I saw this at an IMAX theater and it was incredible. I felt like I was standing on the edge of the buildings with Batman. Initially I was concerned over all the hype about Keith Ledger and his acting. I have always liked him as an actor but maybe all this praise was sympathy. However, I found his acting in this movie to be chilling, hypnotizing and beyond what I expected. It was an amazing performance that kept you on the edge of your seat. I wish he had been in more of the movie. Excellent, excellent move!

It's really a huge difference when seeing the IMAX shot scenes in IMAX - everything is suddenly crystal clear and very detailed. My only gripe is that they didn't shoot the entire movie that way!

First of all The Dark Knight is the best "Batman" movie ever made! I enjoyed Batman Begins but this movie makes that one seem insignificant. The movie flowed perfectly and there was not one moment during the two and a half hours that I needed to shift in my seat or wonder how much longer this movie was going to be. As for the IMAX Experience, from now on I will see all action movies that are offered in IMAX. It is the best way to enjoy these kinds of movies. You really feel like you are a part of the film and not once did I feel any type of motion sickness.

My husband and I were both disappointed with this movie. He works in the graphic novel industry and had been eagerly anticipating its release. It was just overdone. Too much of everything. The voice was too much, the batman suit was not great, the violence was over the top and the catastrophies The Joker wrought were too many to count. Could have cut out several of his attacks and it would have been more effective. Still glad I saw it, but would definitely not see it again.

Everyone knows this film's great, so I will only add that the application of IMAX to this movie seems part of the project's overall commitment to excellence: live shots that must have tied Chicago in knots; live stunts that will be remembered the way the freeway sequence in "Matrix:Reloaded" entered fable; an eerie soundtrack by two(!) award winning composers that uses a tonal signature the way HItchcock used violins and Spielberg immortalized "da-dum-da-dum." Since everything else got the platinum treatment, why NOT shoot in IMAX? Why see it? 12,000 watts of score that you feel in your chest from speakers just behind the screen. Six scenes, including every city shot in Chicago and Hong Kong, shot in glorious floor-to-ceiling IMAX, including the police chase/truck flip and joker's destruction of Gotham General. The transitions from IMAX to 70mm are noticeable at first, and they would be annoying with a lesser film, but one quickly falls into the fable and stops noticing after 5 minutes. I've seen this movie in both formats; regular is good, but the IMAX is breathtaking. Batman now rules large-format film.

"The Dark Knight" is an action packed thrill ride from start to finish! The movie was great in the regular theaters but seeing it for the second time on the IMAX screen is a whole new experience that everyone should witness! Believe me...you will leave speechless!

First of all I saw the Dark Knight opening weekend on the conventional screen.
The film is outstanding. This past Friday I saw it in IMAX and the I felt like I was on the streets of Gotham being terrorized by the Joker.
I went from viewer to participant thats how profound the difference was.

The sound was great, you could actually feel it while watching the movie. Graphics were awesome. Some shots you can see yourself moving and swaying with the movement of the characters. I saw the movie both ways and IMAX just blows everthing else away.
