This latest Batman flick was somewhat long. But you will never ever be bored. The movie could have ended in about four places but the last half hour of the movie is definitely worth the suspense. The Joker's character is very dark and rather sick. But this is one of Heath Ledger's best performances by far.

This movie was an excellent film, especially viewed on the IMAX. Not a movie for children, so please heed the PG-13 rating. Ledger, Bale, Oldman all were great in this movie. This was an action movie, with a deep and dark plot with some character development. Not the usual summer action film.

As an avid Batman fan, I went to this movie with very high expectations and a very scrupulous eye and was NOT disappointed. The action was thrilling, the cinematography was excellent, and the story was just brilliant. I don't think I could have asked for a better Batman movie. I never though that anyone could play the Joker as well as Jack Nicholson did all those years ago, but I was truly impressed by Heath Ledger's performance, may he rest in peace. I can't say that he was better, but they were both right on-par with each other. Nicholson's Joker was more laughy and goofy, while Ledger's was a crazed, emo psychopath who loved to cut. There is nothing I would change in this movie. I'm amazingly excited that they switched the dry-toast Katie Holmes with Maggie Gyllenhaal. An amazing Rachel. Every actor, every sequence and every moment was perfect. Well done, and a MUST SEE MOVIE!

This movie really blows all the other batman movies out of the water. My first time seeing a movie at an IMAX theater and I was really impressed. This is by far the only way to watch a hyped up movie. Make sure you get there early to get a good seat.

I guess it's my turn to add to the critical raves regarding THE DARK KNIGHT. Specifically, though, seeing it in an IMAX Theatre brings the rave review to a whole new level. The scenes that were filmed using the IMAX camera system are incredible. It's one of the greatest adaptations of a comic-book ever, but when you see it in IMAX, it really elevates the whole experience to another level. It's definitely worth going out of your way to find an IMAX Theatre to ese THE DARK KNIGHT. I'm looking forward to seeing it again.

This movie was 2.5 hours but didn't seem like it. The action was pretty much constant. There was more violence than any Batman movie I've seen. The Imax obviously made it more tangible while watching it. Heath Ledger was an excellent psychotic Joker. It was good but not worth all the hype that it's been given. I wonder if it has a lot to do with Heath passing away before the movie came out.

Fantastic, but a bit long. Could've shaved off 30 minutes. Batman's voice is hard to understand at times and overdone. Heath Ledger was OUTSTANDING! God bless him. Special effects/cinematography/lighting are WONDERFUL. Love flying over the city! I DEFINITELY would not take a child under probably age 12 or 13.

It is rare that a movie lives up to it's hype, especially the amount of hype this movie has received. The Dark Knight actually exceeds expectations. Thanks in large part to Heath Ledger who envelops the theater when he is on screen, giving probably the most memorable and chilling performance I have experienced at the movies. The rest of the cast does their part to make this the best summer movie if not movie period I have seen at the theater in my life. Christopher Nolan is definitely the most exciting director making movies today.

Wow, Batman in IMAX, what an experience, the cinematography was outstanding! Especially the scene when Batman was standing on the ledge of the Sears Tower I felt like I was flying right next to him. Christian Bale portrays a wonderful Batman, dark but heroic at the same time. Also, what kind of review would this be without mentioning the late Heath Ledger, his presence was all but gone from that movie... no wonder he is getting nods for awards! What a talent, my favorite part dealt with making a pencil disappear. This movie was stunning and full of twists, just when you think you got it all figured out, and IMAX makes the experience more powerful. *applauds* I cannot wait to see another Batman!

Christopher Nolan tops Batman Begins with this one, for sure. But it goes beyond any comic book movie I've seen, personally. It was an action/suspense epic that was like seeing Die Hard for the first time, but it was equal parts crime epic too. It transcends the genre, while keeping very true to the Batman legacy. Anyone who says the movie is too long must just be fidgity. There are so many camera cuts and plot arcs that this film feels tightly compressed into it's 2 and a half hour mark. It uses every second of on-screen time wisely, and I wouldn't cut out a single scene. I'm anxious to see it again.

This is definitely a film you'll want to watch at an IMAX theatre. The stereo sound was amazing! I know gas is expensive, but I saw this for the second time yesterday; and it was much better to see it extra large and with the correct sound mix. Some movies just don't sound right unless you see them at a big theatre; and "The Dark Knight" is one of them. My only complaint, and this is a picky one, is that there was some sort of dirt or belly button lint that was magnified to the size of a beach ball that slowly scuttled across the screen. Not a big enough deal to keep me from seeing this movie again and again though.

I went to the IMAX theater expecting something extra, after all it came at an extra price. I was disappointed though because I couldn't tell I was watching an IMAX film at all. Unless there is a 3D option, I say just save your money and stick with the regular experience. As far as the movie goes, I've always loved Batman beyond all comic book heroes because he is an ordinary man with only the special power of money and discipline to his name. I feel that that gives more that having a special power. The actors were great. Bale is handsome as ever and really gives the character suave, even though I still don't know how he gets his voice to sound like that. Ledger was unrecognizable as the joker, it was that much of a transformation. He looked and sounded so different. As a villain though, he didn't seem that intimidating to me though. I am also use to seeing Batman wrestle with multiple plots and villains, which has not really been occuring with these recent additions. I would like to see anothe Batman come out, but I sure hope they use a different villain then the ones already used in the other movies. The technology was extremely impressive and futuristic. I am of course envious of the money and power batman weilds. I felt that the ending was a bit anti-climatic and felt that it could have been handled differently.

Batman IMAX exceeded my expectations. I expected the usual "cartoony" feel to the movie. This one came to life for me. Heath Ledger's untimely death did play a small role in my wanting to see the movie upon it's release. I usually wait a couple of weeks. However, that does not overshadow that fact that for me he is the best Joker yet. Darker perhaps, but the best. I'll purchase this one when the DVD comes out. Something I rarely do.

While mostly okay, didn't live up to the hype. I thought the first installment was much better. It really lost me with the improbable bonus "Bat-technology" that kept popping up (like he really carries a micro -sawz-all in his belt!). I was squirming after 90 minutes, and I'm a huge genre fan. IMAX was a plus, but what really got me was the trailer for "the Watchmen"!

Oh Yea, from the opening sequence I knew I was in for a ride I soon will not forget. If, you go see just one movie this year, make it this one! In IMAX! "Heath Ledger"...I need not say anymore.

Visually stunning. I am glad I saw it on the IMAX, the aerial shots over the big cities made me feel like I was in a chopper filming it myself. I can't wait for it to come out on Blu-Ray!! Gary Oldman's performance was outstanding and will go overlooked because of how good Ledger and Bale were (Ledger was every bit as good as Bardem was in 'No Country For Old Men'). I got home and wanted to go right back and watch it again--maybe I will this weekend (I don't think I've thought that since Forrest Gump). You feel like you are a part of Gotham and don't want to leave. You will not be disappointed. Has become my favorite movie (not just comic book movie) ever.

First off whats up with the Mayor and his eyeliner? I thought that was creepier than the Joker. It was an action packed 2.5 hours and the time flew, but it lacked suspense. How about a plot twist or two? A good movie, but very predictable.

To put it lightly Heath Ledgers performance in this movie is the most impressive acting of any movie of my lifetime a mere 21 years. But I cannot think of a better acted role in 2 decades. Also i can't help but cry when an actor dies even before his truly "epic" performance was released into theatres. Heath will never know what an impact he will have on acting in the future.
My only major gripe for this movie which isn't anything that major was the complete lack of the rebuilding of Wayne Manor. As mention at the end of Batman Begins. I mean seriously when you think of where Batman lives it isn't in a Penthouse in downtown Gotham. It's Wayne Manor and the Batcave people. I truly hope that they spend a good deal of time on the next movie rebuilding Wayne Manor and showing us Christopher Nolan's Batcave.
This movie was nothing short of 152 minutes of pure action. I loved every minute from beginning to end.
