This movie was the best I have seen in years. My daughther and I went to see it, with several of her friends. The story in the movie has some differences then the books, but that only makes it better! The love story between Edward and Bella is the one of the best! My daughter hopes that you will make more movies and books. She normally doesn't read this type of book, but her friends have her hooked on them. It is great!!!! They want to go see it again, and I definintely would too!

Pretty good movie ... definitely worth seeing. There was not enough dialogue ... I think it deserved to be a higher budget movie, with better special effects. The casting was overall pretty good ... Laurent was pathetic. I think that Victoria was cast very well, especially in context with the next books. ... More passion for the story from all the actors would have been better. Robert Pattinson was iffy in the trailers, but was wonderful in the actual film. James was too sexy to be the bad guy. The more I think about the movie the more I liked it. And I saw it twice, so it's not just for YOUNG girls. I certainly understand the obsession!

The movie tried to pull off the romantic cheesy lines, but I was laughing more than anything. I saw it opening night and the tweens and teens were running to grab a seat in the theater. They screamed when Edward first came on screen.
The movie was okay, but I believe I would have rented it when it came out on DVD.

I really loved this movie... In fact i am planning on seeing it again... and again... and again! I thought it really lived up to the book and the cast was great. Really the only complaint i had was that i didn't feel the intense love between bella and edward thati had imagined while reading the book, but i guess fantasy is always better in my head!... it was an excellent movie and i cannot wait to own it!

You can't put a book like Twilight onto the screen without losing half of the emotion you experience from the book. I felt that Kristen Stewart was painful to watch, and that the movie was the book on fast forward. They ruined my absolute favorite scene from the book, the one with the meadow.
I wish I could have enjoyed the movie as much as everyone else, but I just wasn't very impressed.

I thought this movie was great and kept as close to the book as it could in the time allowed. If you didn't read the books you might not get some of it, especially Jasper, but it did capture all of the parts of the book that everyone loves so much.

I went with a bunch of fellow employees and my daughter. We loved it so much that we are all going again. I look forward to number two. The only disappointemt was the meadow seen.

Poorly acted, bad effects, bad makeup. Hopefully they can fix the latter two in the sequel. Is there still time to send the entire cast (except Charlie) to acting class?? It could have been a good chick flick, but I (and the rest of the audience) just laughed the whole time.

I don't know if I would recommend it to a friend who hasn't read the book. While I loved seeing my favorite book characters come to life, the movie left a lot out...some of the awkward situations were only funny to those of us who knew what had happened in that instant in the book. Otherwise, I think they did they best they could...I think New Moon will be better because they know ppl will come to see it...in droves, probably. It wasn't a perfect adaptation, but I liked it anyway...I liked the cheesiness and the awkwardness. The book, at times, was cheesy and very awkward so I enjoyed that part of it. It was humorous and made me love the awkward situation between the characters even more. I am going to see it again tomorrow...can't wait! :)

This 50 year old loved the movie! The actors portrayed the characters in the book perfectly. I am not sure however, if someone who has not read the book would have enjoyed it as much because the story moved so fast and without the insight from the book might be hard to follow. I felt like the movie could have been longer and I am hoping the next movie is! My favorite character, after Bella and Edward of course, is Alice and her character could have been played up more! Overall, the movie was most enjoyabe and I will go and see it again!

I was SO excited to see this movie after reading all of the books. But after the first 10 minutes i could tell that it was going to be a long night. The writing was terrible and the acting was even worse. I think they spent more time picking actors that looked like the characters than they did picking actors who could ACTUALLY ACT. Furthermore, they did not come even remotely close to developing Edward and Bella's love story. They skipped over the most crucial part of the book by not showing their true love for one another. I was very disappointed with this movie.

I'm a huge of the Twilight book; but you definitely can't compare it to the movie too often or you'll get disappointed. I felt the scenes at times were a little choppy and quick. People who haven't read the book might get a little confused because of the quick scenes. But other than that, the actors/actresses were great and I can't wait to see how New Moon is going to come out!!

I went and saw the midnight showing of "Twilight", and it was alot better than I expected. The music they chose was excellent, and I also thought the way they filmed was pretty good too. Although, they did take out some parts of the movie that were in the book that I wish were in the movie, it was still pretty true to the book. Especially with the volleyball scene, which was a deleted part of the book. Also, I didn't like who they chose for Rosalie, she had the acting down for her, but there was something about her face I didn't really care for. Other than that, an awesome movie for an awesome book, and I cant wait for the rest of the saga to come onto the big screen.

I've read all of the books in the Twilight Series and couldn't wait to see this movie. Obviously, they can't put every little thing out of the book into the movie because they have a limited amount of time to work with. Despite this, the movie was great; I loved it!!!! Edward and Bella were brought to life for us and you could just feel the love they have for each other. Edward is the man every woman and young girl dreams of. This is a movie I will definitely watch over and over again.

The movie was done very close to the book and I loved all the characters and how they were played, except for Edward.
I hate to say this but I did not buy Rob as Edward. He can be attractive but he did not get in the role of Edward. Edward is assertive and firm, a gentleman and sweet. There is nothing wrong with Rob's look but his performance showed an Edward who was just angry, a little shaky and almost a little dumb.

I thought the movie was great as long as you didn't try to compare it to the book. The book was just way too good. I wish the movie had been a little longer so that it could have gone into a little more detail. I did not like the way Edward ran! It didn't look predatory or scary it looked more like E.T. running through the woods. I hope the next movie spends a little more time explaining Bella & Edwards love for each other before he takes off. As someone that did read the books before the movie I understood how deep there love was, however the movie barely touched on it.

I was a fan of the books before I knew of the movie. I did enjoy the movie, but not as much as the books. The time constraints don't allow you to feel the build-up as much as the book. However, I thought it was great and stuck to the book for the most part. I was surprised to see some of the characters I had pictured in my mind while reading the book. I loved the ending - very beautiful!!!
