The movie was overall good, entertaining, and beautiful to look at. I felt the story paralleled the book and was happy about it. Kristen and Robert were great in their roles as Bella and Edward, however I was not particularly happy with the some of the other actors. Jasper's role was limited and his personality did not come across on screen, I hope he gets better in the following movie. Rosalie's selfishness didn't ring true and hope it gets better in the follow-up movie. Carlisle, Esme, and Charlie were great! I would recommend the movie to other fans..the movie is like the book in that it's easy to follow and be entertained by it.

I am a HUGE Twilight fan and bought tickets to see the movie not only for the midnight premiere but also for the next night ahead of time online. After the midnight showing, I didn't even want to see the Friday night showing. There were so many inaccuracies and on top of leaving out some of my favorite scenes, the acting was HORRIBLE! Robert Pattinson was fine in Harry Potter which makes me wonder about the director. Overacting actors and a slow start. Read the books - they're so much better. I hope they make some changes for New Moon.

Very good movie. I thought the characters were almost dead on to the book. I do wish they allowed Bella to show some joy once in a while...movie character was way more serious than the book.
Edward was great...intense...what a vampire should be. Glad that Jacob will have a bigger role in the next movie!
Great movie and sure will be adding to my DVD library when it is released.

I definately enjoyed this movie. I am a devoted Twilight fan, having read all the books numerous times. The movie cannot quite match the intensity of the novels, but it does follow the plot line well, and the cast is good. There is good chemestry between the main characters, and the director's interpretation is spot-on.
Go see Twilight for a romantic and delighful movie experience.

I absolutely love this book series and was thrilled to finally see the movie. I even went to the midnight showing with about 25 sorority sisters, that's how pumped I was for it. But it definitely did not live up to my expectations. It was like a cheesy soap opera--people were laughing at parts that weren't even funny! I thought Robert guy was cute but his Edward was not even close. He was awkward not smooth and debonair like Edward should have been. Plus, the Cullens didn't look like I would imagine at all. I am pretty sure Rosalee was mid thirties. It was just a disappointment.

To be honest with you the movie was ok, but just like alot of other peoples opinions they left out alot of important parts of the book, plus they put in parts that didnt even happen the way the book did,they could have made it longer like the lord of the rings, we would have sat through it and it would have only seemed like a regular run time movie. I really hope New Moon will be more detailed and more thought out .

Me and my fiancee went to see this movie the second day it was out and it was amazing. So good we went to see it again the next day. As soon as it comes out on Dvd i am positive we will be purchasing it. We love love LOVEDDD it, and thats an understatement. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone.

After the shock of the modernized movie verison, I was pleasantly suprised. Rosenberg and Hardwicke did a wonderful job of presenting information of internal thoughts. Personalities of the Cullen's, not present in the first books, were developed in the movie. The characters played their parts well.

I got involved with the Twilight books just to see what my daughters were talking about. And I couldn't put them down. And the movie definitely did not disappoint! I think that they did an unbelievable job telling this story and staying true to the book. I can't wait to see what they do with the other 3 books. It only gets better with each one. This is a great movie for anyone. Very intense romance but also kept very appropriate for young people. THE BEST!!

Although they did not follow the book exactly this movie was very entertaining and a great compliment to the book series. Edward was cast very well! Easy to fall in love with. I highly recommend this to anyone who has already read the book. I can't wait for New Moon!

The film is excellent! The baseball scene is definitely one of my favorites and they pulled that off wonderfully. The ending will be slightly different to what fans of the book are used to, but it does a great job setting up New Moon. All in all, it's definitely worth seeing. The cast did a phenomenal job with bringing Bella, Edward, the Cullens, the Quileutes, and the nomads to life and I have to give MAJOR props to Billy Burke (Charlie) for giving Bella's dad a real sense of humor. Definitely check this movie out!

I was very excited to see this movie as I loved all 4 books in the series. Although there were some variances from the book to the movie, it remained pretty close. The visual effects were great and I think they picked a great cast. I think the movie did the book justice and I'm eagerly awaiting New Moon.

The movies are never as good as the books! However, when taken as a separate entity from the book - I found "Twilight" delivered the story well. The casting for this movie is AMAZING - not just with the primary characters but also with the secondary characters, which are just as important to the story telling. I've been listening to the music for weeks, and enjoyed seeing where each song fit into the movie. BUT - the most important part of this movie was the chemistry between Bella and Edward. AWESOME is the only word that comes to mind for me seeing these two on screen! I loved the movie and would go see it a second, third, time!!

i thought that this movie was as close to the book as possible! i really enjoyed all of the characters, but jacob, and bellas friends! some parts were a little cheesy but other than that i thought that it was awesome and i definately cant wait for the rest of them! the cullens and bella were as i pictured them and the love between the two was amazing!

I thought the movie was pretty good. I think it went along with the book ok too. There is only so much detail you can put into a 2 hour flick from 500+ pages of print. I thought some scenes were very well while some fell a bit flat. the only thing I really hated was the makeup! Carlisle looked horrendous and Rosalie didn't look too good either. Hopefully the budget for the next films is bigger so they can fix that. Overall though i would see it again, since i love the books.

The acting in this movie took away from the content. Although the first couple of times Bella and Edward spent time together was written to be awkward, it seemed as though the acting was not up to par. The movie itself wasn't that bad, but it was not like the book. Towards the end of the movie it seemed to come together more, but I was disappointed by the beginning.

I have read all the books in the Twilight series, and was very disappointed in the film. I felt that there were some unnecessarily slow dialog scenes and emphasis was taken off of individual characters to make sure all characters from the book were mentioned. The character development of Bella and Edward fell short of what it could have been. The only redeeming feature was the transformation of Edward's character as he fell in love with Bella.

I loved this movie. It's not as great as the books but I still can't wait for the next 3 movies. I do think they need to improve upon the quality of the movie if they want to keep people coming back for more. I have read all of the books and I am completely addicted so there is no chance that I won't see all of the movies. I've seen this one twice already.

Not having read the book before seeing the film, I didn't know what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, especially Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart who I thought played their roles perfectly, and will be reading the book as soon as I can get my hands on a copy.

While most movies created from books don't even compare to the original, Twilight managed to be an exception. Throughout the movie they had little things that only someone who had read the book would get and kept to the spirit of the book. The acting was way better than I expected, but I wish they could have had a little more time for character development of the Cullen Family, but since they have signed on to the next movies, I'm sure that will occur. Overall. it was fairly good.
