This movie was better than the first one in my opinion, it had more action and less boiring parts like the first one did, the actors all took acting lessons in between movies, because they were way better this time around. I can't wait for the rest of the films. New Moon the novel was the most boring novel in the twilight series to me, so I think that the director made it more enjoyable in film version. Go see this movie people!

Great movie. Much better than the first and cannot wait to be able to buy the DVD to see it over and over and over. Also can't wait for Eclipse and of course the finale Breaking Dawn. Hope Stephanie M. helps to write the next screenplay. Would recommend this over and over. Sure the book is better but what book is not . However, I loved having the characters alive and well....actors were perfectly cast. I WANT MORE.

If you are a fan of the Twilight books, you will definitley like this movie. It is very faithful to the book, with a little more action to make it exciting. Overall, it was a good movie.

i was actually a little surprised at how well the second turned out since i wasnt exactly impressed by the first. i read the books and loved them so i had to see the movies. im glad i saw twilight but much happier with new moon. though there are a few scenes not in the movie that i think were important to the story the scenes that were chosen for the film were very well done, the acting is definitely improving and i have to say as usual the special effects were amazing. overall great movie, will i see it again...probably not. but i am anxious to see eclipse and how much the actors have grown into their characters...this should be interesting.

Big Improvements

I liked this movie better overall. I did get tired of the screaming and wished an announcement would have been made prior that if it continued, the movie would be stopped until quiet ensued. However, all that aside, the actors looked better, their acting was better, the makeup was better, even their hair was better with the exception of Jasper (something weird going on there). I did think it odd that they changed Edward's car for an SUV, I mean why bother. But the wolfpack was an awesome addition. The special effects were great! I enjoyed that we got to know Charlie more. The movie had a much richer look and feel to it. I'm excited to see "Eclipse" minus the screaming, please.

Twilight - NEW MOON

The movie was fantastic overall. Jacob's character was really done well as well as bringing the werewolves to lit
The mad dash to Italy, where we are briefly introduced to the Volturi, the Italian clan of super vamps who still suck human blood, (Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning acquit themselves as well as anyone with red eyes can) but I think they needed more here.
This does appeal to the young teens as well as the middle school ones. The movie was right on otherwise and followed the book.

New Moon was exciting and captivating. However, to really appreciate the film you would have had to read the book. I felt that all the actors really connected to thier characters on a personal level therefore allowing the audiance to really experience the emotions.

Awesome!!!!

Really brought the saga to the next level. The cast have grown with their characters in maturity & acting ability. Jacob in particular experiences an incredible transformation in this film with a very pleasing visual effect. I thought Edward was gorgeous before this film & while he still is, Taylor Lautner's Jacob gives him some serious competition. Didn't see much of the Cullens in this film, but hope to seel more of them in Eclipse. One scene I wish was not added - when Bella hops on the stranger's motorcycle & rides off. While she was allowed to get off to return safely, in real life that outcome would be highly doubtful. That was NOT a good example for this primarily young female audience!

Better than Twilight...

When I read Roger Ebert's review of New Moon, slamming it for being slow and needed a turbo charge, I was afraid I may be wasting my money. After seeing the film, I completely disagrree with his opinion of the film. This adaptation of the book stayed along the story line a lot better than the first film. Yes, it was slow, just as the book was. I happy to see that a lot of the dialogue was retained also. I hated that we never got to hear Jacob's signature "sure, sure" phrase. The thing that bugged me the most about this movie was that they drew way too much attention to the vampires' eye colors. It distracted me from the characters' appearance. Overall, I was very pleased with the movie and look forward to the June release of Eclipse.

Good but a little disappointing

Like everyone else I wanted to really be blown away by this movie. Taylor Lautner really came into his own in New Moon. He did a great job. I think what ruined it for me is that we already saw all the key scenes in trailers already so I was expecting a lot more. The CGI wolves were good and I wished they showed more of the Voturi. We again had seen all of the key scenes in the trailers. Some of the songs in the soundtrack also took away from some of the scenes. I hope that they did a better job with Eclipse! I think Summit should hold back from showing too much in the next set of movie trailers for Eclipse. All in all it was worth seeing but I wasn't blown away by it.

We watched the movie yesterday and you definitely have to arrive at least 45 minutes earlier, especially if you have a large group going together. We all had to sit in separate parts of the theatre as it was packed. I enjoyed the movie but not as much as the book. There are so many details in the book that would be very difficult to portray in a movie.

This movie had EVERYTHING!! Drama, Comedy, Action and attraction. It was perfect!! I wish more movies were like this. The ending was perfect and left off for the next movie which will be realeased June 30th 2010. Yes I am online now to purchase my tickets LOL Really is a great movie. Stewart must have taken some acting classes since the 1st film as she was fantastic this time around.

I am with Team Jacob. :) So this movie gave him a lot of screen time which was great. I would love for him to be with Bella but the author has other things in mind for him.

I was dismayed again for the second time. I thought this one is way better than the first movie last year but still, it didn't connected with me. The feelings and emotions the casts trying to portrayed were superficial and not intimate. Still, there's a lot of dull moments. Taylor Lautner aka Jacob acted much better than Robert Pattinson aka. Edward. Just like a person with anemia with low RBC's, this guy needs more iron and cobalamin, and more acting workshops....

Overall I thought it was good. The score was awful. I was really dissapointed that during every romantic moment it was ruined by the cue of the cheezy music. Special effects were better. But you would think with the money they are making they would invest more in CGI. Kristens acting was way better. I hated the visual hallucinations of Edward though. They should have kept that like it was in the book. The end left me wanting more. Overall B-.

OMG, I saw it at midnight and it was sooo great that I had to see it again @ 2pm. I will see it again lots of times before it leaves the theater. The visual effects with the wolves was awesome and Robert and Kristen gave performances that were award worthy. Rob's facial expressions really made you feel for him. And the wolfpack looked good. Every female over the age of 10 should see this movie and guys who like action should see it also. This one was fabulous... Counting down the days for Eclipse

Saw it last night and I must say it was very good. For a 2 hour and 10 minute movie it flew by which says a lot, since I did not want it to end. Very suspenseful ending. Looking forward to Eclipse next year! Good acting and great directing!
