Heath Ledger steals the show!! I never thought I'd see a better JOKER than Jack Nicholson- but this blows him away!! He should be nominated and (maybe) win Best Supporting Actor. Behind the Scenes- Christopher Nolan makes a masterpiece, he takes the Batman theme and creates a great STORY, with multiple plot lines and twists and surprises and real characters. This movie builds on and surpasses Batman Begins. As expected, ACTION sequences are very good too. But the story and Ledger's MENACING portrayal of a psychopathic, sociopathic JOKER make this a CANNOT miss 5 star gem.

Hollywood finally remembered that epic movies need a long run time. As a result, viewers will truly feel that they have seen a significant event. While I do wish that the backgrounds and motivations behind Christian Bale's and Aaron Eckhart's characters choice could have been better explored, I am still happy with the movie.

The special effects, sound/music, and Ledger's acting made this a great-fun experience. Ledger is the "Best Joker" yet, and I'm a big Nicholson fan. Ledger definitely took the Joker to a new level. Ledger should be nominated for an Oscar. Not becase he's dead, but because he was obviously very good at his art.

This is by far the best movie made about a comic book character yet!!! It took me back to the days of my youth when I would read the original comic book. All of the actors performances were excellent but Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker was haunting and almost too realistic. The Academy Awards should definitely honor his memory for one of the best performances by any actor in all time!

This movie brought the Batman series to a new level by focusing on multiple key characters without Batman taking up the screen. I highly recommend seeing TDN in IMAX after seeing it in a standard format theater. I was blown away on how Awesome this movie really is. The scenes that where shot in IMAX where astonishing and this movie was cut amazinginly. This film had several scenes that where shot with an IMAX film camera, which means that the film had to change from the IMAX veiwing to its regular widescreen size. This film had to be cut to allow for the viewers not to be distracted by this transition and I believe that they perfected this. I was never distracted or pulled away from the move by the change. In finishing, I was afraid I was going to be disappointed with the IMAX showing but I was blown away. So enjoy and please see this movie a second time, you won't regret it.

Seeing this movie in IMAX was amazing! We sat about halfway down the screen, it felt realistic when viewing the city from above. A co-worker saw this movie on a regular screen and then on IMAX. He said IMAX was so much better. Heath Ledger was fantastic as the joker. Definitely deserves an Oscar nomination. I would be willing to see it again, and probably will.

The movie was long enough to actually give you a better insight into the characters in the movie. The Joker was excellently played by Heath Ledger. The IMAX experience only enhanced the movie's sound effects and the screen gave a much better visual than a regular movie screen.

Watched the DARK KNIGHT at AMC 30 Deer Valley. The movie was fantastic! Heath Ledger played the Joker extremely well. And the appearences of other villans was unexpected. There were many twists and turns throughout the movie and that made it very entertaining. I look forward to the next Batman movie and purchasing the DVD for this one as well.

IMAX is the only way to see a film. I hate going to movies these days. I saw the Dark Knight in a reg theater first. My seat was kicked constantly, children were crying, cell phone use was everywhere, and the folks next to me couldn't be bothered to shut up! Go back to JERSEY! IMAX is the only venue to see a movie! Saw DK for the first time in an IMAX theater. The best part of this movie in IMAX was the panoramic - WAY panoramic - view of the city from sky level down in IMAX view. Almost dizzying. I recommend seeing it first in a regular theater because the close-up faces (like Joker's) was really lost on IMAX. You're too busy processing this larger than life view and maybe missing out on the actual dialog. But for 2nd time through, IMAX would be a real treat. Good strong movie by the way.

I had high expectations for this one and it delivered. Heath Ledger's performance was amazing. The action sequences were great on the IMAX big screen. It was well worth the extra $ to see it huge. It's a long film but keeps you engaged the entire time. The directing adds to the chaos. Be prepared for a wild ride.

simply put... it is a huge testment to this film that after two and a half hours, you're still wanting more. you never get bored and you're always excited for what's next. and it's mind blowing in IMAX. from the joker's menacing face filling up the entire screen to vast cityscapes of gotham, IMAX lets you see the dark knight in a whole new way. i would see it again and again... and again.

Movie was not that action packed, slow, and although I like long movies, I couldn't wait for it to get over. My 11 year old son was very excited to see it, but left dissappointed.
