I thought the movie was good, entertaining but highly overrated. I have seen many other movies this past year that were just as good if not better than this one. The storyline was pretty contrived, which was unexpected since I'd heard that it was so different from all the other movies out there- very predictable too. I wasn't expecting all the violence though. It's too bad the British director and all his buddies keep most if not all the money this movie makes especially considering the 100% Indian cast. Exploitation???

I liked it, I can't say it was the best movie I ever saw but it was a good story. Very powerful, in terms of the conditions that these poor people live in the slums, and a bit of a stretch that all the questions just happened to be about things he had encountered in his life, but it was a good love story and the music and dancing at the end were a fun way to conclude the film.

This is the best movie i have seen in a really long time. where did they get this brilliant actors. from beginning to end from the children to the adults. such natural talent, i have to say some of this actors should be winning awards for this movie. And Freida Pinto, amazing. im really glad to see a movie that i didn't walk out and say, "such bad acting" and thats from seasoned hollywood movies. am going to see this movie agian and agian and then all buy it for me and a friend! Excellent in every aspect of filmmaking. I thoroughly enjoyed this film and will recommend it to all my friends. The acting by the children is excellent as is the photography and the soundtrack. You get some harsh viewing at the start of the film but it quickly turns into a bonding of three people and finishes as a beautiful romantic journey of which you should be glad you decided to take. Go see it. Well worth your time and money.

I held my breath throughout much of this film and thought about it throughout much of the night after seeing it. It was painful to watch the extreme brutality against children and to actually see how horrible living conditions remain for some people in the world. However, the filmmakers did an excellent job of keeping the action moving. You were subjected to the rough parts, but not forced to endure it for very long. Excellent acting, music, directing, costumes...it was all good!

I saw most of the Oscar nominated movies this year and Slumdog was the best of the whole lot. I loved Milk and Doubt as well but they did not compare to Slumdog. I left the theatre elated with the ending and so thrilled that I had seen in at a theatre and not as a rental. You NEED to experience this movie on the big screen - it is truly amazing. The acting, the music, the cinematography are crazy good. Not to be missed and worth all of the hype.

Offered us a peek into life in India. Amazing movie. My only problem was the Indian woman sitting next to me whispering the answeres to all the questions the host of Who Wants to be a Millionaire was asking.

One of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I plan on seeing it again with my 14 yr. old son. I think it has a very relevant message for young people and I think it deserved every Oscar it won!
