I took my daughter to this movie having no expectations, just going because she was dying to see it! And what I got was a great movie that I was into as much as she was. The love story was endearing, the vampire scenes kept you on the edge of your seat and the scenery was beautiful. I walked out of the theater thinking I would actually go see that movie again. What is also nice about it...is that it is a chick flick but a man would not be totally bored with it...it is not overly mushy and it has some good fight scenes, it would make a nice date movie!!!

I utterly adored the Twilight books, but the movie was horrible! It couldn't hold a candle to the series. The actors had no idea what they were doing and couldn't fully portray the characters. The love between Bella and Edward doesn't seem real. Many of the scenes in the book are either missing or completely distorted. You don't get to see the rest of the Cullen family enough, so they are obscure. Even if I put aside the fact that it was meant to show the story of Edward and Bella, it was still a disaster. Many of the scenes made no sense, and I don't see how anyone who didn't read the books could fully grasp the story and the love between the two. But if you haven't read the books, go out and buy them today!!!!!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

There were parts of this movie that took my breath away and there were parts that I wanted more because I'd read the books. The special effects were awesome and the characters were perfect. I was a little unsure of some of the people they picked but once I saw them in the roles I was very happy. If you read the books you might leave the theater feeling like you missed out on something but for people who haven't read them, its perfect. Overall a good movie!

Being an avid fan of the Twilight series, the movie was not a disappointment to me. Another teacher and I took our Twilight Book Club to the moview and each member gave it positive reviews. Overall we felt the actor who played Edward was not handsome enough, but viewed through the eyes of the actress who played Bella, he was god like worthy. However, we are ready to start a team James. Anyone who has read the books or delighted in tales of the star crossed lovers will salivate at this movie. Beautiful scenery too.

I read the entire series and the leaked book online. It was very interesting to see how the characters were portrayed on film and knowing what they were "thinking". It did seem a bit rushed, they fell in love and events came too quickly, but of course, they can't fit the entire book in 2 hours of film. The book is always better, stlll worth the watch and I can't wait for the next one! Robert Pattinson as Edward, great eye candy too ;)

Twilght is fantastic at capturing the emotion of first love, true love, and the danger that threatens that love. Now ramp that up by throwing the world of vampires into the mix and you have even more intensity. I knew it wouldn't have sex yet was impressed by the eroticism of the not-sex scenes. Great job by everyone--from director to actors. Not one boring minute.

I loved the books but the movie left me a little deflated. I thought the movie was lacking in character development. I would have preferred less of James' trio and more of Edward and Bella's courtship. Instead of the tree climbing I would have liked for Edward to tell Bella Carlisle's story. Edward's reaction to the sun was supposed be brilliant instead it looked like a skin condition. I hate being critical but I was hoping for a lot more especially with the kind of special effects we are capable of in this day and age. I did like Jacob and I am looking forward to the second movie. I liked the characters I just wanted to leave the movie loving them.

all of the actors bring their character to life apart from kristen stewart i think they could of picked a better actress to play bella . on the other hand Robert Pattinson did such a great job as edward there is not another person who could of done what he did . i think it could of afforded to be longer and not cut out the parts it did and should of kept to Edwards medow thing to but over all it was a good movie and worth seeing !

twilight was absolutely amazing!!!! i have seen it twice so far and probably like ten more times. the story line basically is close to the book, and it was way more funny than i had anticipated... it was full of suspense and romance. BEST MOVIE EVERRR!

I read and loved this series, as did my mom, brother, and most of my friends. I went to see it opening night, and tried not to be overexcited. Most of the minor characters were cast beautifully, but I was disappointed by the acting by Kristen Stewart. She seemed angry, and she twitched. What made me the saddest was that they cut several major scenes from the book and instead replaced them with scenes of their own. For some reason, even the book's humorous scenes were delivered by all as being extremely melodramatic, and nearly everything was hilariously overacted. If you read the books, don't expect too much. If you haven't read them, watch the movie, then go and read the books.

Twilight was all that I expected. The cast was very well chosen. The plot of Twilight, in some ways, did follow the book. The plot was very good itself and it kept the whole audience on the edges of their seats wondering what would come next. There were sometimes when the acting got over exaggerated but it did redeem itself. This movie is definitely worth seeing.

This was an OK movie overall … not the best but a nice way to spend an afternoon. The movie was a little rushed and some of the best scenes from the book were omitted. I went in with little expectation since books turned into movies are typically disappointing and was not surprised. Bella’s not as clumsy as she is in the books and her acting was a little off at times. Edward IS my favorite character from the book and I thought that Pattinson did an Okay job. At times he didn’t make me believe the turmoil that was going on in his head. Although this could result from the romance between him and Bella being rushed not necessarily Patterson’s acting ability. Team Edward all the way!!

I went knowig this movie was going to be somewhat different from the book. If they wanted to make it just like the book it would be one long voice over.
At first I wasn't sure about Rob Pattinson playing Edward, but I think he did a wonderful job. You could see the agony he was going through, by being arond Bella.
I do wish they had included more of the biology classes though.

I really enjoyed Twilight. I attended with my husband and daughter and we all really enjoyed the movie. The chemistry between Edward and Bella was great. It was a very exciting teen romance. I will recommend this movie to all of my family and friends. Truly enjoyed it.

The movie was WONDERFUL! They pulled all the most important elements from the book and let it shine. ALL of the actors did a fantastic job with their characters! Things I enjoyed the most: funny, true to the book, baseball scene, kissing scene-intense, and Mike- better defined and likable. Bottom line: Twilight successfully embodies the characters and emotions so eloquently described in Mrs Meyer's book. Even those unfamiliar with the series will enjoy the movie, but it won't be as funny to them. Twilight has even won over my husband, who wasn't at all interested before seeing the movie. He and I anxiously await New Moon!!!!
