To start off with, I do not recommend this movie for children under age 13. There are adult themes and the bad guys do bad things. That aside there are few negative comments that I could make. Heath Ledger's Joker really brings the character to life and is an excellent match for Batman. The acting is excellent across the board and the effects are awesome. I saw the Imax version and I recommend it but I'm sure it's great no matter where you see it. If you are interested enough in this movie to read a review, then you have no reason not to go see it. Christian Bale continues his excellent portrayal of Batman that really reflects back on the lone hero in the Dark Knight comics. He is complex and conflicted just as he should be. Aaron Eckhart fills the role of Harvey Dent as well as the other actors fill their roles. I really can't point out any bad performances or serious plot faults in the movie without nitpicking. I recommend the movie to anyone of appropriate age to handle the dark themes and violence presented.

I wasn't really interested in seeing this. I went with friends because they couldn't wait for it to come out. I am SO GLAD I went along with them. It's longer than most movies but it was definitely worth it. Unlike some movies, the effects in this were actually believable and did not leave me sitting there thinking “this would never happen”. Some my friends are already making plans to go back and see it again!

Saw the movie in IMAX...drove two hours to get to a theater showing it, and it was worth it in every conceivable way. The visuals are stunning, the acting is impeccable (except perhaps for Maggie Gyllenhal), and the plot is fantastic...if a little drawn-out. I might have made a couple of tweaks in there, but I think the movie stands solid.

This was our first Imax experience and it was great. We thought that all of the starring actors did an excellent job, great casting. The addition of Imax made certains scenes look so real that it was as if we were actually viewing it in real time and space. I cant wait to see more movies like this. Loved the graphics too. This is saying a lot as I never go to Movie theatres when I can enjoy a DVD in the comfort of my home..this experience has definately enticed my curiosity to try this again.

My husband is the biggest comic book fan out there, and he loved this movie. Again Christian Bale was a convincing Bruce Wayne, and even more convincing Batman, and Heath Ledger was amazing. It is too sad that he will not be able to reprise his role, because I thought it was one of the best interpretations of the Joker. I thought he was even better then Nicholson. I am telling everyone I see that this is the next movie everyone should be going to, over and over again.

Yes, everything you've heard is true. The movie's dark, but engrossing. Heath Ledger is amazing, and will win an Academy Award. Aaron Eckhart's work is also quite exceptional, and he's not being talked about enough as a huge asset to this movie. Gary Oldman was also terrific. See it in IMAX for the full experience.

This was the 2nd time seeing this movie for me, and wow was it worth it. The IMAX screen really does this movie justice. And I can't write a review for this movie without mentioning the amazing ability of Heath Ledger. His Joker is outstanding to say the least; absolutely blows Nicholson's out of the water. Sorry Jack, you just weren't as scary. Long live the memory of Heath Ledger!

The Dark Knight did not disappoint. Full of surprises, action, and examples of human morality, this movie had it all!
If I had one thing to complain about in this movie, it would be Maggie Gyllenhaal's worthiness to play Rachel Dawes. It would have been nice to see Katie Holmes return to this role as she was a more believable love interest for Bruce Wayne.
By the round of applause at the end, it made me believe that if Batman exsisted in the real world today, he would change the way we live our lives...with more integrity, morality, and honor.

IronMan was a very good movie yes? Well, after watching The Dark Knight, this movie holds a new ranking all on its own. It has every element of suspense, action, story, & acting you could ever ask for in a movie, and it's a superhero movie so it's more or less an icing on the cake. This was by far the best Batman movie of all the ones made. Heath Ledger was a great Joker. The only downside is that I think they shouldnt have killed off Two Face so quilcky. but oh well they still have more villians to use in the next ones.

The IMAX version of this movie is visually stunning, aurally amazing and exceedingly dark in both tone and visuals. Acting is excellent, with Heath Ledger redefining the Joker completely (Jack Nicholson...who?). If he doesn't receive a posthumous oscar then there's something wrong! Well worth seeing for an entertaining ride, though probably too dark for some.

This was by far the best Batman movie ever filmed. An adult movie, dark and riveting, not a kiddy movie like the older versions. One that I'll watch over and over again.
