This was definitely a great way to end the historic Toy Story "dynasty". As a young man heading off to college, I grew up with Andy from his young innocence in Toy Story to his college-ready self in Toy Story 3. This movie was even more special for me in this sense. The movie was fantastic. It had great humor and a first-class line of characters, with the classics of Woody and Buzz and new-comers such as Lotso the Bear and Ken. The movie had comedy and action, happiness and sorrow. Beware of the latter. There are points in the movie that are very serious and may be harder for young ones to understand. Overall, the movie can be added to Disney's list of classics for me. I would see it again and again.

Full of fun and joy, for every girl and boy! (And the parents!)
The story is great: Full of emotion, charm, suspenseful twists and wit. The characters, and their motivations, are well thought-out. The series could not have ended any better.
I saw it in 3D, but you don't really need to. I am sure the movie works almost equally as well in 2D.
The opening Pixar short, Day & Night, was massively creative, to say the least.

As someone who was a kid when the first Toy Story came out and grew up with it, I thought Toy Story 3 was absolutely perfect! I cannot think of any way I would have preferred the series to end. I was bawling by the end! I would not have changed a thing. Anyone who has seen the first two MUST see this movie. It was superb!

We really enjoyed TS3. It was a great story that had Woody, Buzz and the gang on a new adventure. There were some really funny moments with Ken and Barbie, and very touching moments with the gang that will have most adults in tears.....including my weeping wife. I don't know what other fathers asked for when their families asked them what they wanted for Father's Day...and though I received my "gift" a day early, I asked that we go see TS3 in 3D!
The movie does a great job to contend with the span of years since TS2.
There will be no spoilers here, the one hint that I will offer is that my kids laughed the most regarding the various scenes involving "dancing"...and I was laughing right along with them!
There was a nice blend of "introducing" new toys and new characters w/o overburdening the movie with too much of that.
I can only wish for a sequel to the Incredibles to come very quickly! That's what I want for my next Father's Day gift ! :-)

Didn't we all have a favorite toy? Or bunches that took us into an imaginary world of tea partys, dress up and wild adventure? This movie made me remember. I actually felt sorry for the toys I have boxed up. It was a touching tribute to more that just toys, but to friendship and the basic form of how it takes all to make the world go round. We went as a family for Fathers Day because we all loved the oiginal Toy Story. We were sadly disappointed with the movie in it's entirety. We were in a fairly packed theater and only at one point did you hear the room laugh out loud, that was when Buzz Light Year began speaking in French/Spanish. There was a large group of younger children in the row in front of us and to our right and I don't think they giggled once. Sorry..... but don't get your hopes up, then maybe it will actually be than you thought.

When a movie comes out that is good as the TS series, you often wonder if quality and content will just continue to go down, before you know it the movie is direct to dvd.
TS3 I am happy to say is no where near that most always status.
It was full of fun, yes you needed tissues but that is what made the movie touch our very child like souls. The new added toys were perfect. The references they made to past movies made the story carry on so well.

Toy Story 3 was absolutely wonderful! HOWEVER, if 1. you have a son/daughter who was into Toy Story big-time when they were little and 2. if they are ANYWHERE near graduation age (even as young as upcoming HS Sophomores) and 3. if you can be rediculously emotional when thinking of them leaving home--------Take tissues! Boxes of tissues!!!! The short movie ( that preceeds all Pixar films) is a masterpiece! My favorite hands down!

I just took my 2 girls and little sister to see this movie In 3D last night..and I was Amazed to say the least. It is rare to find a 2nd or 3rd movie in a series to be so good. And it was Great. The 3D was Great..The story line was awesome..A tear or two..and full of laughs. If you havent seen it GO SEE IT TONIGHT and in 3d for sure!!

This movie was sooooooo awesome! I saw it in 3d and it was 3d the WHOLE time; including the pre-movie advertisements. It was sooooo funny! Adults and children were laughing out loud! I highly recommend this movie. In fact....I believe we're going to go see it again!
