I watched the movie with my finance and I have to admit that it was actually fairly entertaining. Jacob became a man between last movie and this movie. (I should get in on that workout). Of course, I didn't see a whole lot of vampire action considering this is a vampire chick flick...

This movie was great! I have read all of the books and seen the first. This one was awesome and really put a great picture to the words. The special effects were amazing, and the story followed tue to the books. It was action packed and heart wrenching all at once, just what I expected for this Twilight movie! Now I just have to wit another YEAR for the thrid book to come out in movie form. Can't wait!

Well, I maybe the only one with a discenting opinion, but I thought the movie was garbage. As a fan that read the books over and over and have the books on CD, I would recommend avoiding the movie and preserving the story and plot that you loved to begin with. Its a love story without love, they didnt show how devistated Bella really was by Edwards abandonment , and the reunion was as bland as can be.

The second installment of the Twilight Saga is sensational. From the opening to the end it is clear the the directorial changes were for the better. The plot line flows smoothly, the background is introduced in a easy to understand way, and there is no doubt that Weitz has transformed the young cast members into better actors. The darker storyline of this movie brings the watcher to a darker place than the first, drawing on the human emotion to love and be loved. A must see.

I'm a huge fan of the Twilight Saga, so naturally I loved the movie. I will tell you that if you haven't seen Twilight then I suggest you do so before seeing New Moon. And for those of you who aren't going to read the books but see the movies; this movie is setting up a lot of plots that will unfold in the next few movies.

I loved every thing about the film. Nonstop action. Taylor Lautner really shined in this movie. Edward and Bella's chemistry was stronger than Twilight. I also loved Alice in the movie. Can't wait for Eclipse!!!!!

I absolutlly adored this movie, far more than the first.
I was worried about how they would choose to portray Bella's depression, but I though they handled it wonderfully. The scenes with her working through the emotions with Jacob was wonderful, and I laughed so hard at the theater part! Face Punch, ha!
I was only a bit let down by the lack of showing how Bella, Edward and Alice returned home. The books chapters on this was one of the best passages I read uut of the entire book series, but it was glossed over so much in the movie.
I highlly recomend reading the books before hand, but it's an enjoyable movie with out them.

While I've read all of the Twilight books, this is the first movie I've seen. Not bad and I can see what the popularity is about. Characters are engaging and sincere. Good acting from young actors for sure. It was hard to root for or against Jacob. Very likeable. Even though the movie was over 2 hrs long, it felt a bit rushed towards the end. Like chunks of the book were left out.
Overall, great movie and glad I saw it in the morning but theatre still had kids there who should have been in school!

Great Movie! I don't think it was as good as the first one as far as information. If I hadn't read the books I wouldn't have known this. The ending was great. I loved it. My friend that went had not read the books and at the end she said "No they didn't" she didn't like it. She wont read the books. So she has to wait to til June 2010 to see if she says yes....or no....

I would have liked to see a bit more of the scenes in between major events. And the movie felt a bit rushed in parts (as some transition scenes were cut), but the special effects were great and the movie had me so engrossed in it that the two hours flew by in what seemed like half an hour! Kristen Stewart did an amazing job portraying the intense depression Bella falls into and for the most part, Taylor Lautner convinced me that Jacob was a viable option for Bella as well. I wish the soundtrack used songs that didn't all sound the same, and I wish the songs were used differently in the movie. But the movie took you on an emotional journey almost as intense as the book.

This movie was great. Chris Weitz is my hero for saving this movie. It was 10x better then Twilight and although there as a cheesy part or two this movie more then made up for the fail that was Twilight. There were some mix ups with how things happened but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I am happy with the way this movie is and will see it as many times as I can before it leaves theaters.

We (my daughter,13 my son,10 even my husband) loved this movie. It was very, very true to the book, unlike Twilight. The romance was not as strong as in Twilight. But the 2 books are different, Twilight was about Bella & Edward finding each other, New Moon was about Bella using Jacob as a way to get on without Edward, but forming a friendship with Jacob that cant be broken. New Moon (the book) did not have alot of romance going on, it was more of Bella trying to find her way without Edward. This movie was great and very true to the book. I will watch this movie over and over again. Cant wait for the 3rd one (Eclipse) to come out.

New Moon was so much better than Twilight. The new director did a very good job of sticking to the books plot line. The special effects were also a lot better. The actors also must have gotten acting lessons for this new installment of The Twilight Saga, because the acting was much better. All around it was a great movie that I would recommend to anyone.

This version stayed fairly true to the book, but left out some importants parts of the book. Such as, Bella's tramatic flight back to the USA and the homecoming.
Kristen Stewart needs to learn to look other people in the eye and not look at their chest the entire time she is talking. I believe she was obsessed with Edward and Jacob's nipples!
Look the other person in the eye when you are talking to them! It was extremely annoying.
She was the worst part of the movie and comes across way to whiny to be entirely likable.
Visually, it was better than the first.
I do think that they need to figure out how to make the pack taller as they are in the book, since as wolves, they are huge.

Loved both movies, but this one had great special effects. It captured the best parts of the book. I loved the ending.
For the Team Jacob fans there are a lot of shirtless scenes showing the eye-candy, Taylor Lautner's buff body.
Unfortunately, Team Edward fans will need to wait a little longer to see Robert Pattison shirtless scene.

The essence of the story was lost. The voltri could have been played so much better. The scene was a blur; it should have been shown slower. There was no emotional connection. No matter how badly this director butchered this story, I wouldn't tell a fan not to see it. I love the characters and respect the writer, Stephanie Meyes to much to trash it. The director should be shot, to death.

goood movie! Wayyy waay better then Twilight. Not as good as the book.. but what movie ever it? Probably the best book to movie rendition i have ever seen. The effects were so good. All the characters did an amazing job! No major scenes left out but there were a few tiny details that were different but that didn't really affect it at all. The wolf pack was awesome and the same with the volturi. Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) was SO HOT! I am officially TEAM SWITZERLAND! My favorite scene was when Bella goes to see Jake because he has been ignoring her because he is now a wolf. But its raining and he is shirtless and its just amazing! I want to see it again! I can't wait for Eclipse! Awesome Job! New Moon was GREAT!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon was so much better as far as acting and sticking closely to the book than Twilight. I could watch this movie over and over and really feel like a book I love is coming to life. I want to reply to someone who said Bella's screaming didn't make sense, if you've read the books, then you may remember Charlie and Alice talking about still remembering her screaming, and I feel like it worked that they showed that instead of dialoguing about it like it was in the book. I also feel as though the minor rearranging of conversations and events helped to make the movie flow more easily than if they had been left in the order of the book.

I was disappointed with this movie. The camera angles were TERRIBLE throughout the movie, especially when the camera was spinning around Bella. A lot of the acting was cheesy. I know Edward and Bella's love is supposed to be insanely passionate, but the actors don't have to shiver and convulse for the audience to get it. Everyone in the theater started laughing during the beginning birthday kissing scene. Jacob was incredible, but had a few cheesy moments. Bella is just over the top and annoying with her solemn attitude. Towards the end of the middle section, the movie got amazing. All in all I loved it because of the ending, but I really hope the next movie is better. Why doesn't Stephanie Meyers just direct??

I was prepared to be disappointed in this movie. But I was pleasantly surprised. It was a very good adaptation of the book. The screenplay was well written. I was very happy with it. Kristen still can't act and that's unfortunate because she couldn't be replaced now without hurting the franchise. Robert seems to think intensity can be conveyed as looking like he has a sharpened stick up his behind sometimes but he's so pretty I'll forgive him. Taylor was wonderful as was the rest of the cast. I could have done without the soundtrack they chose, it was distracting at times. The music is supposed to enhance, not distract. But all in all I felt the movie was a good time well spent.

This movie was very well done compared to the first. It is very true to the book, and the effects are much more realistic than in the first one. The small changes made to the vampire's eyes and skin make them much more interesting. People who are complaining about the lack of romantic scenes need to remember the book!
