Sequels tend to outdo the original with more "stuff", which sometimes is just overkill. However, this was a lot of fun to watch and I didn't find myself annoyed by any of the characters.

Wow. This was the most mediocre movie I have seen in a while. There wasn't anything too super spectacular about this movie. Robert Downey delivers, but that goes without saying. Don Cheadle was ok. Scarlett Johansson was ok. This movie wasn't able to showcase their talent. The story was bland. The action was bland. The dialogue was good. If you know anything about Iron Man, this movies seemed to be lacking, however if you went into this movie without knowing much about Iron Man, than it is probably pretty good. The end was very anti-climactic, in fact it ended the same way the first one did. I was hoping for more, but Iron man 2 just doesn't deliver.

This is definitely a movie that's worth every penny for a comic fan or an avid moviegoer.
The only complaint I'll have about it is that around the middle, it can drag, but that's part of the movie formula. Not one actor was "weak" in the movie, especially with Cheadle filling in as War Machine.
A strong start for the "Summer Movie Season", hoping to see other strong contenders of being a great film.

I couldn't give it 5 stars, only because the first Ironman was a tad better than the sequel. I also feel that Jon Favreau should either stay behind the camera and just direct or actually get in shape (if he is going to attempt to portray a body guard). Previews will never sway my ratings of movies I've seen, I just want to take a moment and inform movie fans, that the promise of the Super 8 preview is hogwash. The "preview" showed a train crash with a bulging train car. I am getting very tired of the movie industry empty promises when it comes to this type of preview. So much so that I will boycott spending my hard earned money to see this in a theater and I hope others will too. Okay, I'll step off my soapbox now. BTW - there is a teaser after the Ironman 2 credits, so hang out for a few minutes for the credits to roll.

While the film was not as good as the first, it is a very nice follow up. I was impressed with the acting caliber and the high level of writing to match the first. It flowed seamlessly, which can be difficult on some franchises. The action was amazing, kind of like watching someone destroy Disney World. Special effects were impressive and it was hard to tell the fake from real settings. Cheadle was a great replacement, I think. Downey as Stark shined once again, along with Paltrow's strong performance. Rourke surprised me since he did villain pretty well, at least facial and body language. I love superhero movies, even if I don't read the comics, and I really think this was a strong continuation. Definitely one I'll be buying when it comes out. Worth the 12:01 late night viewing with a solid story that didn't force your suspension of disbelief to break.

Everyone else has raved over this already a 100 times and I am no different. I am a comic fan and even though I never got into the Iron Man comics I LOVE these movies. This one was in many ways better, yes BETTER than the first. To keep this short if you like the first one then you will like this one. Opening intro was the best I've seen in awhile (SFX, AC/DC, hot women dancing, etc). Storyline built upon the legacy of the first movie and added new sequences and twists. As far as sequels go, this is one of the best sequels I've seen so far this year. Looking forward to the next movie in the series!

Iron Man 2 was simply amazing. Nothing else can really describe it. I loved Tony Stark's arrogant and narcasistic attitude keep you entertained in between all the smart ass remarks and ass kicking. Definitely a must see for any comic book or action film lover.

When going to a midnight show, having been up all day working it is not always easy to stay awake. No prob with Iron Man 2! Action filled sequel delivers. You are going to hear most people say “it wasn’t as good as the first one.” & to be honest, they would be right. This doesn’t mean that Iron Man 2 WASN’T good, because it was. Once again, ILM does an amazing job with the visual effects and the actions scenes are quite fun to watch.
As far as the acting goes, it is solid over all and better than most popcorn flicks. I personally liked Terrence Howard in the role of Jim Rhodes, but Don Cheadle does a great job in the film. Also, I want to mention that Scarlett Johansson who is not typically known for her hi skill level in the acting department, is pretty good here all things considered. I also gotta add, that DAMN she looks great in the Black Widow outfit!
In the first movie there were a few “wow, that was really awesome” scenes especially when Iron Man travels to Afghanistan (or where ever it was) and saves that village, but not so much in this one, though there are very many cool things in it still.’
The end sequence is fun and visually awesome to look at, especially when “War Machine” gets involved. I think the comic geek fanboys (which I very much am) will enjoy it and even those who fall outside of that group will like it.
Lastly, STAY for a scene after the credits! It relates to something very cool in the Marvel Universe if you are a geek like me and are in the know. ;) So basically, go see it!

If you liked Iron Man, you'll like this one too. It's just a little darker than part 1, but nothing like the Dark Knight or anything. Effects are great, make sure to stay through the credits for the last scene!!!

Funny movie with badass action sequences, but it wasn't that good. Would recommend "Kick-Ass" over this movie. However, I like what Marvel is doing to set up the Avengers movie.
Rourke was pretty bad-ass, and Rockwell played a decent bad-guy. Cheadle as the sidekick initially threw me off, but he's good enough. The plot sucked a lot, but that was kind of expected: its summer blockbuster time, not Oscar movie season.

It was good. Some holes: Why did they switch actors for Rhodes? How did Rhodes already know how to use the suit? but se la vis. Stay past the credits for a little teaser.

Went to the midnight showing and had a blast. Fans cheered, laughed and really enjoyed the movie. The buzz outside the theater told you just how much everyone enjoyed the movie. Good action, they kept the comedy, Scarlett is so Hot and kicks serious butt. I rate my movies on if it was worth what I paid and would I want to see it again. Yes on both accounts my daughter went with me and is already asking to go again.

I loved this movie. There were places where they could have added more plot, but the graphics and the movie overall was just amazing and I would recommend it to anybody :)
