Director Chris Nolan has graduated from ferocious auteur to become one of Hollywood's elite directors, on a par with Jackson and Spielberg. He has consistently shown a superior talent for narrative, but with his latest release he bundles that with technical excellence and innovation, blood quickening action and brilliant character development. (Having a cast of some of the best actors on the planet doesn't hurt either.) This isn't the best Batman movie I have ever seen, this isn't the best superhero movie I've ever seen, this is simply one of the best movies I have ever seen. I am breathlessly awaiting whatever project he tackles next.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
