The story, the animation, the tear jerker ending - all combined to make the best Toy Story movie ever! Really a great way to end the series! Any age group will love these characters and relate to the story, especially the ending. Pixar truly out did itself for this one!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not only is the animation absolutely gorgeous, but the characters and plot are engaging and well thought out. The film immerses you forn the 1st scene and keeps you involved until the last moment. Both my husband and I as well as our 10 year old son truly enjoyed every moment.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Disappointed

#1: It's NOT in IMAX 3D; only the first 15 minutes (counting the title) are 3D. Taking off the glasses made the rest of the movie look inferior, and I kept wondering when I would get to put my glasses back on.
#2: not the best Potter movie. Better to reread the book and hope they don't screw up Deathly Hallows.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

BOLT is a blast!

My family saw "Bolt" last night in sneak preview and my wife and son literally laughed themselves home after.
The first thing you notice is the gorgeous animation. There's a soft edge to everything, rendering a sense of classic nostalgia to the different landscapes. Next, you meet Bolt and Penny for the first time and get treated to a classic scene of Disney warmth. At this point you think, "OK, another warm fuzzy Disney movie." Then the screen goes black and you're launched into the world of "Bolt" the TV series....
I'm not saying any more, except that this film will exceed your expectations on all fronts.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

DK pushes IMAX to next level

Everyone knows this film's great, so I will only add that the application of IMAX to this movie seems part of the project's overall commitment to excellence: live shots that must have tied Chicago in knots; live stunts that will be remembered the way the freeway sequence in "Matrix:Reloaded" entered fable; an eerie soundtrack by two(!) award winning composers that uses a tonal signature the way HItchcock used violins and Spielberg immortalized "da-dum-da-dum." Since everything else got the platinum treatment, why NOT shoot in IMAX?
Why see it? 12,000 watts of score that you feel in your chest from speakers just behind the screen. Six scenes, including every city shot in Chicago and Hong Kong, shot in glorious floor-to-ceiling IMAX, including the police chase/truck flip and joker's destruction of Gotham General. The transitions from IMAX to 70mm are noticeable at first, and they would be annoying with a lesser film, but one quickly falls into the fable and stops noticing after 5 minutes.
I've seen this movie in both formats; regular is good, but the IMAX is breathtaking. Batman now rules large-format film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
