I was expecting a good performance out of Ledger. But this one deserves a nomination and a win. (If things don't get so politicized.) The movie was great. Saw it in IMAX. Wished it had been in IMAX all of the way through. The IMAX portions were definitely more alive. (This I believe coming from the larger screen and the film speed on the camera being increased.) I'm wondering how they did that so seamlessly? Must have been done by computer or something.

I was pleasantly surprised. I knew I wanted to see it in Imax, but am always worried that the extra expense won't be worth it - This movie was WAY worth the extra expense - you MUST see it in Imax. Also, after all the negativity surrounding the issue of turning "bad" - I loved how they dealt with the conflict - it was accurate and well done. Great acting, great character builds - Ledger's role is everything they are talking about. Great movie. My only gripe was batman's stupid voice - give me a break - I hope they work on that next time - I kept wanting to give the poor guy a cough drop. But really the voice thing didn't matter - Well Done Batman.

Very good film, probably the best of the year. I recommend seeing this on IMAX, to get the full impact of the action scenes and the sound design. The story is good, the acting is good (Ledger should get Best Actor), the action and special effects are great.

As a non-fan of comic book/superhero movies, this is by far the best comic book/superhero movie I've seen, simply because it doesn't try to be one. Christopher Nolan took the genuine story elements of Batman, and crafted a thrillingly (almost) realistic story about corruption and heroism. No, this is not the best movie of your life, but a damn good movie nonetheless.

The movie was excellent, but I must say that I have some reservations reguarding the voice. While on one hand you have the high pitched squeals coming from the Joker, Christian Bale basically spoke from his colon in order to make such a gutteral sound come from his mouth. I found myself distracted in to no end with the deep voice. I could barely understand what the dialogue was. The action sequences were great, but again anytime Batman spoke, the words were so difficult to make out that I couldn't help but be befuddled.

My wife and I are in the entertainment business and we were both more than entertained by this blockbuster. It was better than the hype; and that's hard to do. It took me awhile to get 2 good IMAX seats, but the wait was worth it. Especially the footage that was shot in the IMAX format! Wow, double wow! I'm looking forward to the next IMAX super-movie.

I found this to be the best Batman movie I've seen to this day. None made have topped the first with Michael Keaton for me until this one and it is genius. I've seen it four times already and the IMAX just made it that much better! I can't wait for more installments if they are this good.

This was an excellent movie. It is long, but just settle in for the experience, it's worth it. At first it seems like it's over half way through, but the ride isn't half begun! IMAX really added to the overall experience, the sections shot with an IMAX camera were just amazing. Talk about an entertaining movie! Never saw anything like it. The effects were Awsome, all of the actors with the possible exception of batmans ex girlfriend were outstanding.Also she just wasn't hot enough for me. Never saw a more oscar worthy performance than Heath Ledgers, he blew jack Nicholsons joker out of the water! I will see this movie again, i will own it when it comes out on DVD.

This movie had it all. The action, the love story the effects and toys. Not to mention the IMAX visuals which created a level of involvement not seen before. Besides a couple of minor foibles that can be overlooked this movie is the best in the last five summers or so. Even an Oscar contender I would say.

IMAX format was fine--our seats vibrated! As for the movie--ehh! Gyllenhall was miscast--she was not attractive or alluring enought to be the apex of the love triangle. Too many characters stuffed in a very thin storyline. I did not buy the basic premise that good and evil are two sides of the same coin. Bale's screentime was disappointingly thin, and his acting not nearly as strong as in Batman Begins. This is partially due to Heath Ledger's job as the Joker--AWESOME! He created the most villainous monster of a human being since Hannibal Lecter. Considering the rave reviews & boffo box-office, this film was very disappointing. The fact that Ledger is dead gave his character a poignancy that the filmmakers could never have intended.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Very well done, Ledger was phenomenal. Jack Nicholson has to be a touch ashamed of his turn in the part after seeing this.
Ledger completely *inhabits* the role of the Joker.
There are certainly weak points (the second villain -- I won't say who -- has a transformation to evil that is not believable at all) , but overall it's an incredibly impressive piece of work for a mainstream summer action movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

What a movie! What a script/story! It was exciting, entertaining and always kept you interested and thinking what is going to happen next?... It was the second time me seeing it but, what an experience seeing it in IMAX!.... It is a total different flavor/experience. The Joker was unbelievable, Two Face was charismatic and the effects were amazing. This is definitely an IMAX MOVIE to see!
