love the movie, great choice of actors, will be reading all the twilight books, and going to see all the movies. Could watch the movie over and over and over again The book is different than the movie, I actually like the book more because it goes into more details, so I had to reread parts of the book after i saw the movie. The movie will be a great series can't wait til they all come out

I am a huge fan of twilight, I've read all the books, and I was very much looking forward to seeing this movie! I was, as any other fan of the amazing books by Stephenie Meyer, afraid that the movie would make the books look bad or just not be good. But it was by far not only a great movie but not my favorite ever! It was not as good as the book, like any other movie that used to be a book, but it is SO incredibly awesome. The soundtrack rules, the cast was PERFECT for the parts, I just can't believe how awesome it was. DEFIENTLY recommend it, boys or girls, it's extremely worth it. I've went three times already! (:

My wife (married 38 years) and I came out of the theatre holding hands and it was a very romantic evening for us.! Great movie, great cast and great scenery! I was amazed to find out that Forks and La Push really exist.! We are now reading the whole series of books.

I knew they would have to leave thing out in order for it not to end being 4 hr. long. there were some changes that i did not agree with that the book played out better. but all in all a good movie and i would go see it again. I also cant't wait for the next one.

this movie is overall okay. i was totally excited to go see it, but when i left the theatre, i was think in to myself, thats it?? it was 2 hours long, but if they would have included more stuff from the book, then it would have been longer, and i bet people would still be dying to see it. it seemed like bella and edward felll in love like atfer 2 in of knowing eachother, when in the book, it was like 5 chapters till they even started talking. i for sure think the book is better than the movie. but its still worth seeing

It was a great movie! It was too short, though. Would have loved to see more evolved storyline of Edward and Bella. Should really read the book first to catch all the references made. It was funnier than I thought it would be.

well i loved the movie the only complaint i might have is thet there were parts in the book that went on for chapters that were over and done with in like 15 seconds in the movie. It kinda made me feel like they left too much out i understand they must leave some parts out and that you cant sit in a 7 hr movie altho i think most of us woulda. And in the book edward is so confident and sure of himself and bella so fragile and akward on screen the roles were a little reversed,,, edward looked almost akward most of the movie and bella the confident strong one.. over all i loved the movie and will be counting the days till new moon !!!!!

I was very hesitant to go see this movie, since I loved the books so much. But I have to say that I loved the movie, too! It stayed true to the book in most cases and while the acting wasn't the best I've ever seen, it captured Edward and Bella pretty well! I was sorry it was only 2 hrs, I could have sit through an entire adaption of the book easily. I am very anxious now for New Moon- I can't wait for Jacob!!!

I really enjoyed the movie. I have read all the books and the movie was a great companion to the books. Even if you haven't read the book, it is truly a good movie on it's own merit. I can't wait to see what can be done with a bigger budget.

I have to say that it's not as good as the books, but it was still an EXCELLENT movie! I keep telling people to see it, because I believe that it's a movie for anyone and everyone. It's got action, romance, maybe a little bit of horror for some people. It's got comedy (Mike Newton, hahaha). It's a well-rounded movie and...well...amazing! GO SEE IT IF YOU HAVEN'T YET!

I am a very critical person when it comes to a movie made from a book. I usually think that books are way better. However for twilight, I actually liked some parts in the movie better than in the book!
It consists a balanced amount of romance and action. So boys, you can enjoy it too.

This movie held all the charm and breathtaking romance that the book did, and that's difficult to duplicate on screen. The characters were exactly as I imagined while reading the book. The story followed the book amazingly well. The cameo of the author was an extra bonus and smile!

As a general rule, the movie is never as good as the book [due to time constraints], and unfortunatly, this movie did not dissapoint that.
Over all though, definitely worth the money.

I am really wondering if any of the other reviewers read the book. How could you read a book with so much passion and then be happy with this sad interpetation? The screenwriter did not take any time to build up to how the love between Edward and Bella developed. She see's him her first day of school, has a class with him and all of a sudden they are madly in love? If someone hadn't read the book they would be thinking "huh"? Kristen Stewart shows no emotion. She looks scared most of the time, not in love. We actually counted, and she smiles a total of 3 times in the entire movie. What about all the playfullness and teasing Edward and Bella share throughout the book.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I knew the movie would not be just like the book, but I felt the animal attraction by Edward was lost. I wanted him to lust after her, while he was tormented by the idea of his hunger for her. The scene in where he catches her sent in biology class was so rediculous, he looked like he wanted to throw up, rather than fighting his hunger for her blood. I was just disappointed in the acting. However, I think character of Bell was played very well. All the cullens were great, and James really got into his part and played it well.

It wasn't exactly like the book, but it was still great! Actors were all awesome, was very exciting, and awesome to watch! It was also great that the theater warned people that if they screamed when they saw Edward Cullen they would be kicked out, so I'm glad the movie was not interrupted by screaming teenies. :)

Bad acting from Kristen, and Robert (bad casting) and why did they make Edward look like a freakin Easter "Peep" when he is in the sunlight? I couldn't stop laughing, even with my wife giving me the evil eye!!

I never read the books of the Twlight Series, but my daughter has and my niece wanted to see it so I decided to bring them. I'm not one to read but I think I just might have to start reading the series so I can see what happens next. I hope they make a series with this movies because it was AWESOME! Okay, so it missed a few things that were put in the book and even got a few things wrong, but for trying to squeeze a 600 page book into 2 hours, it was done very well. I think the actors were extremely talented and played the characters very well. Bravo.

If you have not read these books, there is a solid chance you really won't understand the motivations of the characters. Pattinson plays Edward just like Meyers' alternate book from Edwards point of view so be ready to see an Edward not like the one we read in the Twilight book. Its really hard to get super deep characters without hearing or reading what they are thinking. I think Pattinson and Stewart do a noble job of it and the movie has some really great moments. Overall I give it a B because its really disjointed and lacks flow. However, I also give it a B because I happen to love the Twilight series!
