Was definitely a blending of TS1 and TS2 but with a hopeful ending and a little dark in the middle, be careful if your kids are younger and have seen TS1+2 because it does get a little emotional! But well written and well done with typical visuals that Pixar can do like no other. 3D was unnecessary!
Go see it, stay cool and munch the popcorn!

My kids and I loved this movie. We were all fans of the first two and were excited to see the latest installment. The story line was good, even if predictable at times. The animation is top-notch and the winks at adult humor were better than ever. There is no reason not to see this movie. That said, I was disappointed in the 3-D aspect. Although it gave good depth perception, the effect added nothing to the experience of the movie. Anyone considering this show should not limit theselves to the 3-D experience if tickets are hard to come by. We'll probably see the movie again, but won't bother with the 3-D upcharge.

Excellent movie. Again as a sequel it lives up to the others before and the ending has a wonderful touch.

This is the movie of the summer. It was refreshing to watch a movie with my 4 yr old and 14 yr old grandkids that I didn't have to explain to the 4 yr old what was happening and didn't hear sighs coming from my 14 yr old. Take a tissue and wear water proof mascara!

Great storyline and I love all the "old" toys I can relate to. This movie is just as exciting for adults because it brings back childhood memories of favorite toys - even teaches children the importance of treating their toys gently, as if they were "friends." The actors put so much character into their "parts."
Only disappoint was paying considerably extra money for the tru 3D (which we usually love) and then being disappointed in the lack of effects - even the kids commented on this and didn't think they needed the glasses half the time. I could have saved almost $20 at this Marcus theater by seeing the 2D version.

My 3 year old said it was awesome!! He watched the whole movie and did't move for almost 2 hours. Which felt like 30 minutes! What a great movie. Moms bring kleenex. The fact that the first Toy Story came out in 95'. The 3 year olds that watched it then are really going to college this year. It made me hug my little guy even tighter and enjoy watching him play with his Buzz and Woody even more :)

Flashback 1995; I'm the parent of a 3 year old and one still yet to come. Toy Story comes out and I am blown away thinking Disney/Pixar has invigorated animation in time for my daughter to enjoy several years of movie making genius. I was proved right. Now in 2010 that three year old is now on her way to college and I have another who is in her last year of middle school. The whole family is back again to nostalgically look back at our favorite "you've got friends in me." And folks, Toy Story 3 just does NOT disappoint. On so many levels this latest Lasseter incarnation is so rich and full of heart without being schlocky that you can't help but be moved by the whole gang. New characters are introduced, action sequences are skilfully placed to move plot, and full on belly laughs ensue not because of pop culture references (that missed the mark in Shrek sequels), but because of great character development. You know this band of toys so well that it's like laughing at/with family in their quirkiness. The movie ends with a satisfying and heartwarming close on a group of animated friends that have helped our children grow up learning that friendship, loyalty and love are the bulwark of all good and true relationships. Thanks Pixar for several years of a great franchise and can't wait to show this great trio of movies to grandchildren (in a few years time).

Perhaps the favorite franchise for kids in our house, Toy Story & Toy Story 2 have been featured on our TVs hundreds and hundreds of times over the years. We we're excited to catch the 3D, re-release, double feature earlier this year, designed to build some anticipation for the release of TS3, and my son and I were not disappointed. The soldiers repelling down the jump-rope from the second floor was enough to "sell" us on the re-do... It was a good time, fresh, and fun all over again.
Fast forward to today: Toy Story 3 is perfect! Old friends are better than ever, new characters are amazing, and the animation is so great. The 3D effects are subtle most of the time, which served to ad depth to the TS world rather than become a sideshow to the story. Great story-line, excellent production values, touching moments adults will cherish, and lots of love within the the toy's world as well as Andy, Molly, and Mom.
My family LOVED it!

Probably not as good as the first two. That being said its very close behind and that itself makes it better than most other movies. The writers do such a great job of capturing what toys are really like and thats what has made these movies so great. Also a very fitting ending puts the cap on one of the best movie trilogies ever.

I hadn't seen many previews or clips of the movie before going to see it so I didn't really know what to expect, but I have to say WOW!!! This movie was incredible! The story was hilarious, touching, scary, creepy, sad, awesome, and suspenseful! There are a host of new characters in this one, but it never gets overwhelming. Somehow they made it so that each of the dozens of characters has a personality that comes across well. The 3D aspect worked, though I don't think seeing regular will detract anything. They really outdid themselves with this one. There wasn't a minute throughout that I didn't want this movie to keep going forever! Please, GO SEE IT!

It's a third movie so you hope that it's as good as the first two. This one blew me away, it was FANTASTIC! Not only does the 3-D add a new dimension to the movie but the movie actually has a story that keeps you glued to the screen.

If you've been on this journey since your child was small. If he loved "oody" and "buzz" at two and you watched it so many times that you could say every single word by heart. Then BRING TISSUES WITH YOU! Sobbing is not optional through the beginning and pretty much all of the end. It was beautifully done and a very nice "ending" for the Toys, but holy smokes its emotional. If you have high school seniors, or students starting college then DO NOT go to this movie as you will come out as such an emotional wreck your mascara will be running like Niagara Falls. As usual Pixar does not disappoint. I need to borrow

It is, as always, a wonderful story and this one is particularly sweet and nostalgic. I saw it in 3-D and frankly I didn't feel they took advantage of this mode of entertainment to anywhere near the extent that they could have or should have. It can just as easily be seen in regular format and none of the enjoyment is lost. A lovely movie nonetheless. By all means see it and bring the family!

This movie is one of the best I have seen this year! My children and I loved it. From the very beginning of the movie to the very end where I got a tear in my eye it was very moving and fun. Children of all ages should enjoy Toy Story 3, especially the adults. We saw it in 3D, we did not need to waist any money on seeing it in the IMax 3D mode. 3D was just as enjoyable and even 2D would be just fine to see this movie in.

Loved the movie. The whole concept of toys protecting each other and having such heart but this movie has a dark side that didn't have to be that dark. I felt it was unnecessary with the scarey girl doll and the bad dolls taking away from the intended heart of the movie. It also may have been the theater but I don't think the 3D effects were engaged to their maximum potential.
