It's basically a "coming of age" movie, where the overachiever gets her comeuppance when she sees that she isn't "all that", and then learns a lesson about life and love. The quirky family isn't new, but may be the best thing about this film. Michael Keaton steals the show, and it's nice to see this small comeback. Carol Burnett has some nice bits, also - - she hasn't lost a bit of her comic timing. Sadly, the newcomer lead seems to have mailed in her performance. At best, this is a pleasant film. You could certainly do worse...

Your original boy-girl-in-love-movie.This is a great movie with the right amount of everything- drama, romanace, and comedy! My only complaint would be that it is too short! It leaves you wanting more! I can't wait to see it again!

While I am usually easily entertained I was rather underwhelmed with this movie. I reasonably well assembled cast just was not given much to work with. I found it slow and the parts, her searching for a job, which could have been really good, were never really developed.

It started out a little 'slow' but this movie picked up and really took off. It was good to laugh at common love mistakes and watch the two characters finally get together. It is also a FAMILY movie that you can take all the children to see as well.

It's funny, quirky, romantic, smart and good-hearted. The perfect movie for a summer night! My friends and I walked out of the theater grinning.
My son and his girlfriend also saw the movie the same night we did and they said that the film's themes--- about weighing life's priorities and the willingness to take chances while trying to navigate today’s perilous job market---spoke to both of them.
Plus they kept quoting all the films funniest lines the rest of the night. (Let's just say that Bledel's character has a VERY quirky family.)
Do yourself and favor and go see Post Grad. You too will exit the theater smiling! I promise!

I LOVED it! To me, it was a feel-good movie that made your heart smile! I think a lot of college graduates can relate to Ryden. Life isn't perfect, and it has its ups and downs, but what matters most and what gets you through it is the love of family and true friends. I also enjoyed all the funny little quirks of each cast member! I would totally recommend it to my friends!

It was a great comedy. I just graduated from college so the trailer appealed to me. It was a realistic portrayal of what life is like post-grad. Michael Keaton (father) was so funny. It was a great movie and I do recommend it to others who want to watch a funny movie about a young girl's journey and the lessons she learns about what really matters in life.
