I have the show about 20 times on Broadway, and this felt like a whole new experience. The angles they used and how close they got is something you don't experience unless you were sitting on stage. I loved every minute of it!!! I hope to see it again..maybe DVD!!! Can't wait for the tour....RENT FOR LIFE NO DAY BUT TODAY!!!

I have seen Rent on Broadway and on tour which total a dozen times in the past 10 years. It was truely amazing being able to see the actors faces so close, their expressions were priceless. Even after seeing it so many times I still cry when Angel dies but this time I completely lost it when all the originals sang with the current cast at the end. It was definitely a great way to end the era.

I have seen RENT on broadway, in the theatrical release, and have seen the touring company several times, and I absolutely loved the film version of the broadway casts farewell performance!
It was better than having front row seats, and seeing everyone up close and seeing the return of the majority of the original cast brought tears to my eyes.
I loved this film, and if anyone is still able to see it...GO and see it! and Please let them release this to DVD!

I have seen RENT either on Broadway or on tour and while the movie version was good, it didn't compare to the stage version. This filming of the stage version made me feel like I was seeing it again on stage, only with the absolute best seats in the house. I can't wait for RENT Filmed Live on Broadway to be released on DVD. I will be one of the first to own it!

I have loved this show for the entire time it's been on Broadway. I have seen it twice, once in jacksonville, once in New York City. I saw the same cast that was filmed minus Tracie Thoms and the girl who played Mimi in New York, and they were just as fabulous on screen as they were on stage. I cried and was so pleased to see a picture of Jonathan Larson at the very end. While this was amazing, seeing it live and in person on the stage is 100 times better.

I saw RENT for the first time here in Boise when a tour company performed it and I fell in love with the songs and the characters. I was happy to relive this experience when the movie version by Chris Columbus came out, and for the most part, I liked the movie a lot. However, after seeing the filmed last live stage performance at the Nederland, I know that this version of RENT is the one I want to watch in the future!! What a thrill to be in the audience to see this production. We all clapped, laughed, and cried. By the end, I felt that I had been on that stage with the characters. Count me in as one who will definitely buy this if it is released on dvd. Please, if there is a theatre god or goddess, let this be released on dvd!!

I've seen RENT 12 times on Broadway and four times on tour, and I cannot explain how disappointed I was in the 2005 "movie." Having the original cast did not make it a good film! I was excited when I heard the stage production would be filmed, and I was right. I felt like seeing this was almost better than seeing it live. It was filmed beautifully (with a good cast, too), and seeing it from every angle of the stage at once was amazing. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves RENT or has never even seen it! (PS, if you haven't seen it, don't even waste your time with the 2005 movie.)
