a great director and I'm so pleased that the movie is so good. I love it!
