Heath Ledger will undoubtedly win an oscar for this performance. He deserves it - absolutely. It is unfortunate however, that many will consider the accolade as sentimental, not earned. This couldn't be further from the truth. I can't think of a character in any movie at any time that was so well portrayed as this character, by this actor.

Dark Night showed the darkest side of both the joker and the bat without gore, blood or any excess. The plot (although a bit long) is complex enough to keep you guessing and on the edge until the end which leaves you saying..."Yep they set up for sequals". A little oddity is the way two face is portraid is medically impossible but hey it's hollywood. Just hope Freeman and Cain can still put out when they do the next film. Both looked a little long in the tooth.

This was a fun movie to watch for about 90 minutes. Unfortunately, it goes on for another hour. All the performances were solid all around. It was great casting. And the IMAX was brilliant to watch, but I have to dock the movie a star for pointless scenes that just went on and on.

awesome movie, saw it first on a regular screen and then the channelside IMAX experience, just unbelievable on imax, I will see it at least 1 more time on the imax experience. I was confused as to why IMAX is such a big deal. It seemed like it was just a bigger screen than a regular movie theatre screen. I paid more per ticket PLUS I drove 2.5 hours just so I could see it at IMAX~~~I felt silly for doing so. As far as the movie goes, again, I am confused as to why it is such a big deal. Also, does anyone else think that when Batman has on his suit and his voice changes, he sounds like Jim Carrey in THE CABLE GUY??????

Superb performances all around. The storytelling is everything it needs to be and then some. The dramatic properties, enhanced by the luminous score, are nothing short of what you'd find in an oscar-hunting winter holiday film. The action is exciting, but the real treat is in the dynamic between the characters. It doesn't suffer the minor setbacks of Batman Begins, and improves upon this interpretive world in the characters of the Batman mythos. With "Heat" a noticeable influence, it has its hands full of twists and turns that never feel like 'Holy Crap' moments you'd find in a primetime television series. Though, when they happen it feels natural and the film does not suffer from their understated but prominent place in the plot. It lives up to the hype, but I never gave it much to begin with to avoid ridiculous expectations. Even if I had, I doubt I'd be disappointed.

Outstanding IMAX experience, but frankly I was expecting a much sharper picture in the IMAX format. The sections actually filmed in IMAX were noticable sharper, the rest of the film was like watching standard definition TV blown up to giant size. But great movie, great effects. A little cleaner plot line, and better development of the evil characters (aside from Joker which was done very well) would have made the movie even better. Excellent ,excellent interpretation on the Joker, a big loss to the Hollywood community.

Wow, it was amazing, from the sound, to the graphics, to the large beautiful screen, to the comfortable seats... it was a great overall experience. My girlfriend couldn't stop smiling! As far as the movie action & storylines, it was the perfect length for me, it was filled with action, and the story was easy to follow. The ending could have been longer, I wish it would have kept going, I would of been in there all night! Must see in IMAX!
