For followers of Toy Story since the start, this is a moving end-of-an-era film, as Andy says goodbye to his childhood through his dear toys. The scenes with his toys are the most touching, and the toy characters are as witty and funny as ever. I would say the end has some moments that are quite dark, I mean, was it really necessary to have us watch in horror as Woody and Buzz face imminent incineration at the landfill? Other than that, a wonderful movie...Pixar at its best!

Everyone in my family really enjoyed this movie, from my 4 year old daughter to my 74 year old mother. Funny, with very touching moments, and had humorous bits only adults would understand, but nothing inappropriate. There were many cinematic references to the classic prison breakout movies that were really amusing. The 3D wasn't really necessary to fully enjoy this movie, but I think the Pixar animation lends itself to that effect.

Toy story 3. Wow. After being gone for nearly ten years toy story exploded back onto the scene with the last installment of the trilogy. Aimed at children 5-9, the movie had a larger impact on people 13-18 as it brought back their childhood. Of course young children still enjoyed it, but teens especially because it was once the movie that really defined their childhood. Toy story 3 rarely had a moment where one was bored or found themselves dissatisfied but we are left to wonder, was disney planning a 3rd toy story 10 years in advance? as there were many tips to the 3rd movie in the 2nd movie. I give this movie a 5 out of 5 because it remained true to the toy story guidelines, was very cute and amusing, and evolved with the times as disney involved 3d effects seamlessly to help ordain the features of the greatest animated film of all time. They did not abuse the 3d effects as many animated movies do these days and the plot was simple, because it is made for children, yet intriguing and a wise way to sum up the greatest animated trilogy ever that will ever be made.

Another great film by Pixar! One for all ages to see. The 3D was a little disappointing, I was hoping they'd use the 3D a bit more and have things come out at you. 3D is a great way to watch a movie, but I think it's more enjoyable when you get surprised by things coming out at you. The animation was spectacular, story line was good and as always with Pixar you have to watch for the little things that they sneak in there.

Sequels can sometimes be lackluster, but Toy Story 3 was outstanding. We saw it in 3D which added to the experience. Nostalgic for parents and captivating for children. There were a few scenes that were somewhat dark and scary -- probably not great for children under 5 or 6. The underlying theme was caring for others.

This was a really nice movie. My almost 4 year old loved it, but I thought one scene was a bit much for the young ages. He was fine, but I think a more sensitive child might have been scared. My 7 year old boy liked it too. Parents will be entertained.

Touching and funny, the 3D subtle and interesting enough to merit wearing those stupid glasses over my glasses. It was not just an entertainment, but a satisfying reminder that it is possible to deal with actual feelings in a movie, neither cynical nor sentimental, just real. Highly recommended.

the story line and presentation was excellent, better than previous Toy Story movies, highly recommend this to the whole family.
Best thing I can say about the 3D version is that was so-so. would call it "3D-Lite", many scenes could be veiwed without the 3D glasses, IMO not worth the additional cost.

Three adults took our five kids age ranging from 4 to 10 and everyone enjoyed the movie. My girlfriend just posted "HIGHLY recommend Toy Story 3" on her face book and our neighbor who brought his 8 year old son who was seeing the movie for the second time and loved it. It was a little scary at the end for the 4 year old and the 6 year old was a little frighted by the evil purple bear (who smells like strawberries - LOL). 5 starts for it being good for the whole family - but for the adults call it 4 starts. There was no "Shrek like" humor for us :-)

Parts of it were absolutely laugh out loud hysterical, like the graphics for Mr. "Tortilla" Head !!!! Small bits that you can only catch in a couple of seconds, like the "roullette" wheel!!! Pixar folks are creative beyond the level of genius! And parts had me fighting back tears..... It was a wonderful plot. 3D effects were not as "jump out at you" as "Up" from last year, but I can't say that it took away from the enjoyment of the film.

Toy Story 3 has a little something for everyone's tastes. Drama, Suspense, Romance, Comedy, Action, and just, just a HINT of mild horror. Who would ask for more than that? This third installment was as good, if not better, than the first two. They kept true to the characters and their voices, and wrapped up the story quite nicely. I would definitely recommend this for any Toy Story or Pixar fan!!!

The whole family loved the movie from my 4 yr old up to Grandma! Thanks to lots of rain, I've seen both the 2-D and 3-D version. 2-D is good enough for this film. The animation is awesome and doesn't need the 3-D effects.

trouble seeing with glasses over my own glasses. Most grandparents take the grandkids and have to wear their own glasses. I wish the movie had also been offered without 3D.

This was another great Toy Story movie! Lots of action to keep everyone engaged. The toys were in peril a good bit and that upset my almost 5 year old daughter to the point we left for a few minutes. She is sensitive to this type of thing right now, so your mileage may vary. Enjoy!

Cute movie -- good for whole family. 3D is complete waste of time -- just makes the screen blurry and there was nothing special about it. Watch it in 2D if possible since 3D just makes the ticket more expensive!
