I took my daughter to see this movie, being that she is a HUGE Twilight fan. I've never read the books, but she informed me that the movie followed very closely to the events in the book. She was really impressed with the movie and was even more excited to see the next movie in the saga. Even though I've never read the books and am not a big fan the way she is, the movie really held my interest and had it's amusing parts. I'd definitely take her to see the next movie and we plan on buying this one when it comes out on DVD. We'd definitely give it two thumbs up!!

Overall the movie is too slow. The breakup with Edward takes too long to get to the next the next segment of the movie. How many months can one girl scream in her sleep about a break up with a dude. I wish there was more action with the wolves or the vampire royalty or both.

Worth waiting in line for. I took my 12 year old daughter and her friend. We waited about 1 1/2 hrs in line but it was worth it. The girls went nuts!

Having never seen the prior movie nor ever read the books, I found this movie an excellent adventure in its own right. Good acting by a cast that is, of course, much older than the high school kids they are meant to portray. Nevertheless, the story flows, the hunky actors glow and everyone has a great time. Please go see it.

This sequel to Twilight was better than the original, though it still had its problems and lack of important details. I think that the acting was better, though still not great and that the transitions from scene to scene were not smooth at all. I used to think that the problems I have with the movies was acting and directing, but now I am thinking it is more the screenplay, since it is written by the same person for all movies. I don't think that the writer is capturing the story well, and that they focus on the wrong details. With that said, it was good, not great, and I will buy the DVD/BluRay just because Iove the story Stephenie Meyer created.

I wasn't really satisfied with taylors (jacob) and dakotas (young vampire) acting skills (despite her short role), unfortunately. I thought the story was riveting, yet boring at times. Overall, I think the anticipation grows on you, in what happens in the next chapter, and how the actors look now from the previous movie, really!

I was pleasantly surprised by this second film in the Twilight series. I hadn't really cared for the first one and took my daughter to see this one thinking that I, again, would be pretty bored. I was completely wrong! It was actually quite good and I think a big improvement on the first film. Everything seemed better about this one, from the screenplay and the music, to the acting and the costume design. I'm now actually excited about the next one!

I liked New Moon much more than Twilight. Could be that I didn't JUST finish reading the books like I had when Twilight came out, but whatever the case may be... It was better! A little cheesy at times but not uncomfortably so.

The movie had similarities to the book but was not true to it. The whole essence of New Moon was missing. Key elemnts left out and unnecessary scenes added. New Moon is about sadness, need, want, passion and I didn't feel that with the movie. I am a saga fan but sadly disappointed.

This movie was good. I was glad that it was not as dark as Twilight. I read the books and they managed to stay true to the books pretty much. I am used to seeing hard core vampire movies but this movie is indeed age appropriate and it caught my interest none-the-less. The wolf pack transformation looked great. In all, I enjoyed the movie and I am ready to see the next one in 2010.

First of all- information and events from the third book do not belong in this book, first of all becuase the scenes they are from would have been much more interesting instead of how they arranged them here. Second- I agree that some of the acting is lackluster. However, the chemistry and physical attrraction of the main characters is distracting enough to make up for the mediocre acting. When it comes down to it, I hesitate to say this was a good movie. The highlight was by far Jacob's character; the volturi were amazing, though their appearance did not match my own visual for them,

I can't even believe how much better it was. the cinemetography is breathtaking and the specail effects were about 20 steps up from twilight. with New Moon . . . it wasn't like watching a 2 hour spoof like it was with twilight. this one actually made me cry. there was humor too. the action was great! im so glad they added it in.
THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS. . . WHY DIDN'T EDWARD SAY THE WHOLE "Bella, before you, my life was like a moonless night. then you came and flashed across my horizon like a meteor. when i left you, the meteor disappeared and i was left in the dark."

New Moon certainly was no disappointment. I loved that they stayed true to the book, which is so important. The special effects were terrific, and Taylor Lautner certainly earned his part by doing all the work required to look "the part" physicially. Bravo Taylor! Anyway, it was a wonderful movie and one I will see again. I think the only thing that was slightly disappointing was the soundtrack. No memorable songs that you want to sing or remember like "Bella's Lullaby". All in all though, excellent film. I can't wait until they release Eclipse and hope the new director does as well as Hardwicke and Weisz.

As much as I realize they coudn't make a movie 4 hours long,they could have added more info. I was disappinted. For thse who nver read the bk, how were they suppsed to knw that Jacob turned into a wolf because of his ancestors and the reason everyone follwd Sam is b/c he was the leader of the pack? Never mentned. How were they suppsed to knw who Jane was and what her true abilities were? She was shrtchnged. There was plenty mre but I don't want to take all day writing this review. I'm not kocking the movie, jst saying that they really could hve re-itterated on sme of these imprtant milestones in the movie. Really looking forward to Eclipse. Hopefully they don't screw that one up.

The movie was really well done. A lot of action scenes. But I was a little disappointed because it was some what anti climatic . I was lead to believe that i would be on the edge of my seat the whole time but found that I was not. I liked Char lie's new more relaxed personality and Jacobs more bad boy scenes. But watching the Voltairey was like watching a scene from batman with the Joker. I will buy the DVD when it comes out to add to the collection. I hope Eclipse will out do them all.
