I thought this movie was very good. Having read the whole series, tt pretty much followed the story line of the book, there were only a few scenes that i were left out. Those scenes might not have been as important, plus they might have been taken out just because on time. though yeah i definitely enjoyed this movie and can't wait for eclipse and breaking dawn to come out

Overall a very good movie. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because of how cheesy it was in some parts. I went to the midnight showing and people laughed outloud at some parts that weren't supposed to be funny. I then went again on opening day at 8:30 and some people had the same reaction. I am a HUGE fan of the books. I thought this movie was fair to the books while still holding its own. I would still see it again a 3rd time.

If you are a big fan of the books than i'm sure this is a must see movie. However, if you are not then PLEASE don't waste your time. If not for the combined 10 minutes of wolf related special effects I can't say anything good about this movie at all. The movie has horrible acting and absolutely NO flow, at this point it's a poorly told story of lost love and teenage romance that moves sooo amazingly slow at times It was difficult to remain focused, my butter finger nuggets had far more flair than the acting. A total waste of time and money. UNLESS you are a tweener girl, then this is the BOMB!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

It was awesome! I didn't like how they messed with the appearance of the Cullen's eyes. It made them look a little too creepy. Jacob was smokin' hot.

I loved Twilight, and I'm a big fan of the books. New Moon is addictive, powerful, and follows the book. I really loved seeing the book portrayed. The acting is amazing. The end of the movie left me wanting to see it again. It's an amazing movie and an incredible story.

I was scared that I would be disappointed by this movie, as I was with twilight. I wasn't at all, it was a GREAT movie. The entire time I was watching it, shivers were running down my body.

i feel like this movie followed the book really well. there were some things left out but overall it was amazing. the wolf effects were awesome. all of the characters portrayed did very well includin dakota fanning as jane. i loves the books and i loved this movie. it leaves you wanting more at the end.

I am actually going to see the movie tonight, but I just wanted to say that I am sick and tired of reading reviews from people who haven't read the books. The wolves don't wear shirts because they cant, and Bella doesn't lead Jacob on, she loves him, she is just IN love with Edward. And the wolves vs. vampire things doesn't turn into a war, its just a mutual dislike for one another.
Also, New Moon was not my favorite book, I don't believe it was anyones favorite, but it contains to much information, that without the "sluggish" plot line, you wouldn't understand why Jacob has such hatred towards Edward.
Twilight fans ignore the reviews. If you like the series... odd are you will like movies too!

I thought New Moon was very good. It was directed better than Twilight. I personally thought the 2nd book was not as good but this movie made me like it better. Although it was a little of 2 hours long, it did not feel liike it at all. I would reccomend this to anyone.

When New Moon was over, I was devastated. I was so sleepy around 10pm, and was pretty sad about having to watch the movie like this. But once it started, poof!, I was wide awake again. I loved everything about this movie, except the part when Bella laid down in the middle of the woods, because she was heart broken by Edward, and the camera started spinning for like 3 minutes into the movie. I think that the movie could have had a tiny bit more action, but I still love it as is.
Another detail I thought could have needed improvement was, Edward. He needs to gain some muscles, because Jacob totally dulled him out. He could have shown more emotion when he encountered Bella again.

If you are a fan of the books, you will without a doubt love this movie. A few parts seem a tad bit cheeky, but it's hard to put on screen the intense emotion that these characters felt in the books without seeming overly emotional. A great addition to the collection of wonderful Twilight books and movies. SEE IT.

If you've read the book, you should absolutely love the movie. Even you haven't, you may enjoy it - I know my husband found it to be quite entertaining. Money well spent, and I know I'll be seeing it again before it leaves theatres.

I would suggest to those who were not interested in the first installment of Twilight to check out New Moon. The style of directing is far more classic, the sci ~ fi effects of the werewolves was done properly, and the acting from Taylor Lauter was pretty remarkable. I've been an Edward fan from the beginning but Jacob's performance had me on the fence throughout the entire movie.

Continuation of Vampire teen romance now includes a werewolf and opens a door to another world of complication. This movie doesn't offer much of the romantic Vampire lead, but lots of a new romantic possibility. Great on special effects, but loses out on the low key, teen angst aching feeling that made you fall for the first movie.

I loved this movie! After reading the books, I was a little disappointed with Twilight. In New Moon, Jacob was cast perfectly and it seemed to follow the book closer. The acting was a little better too. I don't know if it would have been as good if I hadn't read the books but we loved it!

The movie was good from what I could tell. the second book is my favorite, and I noticed alot of differences between the book and the movie. I think they could have cut some of the scenes out and elaborated on other parts, but overall it was good. If you are not a person who wants to be stuck in a theater with a bunch of screaming teenagers every time one of the two main male characters show up, or some male character is shirtless, I would wait until it has been in theaters awhile and the fandom has died down a little. otherwise you're going to get annoyed really quickly.

It was really funny. I enjoyed the movie a lot. Jasper is so funny, Jacob is the cutest guy. I was worried that Taylor wouldnt be able to pull it off but He did a really good job. Kristen does a great job with Bella, the movie is put together well. the only part I didnt like was when she was in the forest and the camera starts to circle around her, i felt like i was going to get sick. but i loved the movie overall. it was great!

I took my 14 year old daughter to see this although I have also read the books. We did enjoy it more than Twilight - better special effects - a little humor here and there. We did miss the close-ups of Edward and Bella that were in Twilight. We would definitely go see the movie again.

As much as I loved the movie I was disappointed. It was a mistake to change directors. Chris Weitz is a fine director but he took the story to the masculine side, with too much emphasis on the action and special effects, losing the heart of the story and the heart of the relationships. Catherine Hardwicke had a much better feel for the story, the characters, and the audience.
