This was nothing like I expected. It was fantastic! Eddie-I mean Glenn-made you feel like you were there with him! The presentation would have not been as emotional in the rear of a live performance as when you get close coverage froma camera's lens. It's too bad he does not do more like this. I have listened to Mr Beck for some time now and have always enjoyed him most when he reflects back and tells stories of his life experiences.
The Christmas Sweater is a beautiful story of how Eddie lost himself because of the terrible things he had to go endure as a small child, and how he had to go through the storm of these events to find the important things that have real meaning and worth in his life.

This story truly has a special message and gets you thinking about your life and the way we celebrate Christmas. Glenn Beck's performance was moving and gave me some moments of joy and tears while experiencing his emotional presentation of some of his life events. I originally tried to get tickets a Benaroya Hall but they were sold out. After reviewing our evening at the movie we were grateful we watched the Christmas Sweater in the theater because the camera caught all his facial expressions and body language that along with his story telling totally engaged you in the story. We realized if we were in a auditorium or large hall we would of been to far away to see him up close.

In one word---POWERFUL!!! This is a side of Glenn that I haven't seen before. He is truly inspiring. I drove 1 hr 20 minutes each way to see this show and it was worth so much more. I am hopelessly in awe of Glenn Beck. He tells this story with so much passion and emotion. I was touched with his testamony and his honesty at the end of the show and totally impressed with his choice of songstress. A beautiful singer with the voice of an angel. I love Glenn, now more than ever!! I recommend this to anyone who has ever felt alone in their trials of life.

This movie was a live simulcast of the stage production in South Carolina. Glenn Beck does an amazing job of bringing the audience with him on a fantastic emotional roller coaster ride. I have been a Glen Beck fan for about three years now. We saw him this summer in Oklahoma City on his summer tour. This was not at all what I expected. I was use to humour and sarcasm, and this was anything but that. I really did not know what this story was about, on purpose. I did not know it was going to be bascially a one man show. This really was a wonderful story about hope, redemption, repentance, and faith. I don't think I have ever seen Glen this intense. I was glad that I could be a small part of his own experience. Glenn Beck is fantastic in this. It is a very physical performance and he doesn't hold back any part of himself. The story touched me deeply, but I think I was moved even more by how genuine Glenn was. I would love to go see this again and can't wait to get it on video to share with friends and family. Back in July I saw Glenn Beck live via the big-screen and he was phenomenal. This particular production was not what I expected in terms of "show" but was worth ever penny of the 20 dollars I paid.
Glenn Beck has a knack not only for comedy but for stage shows. I almost think he could be a broadway performer -- but it would be a waste of his influence. I doubt this will be at a theatre anytime soon -- but I'm sure it will be released on DVD. Spend the money -- the message AND the delivery is worth every penny.

The story told by Glenn Beck is extremely powerful. His story of his most memorable Christmas is so personal it can't help but touch the heart.

I did not read the book, did not know what to expect with the play, Glenn Beck is a GREAT storyteller and the ending is uplifting, emotional and filled with hope!

I had purchased the tickets on Nov 27th to attend with my husband. He had been diagnosed with cancer on nov. 10, 2008. On Dec. 13th he passed away and was buried on Dec 17,2008. Something in my heart told me I needed to go. The message was so clear that God would be with me until we meet again.

My husband loved it -cried thru the whole thing. ON the other hand, my eyelids were sore from rolling my eyes and groaning thru the whole thing. It was so nauseating, I left at intermission to get fresh air and prevent having to use my popcorn bag. If you've seen the Wizard of Oz, you've seen this - done better. Don't make me get the flying monkeys! Look out - Tornado! Poppies! Auntie Em, Auntie Em, there's no place like home!. Ugh. I played a game on my phone. OMG. The trouble with radio personalities is that they think we care what they think. Everyone has tragedy in their lives - why does he think we want to relive his with him. Who wants a stinking sad movie at the holidays?
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Very rare these days to find such an emotionally honest production; rare as well to attend a show where the enterainer is unafraid to express and discuss the true meaning of Christmas. Fantastic show. Definitely recommend to friends. I love Glenn.
