I loved the books but the movie left me a little deflated. I thought the movie was lacking in character development. I would have preferred less of James' trio and more of Edward and Bella's courtship. Instead of the tree climbing I would have liked for Edward to tell Bella Carlisle's story. Edward's reaction to the sun was supposed be brilliant instead it looked like a skin condition. I hate being critical but I was hoping for a lot more especially with the kind of special effects we are capable of in this day and age. I did like Jacob and I am looking forward to the second movie. I liked the characters I just wanted to leave the movie loving them.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
