It is a moving story, and Glenn tells it well. My daughter, granddaughter (6), and I saw it together, and I was impressed that the six year old could follow the story without being spoon-fed, as visual media tends to do. Though punctuated with multi-media, Glenn’s storytelling captures the viewer's attention. When tragedy struck, my granddaughter began to cry (not loudly), and wanted to leave. However, she braved through the rest of the show, and the "shocking twist" at the end made it all better. (Nonetheless, she was afraid for me to drive home afterward.) Loved the music, the singer, and the message -- an entertaining, wholesome, uplifting show -- great for adults, teens, and tweens, but a bit gut wrenching for those younger than eight.

As far as I know, Glenn has no training as an actor. You could not tell that from the awesome performance that he gave last night. I realize a lot of personal emotion was involved, but he gave an incredible performance. I hear Broadway is calling for him. I say he should answer the call! Was encouraged to buy these tickets by a colleague and was uncomfortable while watching it. Glenn came out on the stage already crying(and referring to himself as 'Eddie'). It was like he had spent time working himself up before the show so he could cry when he talked (Kept crying through the whole thing). It was just too rehearsed and weird for my taste. The story may have had bits of truth but mostly it seemed made up. I felt like a sucker for investing $42.00 on a pair of tickets after the first 5 minutes.
We left before the first 30 minutes was up and were able to get our money back. Unless you're some huge Glenn Beck fan I'd spend your money elsewhere.

I took my 85 year old father-in-law, my wife, and our 9 year old son. We all enjoyed this wonderful show. Glen Beck should recieve an award for his performance in this show. I would reccomend this show for anyone. I knew Mr Beck was a talk show host but had no idea he could act, wow. The title of this show is the "Chistmas Sweater" it could be the Gift because it is a gift to anyone who see's it.

Glenn's performance of the Christmas Sweater far exceeded my expectations. I read the book and received so much from Glenn's wisdom, but when I saw Glenn's passion, pain, joy and gratefulness expressed in his presentation it exponentially drove the message home.
I highly recommend the movie (and book) to anyone who is going through a storm in their life...and to those who are not...because invariably they will go through one. This is a book about redemtion.
This is very timely with current economic conditions. Laugh, cry and be cleansed. He drives home the reason for the season. Don't miss it!

What a hard lesson for anyone to learn - but to have to learn it at such a young age must have been terribly painful. But I agree with Glenn, that you have to go through the storm in order to become a better person - I think Glenn is a testament to God's undying love and forgiveness - no matter how far and how low you have sunk in your life "redemption, LOVE & forgiveness" will always be yours, you just have to be ready and accepting when it is offered.

The Movie was a nice Christmas Story, The Music was good, Glenn Beck was better then my expectations as a stage performer. Toward the end of the play I felt he was overwhelmed with his story and was too emotional. I enjoyed the concept and look forward to other plays or concerts in this format.

The Christmas Sweater stage presentation was excellent relative to the fact that Glenn is not an actor & production costs were kept low. The original score, based on the Mormon hymn "God Be With You 'Til We Meet Again" was very effective except in spots it was a bit distracting. More could have been done with lighting and background effects to improve the overall experience & singer & little orchestra could have been better tuned, but the message of Glenn's story still came shining through. The message is the whole purpose of this presentation & it's always fun to watch Glenn. So this fan gives it a 2-thumbs-up! The book was a 1000 times better. I can't say enough about the book!

After reading the book in about 3 days, I bought tickets to the live movie presentation as there was no live show near enough for me to make a trip. The book was fantastic, but seeing Glenn Beck on stage acting out the touching and at times heart wrenching story was worth every penny. I would recommend this show and book to anyone. I wish it was able to be taped so they could release on video as I would buy it the minute it went on sale and it would be a viewing tradition in our family for years to come. I love you Glenn Beck and you have touched my soul!

I liked it but now I want to know what really happened in Glenn's life. How did his mom die and did he actually get a bike when he was 12 and what did he really think of the sweater? Did his mom really knit it for him? Was there really a Russel or was he just in the dream. And I want to know about the rest of his life and how he overcame alcoholism. I think we need a movie here.

This ranks right up there with "A Christmas Caroll"! The power of the story is amazing, Glenn pulls you right into it and keeps you captivated for the entire journey. With a little imagination you feel as if you are right there with him. An emotional roller coaster that will make you think more about life than "It's a wonderful life". I know Glenn did not set out to create a christmas classic, he just wanted to share the word but, he has without a doubt created a wonderful Christmas tale.

I am so tired of christmas shows that are absolutely nothing about Christ. The music was great, actual Christmas songs!! The story of his life is heart -wrenching and everyone is able to relate to his heart issues on some level. Our shallowness with life in general and the true brevity of life are shown loud and clear. Although some of the erroneous mormon theology was present , the need for a Savior and redemption was enough to cause someone to pause long enough to know this life just isn't all there is. Redemption is nigh.

I felt lost in the performance as if I were watching someone's life. The words Glenn used with his performance, painted a picture and placed you in the scene...until....the end. Then you felt you were a part of the story as your mind goes to places in your own life that matched up with the story. It's not just for Christians, or just for Christmas. It's for anyone who can reach to a higher place within themselves.

The performance was considerably different than what I expected but I was certainly not dissapointed. Glenn Beck is a fantastic actor but I think that this show revealed the real Glenn Beck and not so much his acting ability. Glenn Beck's performance was superb! His story portrays a life experience one can relate to. The emotions and feelings expressed by Glenn made the story so real. I read the book prior to the show, so the sketches had meaning. The music selections by the orchestra were beautiful and the soloist added a fine touch. What a heartwarming production. No one can leave the theater without reexamining their own lives and wonder what is their answer to "who am I"? Glenn Beck gives his all--obviously to the core--in presenting us with Eddie and those about him. What a great one man show.

The singer belted out the gospel style riffs that, to me, seemed to detract from the story. It was probably the fault of sound carrying from the theater where the show was being performed to the movie theater where I was seated - but it seemed like she would almost screech above the small orchestra. And there were times where the music would be ahead or behind her arias, detracted so much from the mood. Saddest of all, I took my husband for his first Glenn Beck show last night. He's already said he won't go to another.

Glenn, you are worthy. Thank you so much for sharing your story with all of us. I read the book first and saw the simulcast play in the theatre last night. Riveting, take your breath away , tear in your eye, sad happy, emotionaly gut wrenching...and in the end a clear message a simple honest message that a child or adult can understand. A message not only for the season , a message for a lifetime, for each and every day. God Bless you and your family Glenn. My family and I pray for yours and for all those God has touched, but most specialy for those whom God has yet to touch, those lost in the cornfield.

What an incredible show. Glenn Beck was amazing. He was so animated in telling this story and it touched my heart so much. I appreciated the chance to see it at the simulcast and certainly recommend it for everyone.

Not what I had expected at all. It was so moving and you could just feel Glenn's emotional journey. He is quite the actor, but then again, I don't think he was acting at all. He was reliving, which in my opinion is even better. Everyone should see it. It will make you laugh, and cry. I think everyone has been given a "Christmas Sweater" sometime during their life time. Thank you Glenn for bringing it home to me.

I took my 12 year old daughter to see this movie/play. I wasn't sure what it was going to be, but I saw that it was something different to do. I also saw that it would be something inspirational to do for the holidays. We all know that is very important these days more than ever. We loved it, he acted out and told the story so well. The singer and the orchestra was amazing. I love a good story anyway, and this was very uplifting.

Glenn knows how to tell a story!
Through his words, song, and music, I felt what he felt. Happy, sad, joyful, redeemed - all right there in my seat. I left with a new sense of graditude, and my burdens were lifted.
Regardless of your upbringing, Glenn's sweater will touch the heart of every human being.
